Discreet entrance to this small but perfectly formed hotel with exceptional views across to the back of the duomo (the view is at the back of the hotel. The front of the hotel overlooks a street at the top of which is the Basilica of San Domenico). We were very lucky and had a wonderful room with terrace (the only one in the hotel, I think). The breakfast was continental in style and also very good with fresh fruit and pastries as well as cereal, meat and cheese. There's an honesty bar and you can sit on the terrace at any time. The staff were extremely hospitable, helpful and friendly. You won't be woken up by noisy people but you will be by church bells and occasional drumming. It didn't bother us though. It's about a 8 min walk to either the duomo or Il Campo. Definitely recommended.

Great location with an outstanding view of Siena from the breakfast terrance. Delicious breakfast with lots of options. Beautifully furnished and comfortable rooms with lovely antique pieces. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Close to everything you'll want to see. A lovely public area to sit and relax. It also has an elevator. I would definitely go back to Siena and stay here.

Everything was perfect here! I have no suggestions for improvement. Just keep providing this lovely place to stay while visiting Siena. I can't wait to go back.

This was our favorite hotel on our trip through Tuscany. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The views of the churches from our room were breathtaking. This 800 year old guest house with only six rooms exceeded our expectations. Gabriella was very helpful with helping us negotiate dropping off our luggage and parking the car at the stadium, which was a 3min walk. The living room and breakfast room were so romantic. The breakfast was wonderful with local foods and a happy hour in the evenings with wines to take out on the patio to listen to the church bells and swallows over head as the sun set. It was a magical stay.

Just be aware that if you a driving a car, you have to negotiate the limited traffic area. It wasn’t too much of a problem as Gabriella was very helpful communicating with us.

Colomba our host was so charming. She is known all over town and helped us enjoy Positano all the more. We missed our shuttle to dinner one night and she drove us the 5 minutes which was 15 and walked us into the restaurant and spoke with the owner and we had a great table and a ride home after dinner.

it’s Positano which means steps! There are 170 steps to walk up to get to the property from the road. it makes you enjoy the view more and i will say works off the many pasta dishes you will eat on Positano.

The hotel is charming, clean and well maintained and the views over the city are just amazing! Most importantly, the staff (MarieLouis and Gabriella in particular)were fantastic- warm, friendly, helpful. Over the years we have stayed in many really beautiful hotels and realize the importance of being made to feel truly welcome( hotels are in the “hospitality” business after all!) Hosts were absolutely amazing! Hospitality was exceptional, the room was clean and comfortable. A little small but the property overall and the staff made our stay memorable in every positive way!

Room was a bit small, as was the bathroom but - it was an older building, filled with charm and other amenities that more than made up for it!

The location was fabulous. It was right in the center of everything but it was still quiet. The breakfast and view from the terrace was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire property was well kept, very clean and furnished with antique furniture. It was a perfect setting to enjoy Siena.

The room was a little small and the mattress was a little soft on one side.

What a lovely boutique hotel experience. The accommodations were refined and comfortable. We had a view of the narrow cobblestone street out front, but the breakfast terrace provided an amazing view of the picturesque city and Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts wonderful.

The property was wonderful Room View Breakfast Staff All exceptional… highly recommend and if ever find my way back to Siena will have no hesitation on booking. Let me add Gabrielle couldn’t be more accommodating Grazie to All !

Location & View

Beautifully restored historic building in excellent location. Room 6, with its vaulted ceiling and original features, had stunning views across to the Duomo and other sights. There was every attention to detail in room and bathroom, plus lounge, where a sumptuous breakfast was served. Gabriela was a most welcoming and attentive host. Overall, it sets a new standard for boutique hotels.

It’s a long way from home, otherwise I’d revisit regularly.
