I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is located in the peaceful district of Ortigia, and everything can be explored on foot. There's a fantastic spot for swimming in the sea right across from the hotel. The breakfasts were delicious, and the coffee in the morning was perfect. My room was clean and tidy, with a well-equipped bathroom. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room rate included bicycles, which I highly recommend, as there are beautiful cycling routes along the coast in Syracuse. 5 stars for this place!

This was such a treat! A BEAUTIFUL building - more salubrious than I was expecting - very quiet and such a cool haven during the heat wave. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a lovely buffet with cooked eggs to order if you want them. My room wasn't large but ample for just me, with a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The bed was so comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. Highly recommended - a lovely experience to stay with the nuns!

Honestly, I don't know if I'd recommend the in-house spa for its massage. Not great, I'm afraid.

The location was excellent, right in the edge of town looking over the water and a short walk form the public garage. Also the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, very friendly and accommodating. We were able to use the spa facilities at the sister property the day of our arrival and they were able to get us in for a private visit to the Turkish bath plus a massage.

We originally were meant to stay at the sister property but were swapped a few days prior due to renovations. This wasn’t a problem but we still went to breakfast each day across the way.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a grate view on the sea. Good breakfast and a nice little terrace on the top to enjoy the fresh air.

Its very closed everything. Very elegant but also to thick curtains make the rooms very dark. But in the rooms you cAn open them and also the windows and you have the sea coming into the room😁

Perfect location, right next to the seashore in a fantastic building. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was nice always having someone to greet you. There were good choices for breakfast.

Quiet location, very good breakfast, clean, staff very helpful, they changed my kettle immediately I told them there was a problem

Could only use the kettle by crawling under a desk to take out fridge plug and replace with kettle plug.

Comfortable bed, great shower, good breakfast and beautifully decorated hallways and breakfast room. Location across from the water was excellent, as was the rooftop patio.

Smoking was allowed on the premises and the room was a little dark. The wattage of the bulbs was insufficient.

the location was excellent, the staff were fabulous. we also loved the hotel cats! we did have heavy bags and so needed assistance to get them up the stairs ( Benessere has a lift the other part of the hotel across the road does not)

the shower - is very small and I kept bumping into the shower caddy!

Located in Ortigia so walkable everywhere. Converted convent on a grand scale. Beautifully furnished with religious overtones. Large selection of breakfast goodies. Staff friendly & helpful. Nuns still live there so occasional encounters.

The shower was particularly tight. Difficult to move in and certainly could not bend over.
