location location location! private beach with a snack bar and restaurant, lots of coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance, 5 minutes drive to city center. Staff was amazing! patient, attentive and helpful.

the elevator is soooo slow... :-) Restaurant on the beach - not great flavor wise. must have water shoes to go into the water, shells and pebbles hurt your feet.

Great boutique hotel in Mazzeo beach area. Very quiet, clean and extremely friendly staff. We were greeted by Gabriele and he was lovely, showed us areas of the hotel, welcome drinks and took us to our room, explained the hotel and services as well which was appreciated. The hotel itself has a modern yet Italian feel to it, the rooms are average size but enough for 2 for a few nights, balcony has a sea view and directly across the hotel is the beach club - if you’re using the beach towels, it’s an additional fee which we found weird when the entry to the beach club is free.

Although there’s a bus to Taormina, it’s a 5-7 min walk from the hotel and only comes once every hour - really inconvenient when you miss one or in between weird half hours times - also the last bus running from Taormina is at 9:30pm to the hotel which is quite early, so if you’re planning to stay in town for late drinks and dinner, download Uber to get fixed prices. Breakfast is ok, very minimal options - mainly pastries, cereals and weirdly uncut fruits - you have to peel entire oranges or kiwis which I thought was strange..

the staff were very good, Tia, Gabriel and Asia were super helpful and the girl with the glasses in the restaurant. Had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back.

There was the main server at the beach club restaurant who didn't give me an upfront table near the beach but made me sit at the back because I was eating only dessert - tiramisu and a coffee. 70% of the restaurant was empty. He said the front tables are for food eating only for restaurant. That was a little upsetting. The Older f7B staff should be trained on how to be pleasant, the gentleman was a grumpy old chap. Once my mother called him for service and he pointed his hands rudely telling her to wait. This kind of behavior is not expected from a professional.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them and provided lots of helpful tips for getting around. The hotel was very clean and modern. We stayed in the 'double with side sea view' room. The room was spotless and spacious with a balcony. Breakfast was included, a wide spread of continental and buffet options and very tasty. There is a bus stop about 400m up the road from the hotel which costs you 1.10 EUR to get into Taormina. The beach club run by the hotel is across the road and provides sun beds (at no cost to hotel customers), you can stay there the whole day. The restaurant at the beach club was well priced and had delicious food. You can hire beach towels from the hotel for a small fee which was very handy.

The hotel was lovely. The rooms were really clean and the bed very comfortable. The pool was a really refreshing experience with nice cabana beds. The hotel was small enough to feel quiet and relaxed. The staff were very helpful. It is a short bus ride into Taormina and only a couple of euros. There is a bar and restaurant overlooking the beach attached to the hotel. The staff work tirelessly and are all very helpful. The food was delicious and a high standard. There are also other bars and restaurants close by. Thank you to the staff for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

There is nothing that we didn’t like.

The hotel is located on the sea. This is the small town of Letojanni. Taormina is located on the mountain. We got there by rented car, but there are also buses. Our vacation took place in January, so the hotel was practically empty, like the city as a whole. There were also very few people in Taormina. We love this time of year for walks; it’s not hot at all, about 20-25 degrees during the day. Convenient access to places associated with the film The Godfather and Mount Etna. Everything is nearby. We'll definitely be back!

The sign at the reception said you cannot bring food into your room. We often shopped at nearby cafes. No one told us anything, I hope this is not a strict rule, otherwise it’s strange. ​

Hotel Rivage is a truly lovely little gem offering excellent value for money.. Located on a quiet street opposite a super beach, with a beach bar and restaurant owned by the hotel, this is perfectly located for a beach focused holiday. And yet not far is the beautiful bustling town of Taormina to explore. The staff truly understand customer service (special thanks to Tina and Enrico) and could not have been more helpful.

The only disappointment was the food but we had booked the half board option and therefore only saw the table d'hote. Sadly that could have read "half bored", especially for any vegetarians. However, to be fair to the management this option was inexpensive. Perhaps the cost ought to be increased a little and more imaginative menu options offered?

Lovely hotel, family feel, warm and welcoming team. The hotel reception couldn’t do enough to help with our stay, offered recommendations including a sunset boat trip (picked up from the hotel) definitely book this and we spotted dolphins!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very clean and cleaners were on it every day. We would book again and recommend to anyone who wants to see Taormina with the peace of a quiet location.

A very nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Best are those which face the sea. Staff is extremely helpful. The manager takes care personally for everything you need. Excellent breakfast in a nice terrace. The hotel restaurant on the private hotel beach is very good. There's a nearby bus station that takes you to the center of Taurmina in 10 minutes, so we didn't have to use the car at all. Parking is free and available on the street near the hotel. Highly recommended
