Carlo is an exceptional host, in fact he turned a friend quite immediately. He's going out of his way to make his guests feel welcome, assist with anything we would need AND to make the most delicious and highest quality breakfast we ever had on the island. These cornettos con crema di pistacchio are just a delight, my mouth is still watering at the thought of it. The place itself is relatively simple in terms of facilities, but absolutely beautifully decorated. Carlo is not only a born host, but also a born artist. In our room, the family room, the wall was a mural with attached ceramic reliefs, absolutely breathtaking. Talking about breathtaking, so was the communal terrace. What a stunning view over the Taormina Bay and yet such a cosy hang out with a library, art pieces and many, many plants. Well, I guess it goes without saying that I would highly recommend a stay with Carlo and his beautiful family. Especially for families, as we travelled with our 15 month old daugther and had a wonderful time.

I could not recommend this B&B more if I tried. The photos do not dot his place justiceFirst off, our host Charles was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. He gave us really great tips of where to go, what to do and where the locals eat. The room: 11/10. Large balcony with panoramic view of Taormina and the Tyrrenian Sea. Room and bathroom were massive. Gorgeous art and decorations. Ginormous, comfortable bed. Great shower and pressure. Powerful airconditioning. Location: 15 minute walk to the heart of Taormina. Beautiful and quiet. Breakfast: Charles cooked us up an awesome savoury breakfast in the morning (eggs, salami, toast, fruit, salad, juice tea and coffee). Parking available for 12euro per day. So disappointed we only had 1 night here. You’d be crazy not to pick this.

Absolutely nothing.

EVERYTHING! The location is stupendous and certainly worth all the twisty roads to arrive. Eating a marvelous, generous breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea is a breathtaking experience! The king size bed was super comfortable and the artwork on the wall behind it was spectacular! Charles was very friendly and helpful, providing us with a map with many recommendations. We loved walking in the historic centre and ate at Solaris, a small restaurant off the beaten path and overlooking the Roman Odeon theatre.

Not much to say. The shower was a little basic compared to many but still had plenty of hot water.

From the minute we arrived in Sicily, Charles was so helpful. He sent us information about which coach to get on, where the train station was and pictures of some reference points once we were in the main centre of Taormina. Charles greeted us at the property, promptly showing us to our room. The room was immaculately clean, with plenty of storage, clean towels and bedding. It included a mini Fridge, a safe and had an air conditioning unit. We arrived at around 15:00 and Charles made us a superb lunch, with hot toasted sandwiches, fresh juice, tea, coffee and cheese and olives. Whilst we were tucking in, Charles sat down and explained all the sights and exploration points in Taormina. The terrace has the most beautiful view of the East coast of the Island, it's a must to get up and watch the sunrise. The kitchen is fully equipped with all crockery etc that you need if you're making your own lunches, or just brewing a cup of tea. The breakfast that Charles makes, is phenomenal! We requested some traditional Sicilian food, and Charles did not disappoint. We also went on a Tour of Etna, which left at 08:00, Charles told us which bakery he goes to. Told us to mention his name and pick what we wanted to take with us, with no charge. We had our own keys to come and go. The access was really secure and had a small car park if necessary. Charles was always on hand, just a message away, offering help and advice about the local area. He also booked our taxi to the train station on our last day. The B&B is about a 10min walk to the town centre, and not for those who are unstable on their feet. It is quite hilly, but worth it! The town gets quite lively and loud after 21:00 and might be noisy if you're staying in a hotel in the centre. The peace and quiet at Charles was worth the walk. We can't wait to go back to Sicily and Taormina. We would definitely stay at La Terrazza Sul Mare again.

Nothing! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing view, we even got upgraded to the very large room facing the sea. Parking on premises. Easy communication and check in, our host was super helpful and gave us great recommendations.

A bit of walking to the city, min 15min (not ideal when its in the middle of a heatwave like it was the case for us). AC is not the strongest and there is none in the breakfast room, which was uncomfortable, but again we were there in the middle of a crazy heatwave. Shower is quite small, the balneo kind but feels a bit tight.

We had an amazing time at B&B La Terrazza Sul Mare Taormina! It exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and had an amazing view looking at the ocean, the beds were comfortable, I travelled with 2 of my girlfriends and we all had our own bed. The host was very friendly and accommodated all of our asks and questions. We received a very delicious breakfast, oven fresh croissant, bread, coffee, tea, juice....we couldn't ask for more on our first night after arriving in Sicily. La Terrazza sul Mare is a beautiful B&B. The host Charles and his wife couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The room is spacious for two, comfortable for a family, and there is a beautiful private terrace with a stunning view of the sea. The B&B is a short c.10 miniute walk from the centre of Taormina.

There is a little background road noise from the autostrada which passes between two tunnels a 1km or so below the property but it is something you don't notice after a while.

Very good housing, 15 minutes by walk from the city center. Amazing view. The room was spacious enough for 4 people and the bathroom is very big. The room and bathroom were clean. We have booked the room without the sea view but the owner gave us a better room with very big and cozy balcony, much appreciated. the owner gave us useful information about our stay in Taormina and also about our whole trip in Sicily. Definitely the best housing we had in all Sicily and the next time we are in Taormina, this is where we are going to stay!

The breakfast could have been a bit more diverse for our taste, however it was a typical Italian breakfast and it was very tasty.

What a lovely place, Carlo was very attentive, welcoming and informative with a genuine desire to make one's stay as pleasant as possible. Beautiful balcony directly overlooking the coast. There was a constant sound of vehicles from the dual-carriage way below, but it was more back ground than overwhelming. The breakfast was made by Carlo and enjoyed on the South facing and huge terrace. A little walk out of the centre and steep at times but perfectly placed away from the bustle of the busy and lively centre. A beautiful hilltop town, with an active climb to the 4th and highest level with fantastic panoramic views of the coast and Mount Etna; and equally down to the clear waters on the sandy bays and coves. Many good restaurants in the centre. A very popular destination even in October. 2022 when we visited.

Charles was very charming and attentive. The place had a home-like quality to it. There was a quirky style, but that added to the charm. The room we had was spacious and we had our own large balcony overlooking the sea wtih a great view from it's perch on the hill. If you are looking for big hotel luxury, this is not the place, but it was a pleasant and informal B&B.

There was a bit of a walk to get to the center of Taormina, some of it hilly. Driving to the facility was a challenge through narrow, winding streets with pedestrian traffic, but no different from other towns in Sicily.
