La Rotonda is a small, family-run hotel where you can truly feel the owners' dedication and commitment. The hotel is conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the train station and offers free parking in a public parking lot across the street. The fun part was that you could see the Bernina Express passing by, just from your balcony. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was both delicious and plentiful. Communication with the owners was excellent—they were proactive in asking and providing details regarding our check-in time and the most practical way to complete our stay. Additionally, they were very attentive to any potential food allergies or intolerances and even offered the possibility of packing breakfast if we needed to check out early.

We had a super value room with a huge balcony with a mountain view. Decent bathroom, a good size and quiet at night. Sunny breakfast room with a decent Italian breakfast and a view of the Basilica campanile Lounge area if you didn't want to sit in your room. There's a cafe attached which did light meals at lunchtime. Ten minutes walk to the old town and the stations. (You can watch the Bernina Express wobble along the famous on street sections during the daytime)! Picture is the actual view from our balcony!

It would have been useful to have known about the attached cafe hours before we arrived. It was a vegetarian menu - exactly what we're looking for! But it had little publicity, and when we came down for a late lunch just after checking in, it was too late. We would have eaten first if we had known.

Got there very late because of train was messed up. Got to almost later than usual check- in time. Stuff guy was very nice and helpful. Hotel room was clean. We had a balcony with good view. There was a hiking trail near a river around hotel area (Just followed the sound of water.) We found it by accident but the view was breathtaking. Bernina express even passed outside of our hotel. So interesting.

Location was closed to train station but two heavy luggages 15-16 mins of walking felt longer. But overall was manageable.

We stayed here for 5 days. We had a twin / two single bed - room with a balcony. 🛏️The views were absolutely stunning and the location was great. 🗻Within walking distance of the station, and plenty of restaurants / shops near by too. 🚉It’s family run and the staff are brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. 🏨Good selection at breakfast, and on the day we went out early, breakfast was provided to us the night before in a cooler bag ❄️Rooms got cleaned every day and the cafe part of the hotel was also very convenient in the evenings/ lunch time. 🥪 Will hopefully be back!

Good sized room, good bed, NO carpets on the floor, very clean, and the best of all, a lovely balcony with tables and chairs. First morning I had take-away breakfast, which was the best ever, given me the evening before with freezer element in a cooler bag. Next morning I had breakfast in the hotel. Good breakfast and delicious cappuccino. Very friendly and helpful staff. My room was on the first floor with no elevator, they took my suitcases up for me. A bit outside the old town, approx. 15 minutes walk from the railway station. But if you don’t mind walking it’s a nice walk. Wouldn’t he itate to stay here again.

We liked the hotel, it is clean, pleasant, very good location approx. 15 minutes from the Bernina Express Train Station. I had a very good communication with the people at the hotel. They gave us good instructions. They helped us with storing our luggage and even ordered us a taxi and sent them to the train station so that we didn't have to go to the hotel. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back.

We weren't there long enough to assess this - we arrived late in the evening as a landslide following terrible weather had closed part of the train line. Simone was very helpful in keeping us updated about this as we made our way from Naples. We left early the next morning.

We didn't know until we were almost there that there would be no breakfast before 8 am. It's a good 20 minutes from the train station and we had to arrive early to catch the Bernina Express. We were given a packed breakfast that was meagre really - half a round of cheese/ham sandwich, little brioche, apple, a small yoghurt and a drink. Had we known the breakfast limit we'd have booked elsewhere.

The hosts of the property were very nice. The property is situated close to the border of italy switzerland and is an ideal spot if you want to take Bernina Express. The breakfast in this hotel was decent (croissants, muffins, boiled eggs, cheese, chicken salami /turkey salami, juices, coffee, tea). The check in time is until 10pm but the hotel staff made an exception for us and let us check in at around 11:40pm. The room we got also had a very nice patio and we loved our morning tea in it.
