The location is great. It felt very homey and cosy. The staff was helpful and so so lovely. It was quiet, good for sleep. We really enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were a little bit smaller than we expected, and the air-conditioning is only on/off, without the option to increase or decrease the room temperature, so it was a little bit cold.

The location of the hotel is very good as it is in a walking distance from major monuments f Rome such as the Pantheon, Fontana Di Trevi, Piazza Navona. The hotel staff were very helpful and they did everything they could for an unforgettable stay. The breakfast although basic, it was tastefully and what you need to start your day. The wi-fi was very good and with high speed. The hotel is in 1 minute walk from a tram line which takes you in 5 minutes to the Trastevere train station.

The window was facing main street with tram lines passing just below. It is not only very noisy, but one can also feel a vibration from passing by trams. Its not a problem at night, as they are not running, but late night and earlier mornings its hard to overstate their presence. I believe this hotel has rooms facing park on the side, or even inside garden which I presume don't have this issue.

The location is simply perfect - everything with 15-20min walk. The staff is one of the nicest and helpful i have seen in the long time. The total vibe of the hotel is very authentic and cozy. Never regretted the choice. Stayed for 3 nights, 2 adults and 14 year old.

The price is on the higher end, would appreciate a bit lower one. Other that that - no more bad points.

Hotel Locanda Carioli was a very charming hotel/guest house in the historic center of Rome. Very accessible on foot and by car, it was easy to get to, but also easy to get our for the airport. The staff was accommodating and the decor—a mix of modern art and historic decor—was eclectic and interesting. The rooms were also a good side, as were the bathrooms—and and water pressure was excellent! The staff was also able to arrange an airport transfer.

The hotel doesn't have a main entrance on the ground floor (it's on the second floor of an apartment building), so you do need to understand which keys work for which doors (a bit confusing with big Italian portoni). Also, one door was locked for which we didn't have the key and we had to wait a few minutes for a porter to realize we were there. There also wasn't staff on call 24/7. Breakfast was technically included, but apparently you had to let the staff know the day in advance, which we weren't told, so we didn't get to enjoy breakfast onsite (and the second day we left too early). Also, the bed was quite hard.

Amazing location: close to Trastevere, the biggest landmarks and attractions, but not too noisy. Friendly staff: very helpful, specially when we had an issue trying to reach Roma Termini without a taxi, due to a marathon. Charming building: located on the second floor of a 300 (or so) year-old building with lovely decorations and style.

the best thing about this hotel is the wonderful location! the hotel is on a first floor of an apartment building and only has around 15 rooms, so it has a more boutique-like feel than other options. depending on taste, this could be a negative aspect, but we liked it. the rooms are all different, with tons of artwork hanging on the walls. the decor is truly great.

beds weren't very comfy and my dad, who broke his foot and is on crutches, needed a shower stool and they couldn't provide it.

Special shoutout to Ada for being extra accommodating to me and my family. The rest of the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location was spot on. Near major landmarks. Easy access to transportation.

Wifi network needs to be upgraded since they only use repeaters. Suggest they use Mesh Wifi if cables are not allowed.

Great location, easy to walk to everything within minutes. Good sized room for the single I booked. Guido and the other gentleman were very helpful. Solid place to stay.

Can hear noise from street right outside window, can hear people within the building. Bring some earplugs to sleep like me and it’s not a problem.
