I've stayed in many places all over the world and I have never encountered staff like this before. They were absolutely wonderful from start to finish and my daughter and I were made to feel very welcome. There are many proprietors who could learn a lot from the staff at the Bricks about how to welcome guests, and provide advice and assistance before arrival and throughout the stay. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of storage space for clothes and bags. The whole building has been very tastefully renovated. The self catering element was fun. There is a major supermarket situated close to Valle Aurelia Metro station (10 minute walk) where you can get everything you need. All in all a very comfortable stay with airport transfers all taken care of in a wonderfully efficient manner.

The location is a problem for me. There's not much the property can do about this of course. The 10-15 minute walk to the Valle Aurelia Metro station is not pleasant and the quality of the path is poor. Part of it was not lit up at night. There are some extensive roadworks underway, and maybe things will be improved when these are completed. Taxis are very cheap in Rome, so this could be an option to avoid the walk to the Metro. The bathroom was a bit on the small side and lacked space for toiletries. A towel rail was a notable absentee, and would be a useful addition.

The owner is very nice. She is helpful, she gived tips and advice for sightseeing. The room was clean, the beds comfortable.

The access (there were a strike, we couldn’t take the metro). We can take the bus, but the time to wait is long.

Staff were exceptionally helpful & personable: They went above & beyond. They arranged a private tour, carried our bags up to our room, printed out documents to assist us after a wallet was stolen at the train station & were always available. The room was clean & comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked & organized.

It would have be an advantage to have an optional breakfast, at this accommodation. The bathroom was a bit of a tight fit & it took a fair amount of transferring & time to get there (both a train & bus): We opted to take a taxi back from the hostel to Rome to save time, hassle of luggage & multiple transfers. A better price would have also been appreciated. It is not as close to transportation, shops & restaurants as expected, but manageable

Very friendly staff, lovely rooms. Great terrace both by the rooms and on the roof. Kitchen was great and lots of storage and there is a shopping centre a ten min walk away. Also drinks available in the hotel at reasonable price (3/4 euro a beer I think) Rooms were modern and bathrooms were clean. Fresh towels everyday. We traveled as a large group so having the extra bathroom in the hallway was very handy.

The location and getting into the more touristy parts of Rome is a bit frustrating. The staff were helpful in showing us the quickest way in with buses/metro. We ended up using taxis alot, however they are hard to get a hold of (a Rome problem not this hotel).

The room and the bathroom were small but very clean and the beds were really comfortable. There was a shared kitchen and an extra toilet on our floor which came in really handy. There's a nice homey feel at the hotel, and the highlight was the receptionist who was super accommodating, kind and friendly. She gave us all the information, took as much time as needed, and made us feel at home. The hotel is located outside the center of the city but there's a bus stop right next to the hotel.

We had to leave our Airbnb suddenly because of roaches and picked The Bricks quite randomly and in a moment of panic. The room was such a relief! Super clean, bright, and comfortable. Super convenient location with a bus stop just steps away. Exceptionally helpful staff who then set us up in an apartment for the rest of our stay in Rome. I can't recommend enough!

Close to the wild park - good for a short walk with the dog. Close to the metro station. Close to shopping center and supermarket. very helpful hotel staff explains all the possibilities of getting around the city.

You can come with the dog but the dog can not stay in your room alone - you are supposed to take the dog with you every time - it is a quite a difficulty sometimes. It is very dirty in the neighbourhood as well as in the whole city of Rome.

The building that houses The Bricks Hostel is picturesque despite seeming very new - breakfast in the courtyard was a delight. The air-conditioning in the bedroom was much appreciated because Rome was pretty hot in August this year! The staff were remarkably friendly, there was a great atmosphere in the place. The kitchen was right outside our en-suite room so it was almost like having an apartment, really comfortable and convenient. Plenty of vending machines, but the water was drinkable from the tap in any case.

The Bricks is a bit outside town. Although it's right beside a bus terminus (so very easy to predict the times for the bus) the 10 minute walk to the Metro was a bit of an ordeal in the hot Italian sun... but that's really the only fault I could find with our stay at The Bricks.

The best staff, they were so informative when we checked in. Room was clean, basic and comfortable. vending machines in lobby were useful

While the property is accessible by public transit to city centre, if you come back late to the room then uber/taxi can be very expensive because it’s outside the city centre.
