Best part: The staff was so kind and cheerful. They looked after my luggage so I could go to the Greek Theatre and grotto before my train left but after checkout. I appreciated check out being 10:30!! Also, nice tea service in room and fantastic breakfast. What a value! It’s an easy walk to the train station and the island and just a small hike to the Archeological park. The room was a very pretty yellow. It had everything I needed. It was quiet to the street. The AC worked great.

The room had a bit of a musty smell. The A/C helped with that. The room shares a wall (or maybe a set of doors blocked by an armoire) with the reception so sometimes I could hear people clearly talking. It ended well before 10 pm so no problem.

From arriving at the hotel we were impressed… We had asked for a accessible/wheelchair friendly room and was informed there was 2 steps to the room, this in itself was no problem for us but there is also a lift that connects directly with the room, the entrance in reception and step before the room was ramped, making it very accessible, the shower hot & powerful with a seat and is roll in, no step… The room had working heating/cooling & may be classed as small but adequate with tea tray & television… Breakfast was continental meats, croissant, cheese & ‘ espresso’ coffee… Staff are very helpful & couldn’t have done anything more to make our stay more enjoyable… If I was to return, I would definitely book this hotel… please note this is a 5 star recommendation but the hotel is not, amenities especially for anyone in a wheelchair are top rate without paying top price…

possibly the breakfast area isn’t very accessible but as it is near the bedroom, for us no problem, we just had breakfast in our room and this suited us perfectly….

The staff have really worked hard to change the things mentioned in older reviews. Everywhere looked like it had been recently decorated, the bed was comfortable and the linen was fresh. The furniture was lovely old wooden items, these were well polished and suited the age of the hotel. Yes there was the odd scratch but it seemed in keeping with a building of its era. Loved the tiled floor. Really appreciated the kettle and fridge in the room, the luggage storage and the air conditioning. The hotel is a short walk from the station, convenient if you arrive on the night train.

Other reviewers have commented on breakfast which I think could benefit from a bit of thought. Maybe try and visit a couple of other hotels with international guests or do a simple survey of guests. From an English perspective it's nice to be offered a hot drink as you arrive for breakfast but we weren't. When we asked we got one but it's difficult if you don't know the etiquette. Cornflakes were available but only with tiny bowls and no milk. There was yoghurt on our second day but not the first. Hope this is helpful feedback, reading other reviews the hotel has clearly done lots of work. We loved it and hope to return one day.

everything was very well organised with responsible reception. Bed was comfortable. The room has a window with sea view. Breakfast was good, in particular a lady was organising everything and made all coffee drinks with just a small kettle and mini espresso maker! she also made croissant herself. The building is old, but we loved it. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to bus and train station, also in walking distance to the sightseeings.

There was a little leakage from the shower.

The room was very comfortable and clean, the aircon was new and very quiet, and no noise intruded from other rooms or the street outside. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was generous. Another plus was the proximity to both the bus station and the train station.

The wifi wasn't great, but from what I could tell, the staff are working to improve it.

There is an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Everything is functional and the rooms are spacious and clean. It does not appear brand new, but it all works, and I felt very welcome and well taken care of. They went above and beyond to accommodate my need for a safe place to keep my bike, and I saw nothing but smiles and had friendly conversations

Great location just off the island but heaps of parking in the back streets. Nice simple breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable. It has a nice vibe about it.

Lift was out but the boys carried our luggage up and down. Was out of order but they could not have been nicer.

Very good value for money. Great for a family who wants to have easy access to the centre of the city as well as have some nice restos around the corner. Great and helpful staff and management.

Some refreshing would be cool but really good enough to rest well ans have comfortable conditions for holiday.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location , very close to all points of interest and the island as well as the bus terminal. Very spacious room , a little dated but still very charming. Would highly recommend this place .

The view was more of a parking lot than a seaview we were hoping for.

the room was spacious, on a quiet street, close to the historic Center. loved the bath tub—a bonus in Italy. The staff was super helpful— with taxis, buses, etc. and they spoke fluent English—also a bonus in Italy. Home baked croissants a third bonus.
