I did like how close it was to different food options. I also felt comfort walking around at night by myself.

It was on the small side but can't really expect too much more in an old city. It was also unfortunate that it was not close to a metro station. There was a tram and bus stop close by and taxi stand not far away.

My wife and i really enjoyed staying at Xenia Guest House. We were welcomed by Maria, a very friendly and lovely lady. She had recommended a lot of restaurants for us to try and cant go wrong with it! The homestay is strategically located at the heart of rome, everywhere is within walking distance such as pantheon, colosseum, trevi fountain and many more! One of the lovely neighbourhood, Transtevere is also very closely. There was coffee machine and milk frother provided which is perfect. Hot shower, comfy bed, safebox, everything is there. Thanks again Maria.

The rooms were immaculately clean. Less than 10 minutes from the pantheon and the place where Julius Caesar was killed. Number 23 bus is less than 5 minutes walk away and drops you off at the Vatican museum Mini market same building round the back

The kitchenette for the shared breakfast area can do with a more practical toaster in place of the vintage one there.

The location was great! Ideally located in the tourist area, but far enough away that you get some great reasonably priced restaurants and aren’t taken advantage of. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable. Service was outstanding! Maria provided us with a list of wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby to try out and her suggestions were perfect! She pre-arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport, which really helped make our travel stress free.

We struggled with how to get into the hotel. It’s an apartment inside the building that is not accessible without a key. We arrived 30 minutes early and didn’t know what to do. I sent a message to Frederico through Booking.com and he immediately messaged me using WhatsApp. Perhaps an email with instructions when you book might help? Also, just a suggestion- a safe in each room for passports and extra cash.

Everything! The location couldn't be better! The facilities are great, private room in an apartment that is actually a guest house, with great hosts, super nice and welcoming, they were waiting for us to greet us and explained about the room. The living room is shared, big and has a great coffee machine as well as tables to set small Italian breakfast (pastries from the near by Campio de FIori market). The room was spacious and quiet (double glazed windows), the entrance to the building is classic and super chic , large wooden door that is closed at night. We felt great!!!! It's my third visit in Rome and I will return to this hotel in the future for sure! Thank you Maria and Francisco for your hospitality!

Room was very clean, our faced an inside courtyard and was very quiet. Location was excellent, just steps away from the Tiber River and the Travestere area. Cafes which were located very near to the hotel were also very good and reasonably priced. Good place to get a cappuccino and a pastry, breakfast or a light meal. Elevator was old but quaint and definitely helpful considering the entrance to the property is on the 5th floor. Wish we stayed more than just one night!

The only thing was the shower. It took me a bit to figure out the hand held shower,(just pull out the diverter don't twist!) but once I did it was fine. I didn't use the overhead rain shower head, but it looked very nice. Inside the shower was no place to place shampoo, etc. and nothing to hang onto if needed which could be a safety issue. Also make sure the glass shower door is closed and properly positioned over the slightly raised threshold, otherwise water will seep out onto the floor.

Fantastic, authentic property in the centre of Rome, close to all the main tourist sites but also close to Trastevere for great restaurants. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a reception area for relaxing with a morning coffee or evening drink, with coffee machine, kettle, microwave, fridge and sink for client use as well a selection of books of the area but you won't need them because Maria is awesome in her hospitality, recommending restaurants, giving guidance on the area / transportation and generally looking after us very well. The guest house is on floor 5 of an amazing old building with an old lift, which we thoroughly enjoyed - think Poirot era :-) We felt very safe, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Excellent stay. Beautiful place with all mod cons. Great location. Staff were great. No complaints at all. Good hairdryer, fridge too. Bed was so comfortable and theres no noise from the road at all. So quiet. The bus outside the door goes to Termini station and is 1.50 euro. Also, it's in section 1, on the 5th floor. We found it hard trying to find the location once we were inside. Will return for definite.

The location of Xenia is amazing! Nothing is more than a 25-30min walk away, you’re very close to Travestere which is a neighbourhood full of amazing restaurants. Breakfast isn’t included, though there’s coffee and tea making facilities, a microwave and a fridge. The property is very clean. Maria and Federico are so helpful and kind! nothing was a problem. We will recommend and be staying here again. Thank you for making our time in Rome so wonderful.

The bed is more on the smaller side (small double) and the shower is also quite small, though the shower head is high, so trying to shave my legs was fun lol! My husband is 6’3 and I’m 5’9 so if you were shorter it wouldn’t really be a problem.

The host was brilliant and couldn’t say a bad word about them, the cleaner cleaned my shorts for me after a stain. The host offered complimentary drinks, made our anniversary great and offered good food local recommendations. The property was modern, bed was comfy and enough wardrobe space for both. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Nothing at all. Only slight annoyance was the shower door as it doesn’t swing both ways when you go in, but that’s if I was being really picky.
