Arrived at Hotel Casa Mia and was impressed with the beauty of this hotel. It was a family home in an important area (the main street) and is decorated with the owner's furnishings/decor. The lift worked my first day, which was helpful at check-in. It is a short walk to restaurants and shopping - any many of the cities main sites. I started my day with a lovely breakfast and very attentive staff! It is possible to walk to/from the Bus or train station without a problem!

While the Hotel is lovely, I continued to have problems with the WiFi all during my stay. Only by moving upstairs to the reception area or the outdoor roof, was I able to use the computer. Unfortunately, I missed a business meeting because of this! Staff did attempt to resolve the issue; so hopefully, this will not be a problem in the future. And while Casa Mia is lovely ... my twin bed and pillows were Terrible :o(

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room has everything clean, and the hotel has a good living room/courtyard. Breakfast was very good. And I like all the antique furniture in the place with good quality beds. I think this is a great hotel option close enough to the train station.

Our room has good-sized windows, but there is a walkway right next to it, and another guest could peek into our room if we open the window. For privacy reasons, we had to close the windows. And a little bit of repair and care would make this place great.

Casa Mia is a beautifully maintained older hotel a few minutes by foot from the main tourist area of Ortygia. The furnishings and décor are of a period and very charming. Although the hotel is located on the busy Via Umberto, the rooms are isolated from the street, adjoin an interior courtyard, and are completely quiet. The location is very convenient for the traveler as it lies about halfway between the train station and Ortygia, which saves wandering around the narrow streets of Ortygia after dark trying to find your hotel. Breakfast is buffet style and more than adequate. An added bonus is an outstanding small restaurant nearby, the Osteria del Vecchio Ponte.

Hotel is in a great location, right next to excellent bakeries and a short walk to Ortegia. Also walkable to the Siracusa Archeological site. The rooms were large and clean. The building and rooms are old, but in a charming way. Reception was very helpful and welcoming.

Note: Booking.com inaccurately states that there is parking included! You can use street parking if you can find it, or there is a nearby surface parking lot for 15 euro/day.

We absolutely adored this charming hotel. The location was great and we were able to walk everywhere- to the theater, Ortigia, the museum, market , and restaurants. We parked our car right around the corner and didn’t use it for two days. The room was small but comfortable and doors opened up onto the terrace. A happy surprise was just how quiet it was at night. We expected traffic and street noise but it was silent for a great nights sleep.

We loved this small hotel, it was within easy walking distance for train station and the Island of Ortiga. It was great to find it had an inner courtyard which our room opened out onto. For a few euros more the breakfast was very good. We were grateful for the lovely receptionist who helped us with a small problem we had and we were also able to extend our stay for another night.

It wasn’t a problem for us at all but the bathroom was a little jaded.

This place is a little gem in the busy holiday Syracuze, so I shouldn't be really telling anyone about it but then here we are! I want to thank the staff for being brilliantly attentive and responsive to all our needs, also the lady I never spoke to, who served us a wonderful breakfast every day. This was all on the honey side of life:)

Location excellent,halfway between island and archeological museum.Both walkable from hotel.Bedroom delightfully comfortable and we liked the outside area with little tables and chairs.Breakfast really very good and staff friendly and very helpful especially Receptionist,Angela.Bathroom a little small!

The lock to the front door is difficult after 8pm when the large wooden door is closed.We cracked it third and fourth night but only with help from a passing stranger on the first night!

The breakfast was wonderful, great service and accommodations! It had a wonderful variety of things, great coffee, and you could even request an espresso or Capuchino! The location was fabulous, close to the market, beach, port and various restaurants! The staff was Amazing! We Highly recommend this fabulous home feeling hotel! We shall return!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Good location, walking distance both to railway and bus station as well as to the historic part. Breakfast very basic.

When I arrived there was nobody at the reception though they declare that the reception is open from 8:00 till 20:00 and my arrival time had been declared in advance. The maid advised to come in an hour and a half. As to the room cleaning: on my arrival the floor in the room was dirty.
