Very nice, clean, safe. Lovely staff working here. Parking is secured by a gate and there is always someone there. Clean spacious double room with big comfy bed, air conditioning working very well, hot water, wifi, tv. We stayed for one night and it was exactly what we needed. We didn’t get the breakfast but it is available for 10USD per person.

The only thing is that there is huge construction going on right next doors so you don’t have have the best view and the workers are there from 8am. It didn’t bother us as we stayed just one day and left early but of you staying longer get the rooms facing the other side!

The location is great, it gives you the feel of being way outside the city but is practically in the middle of it. It’s close to all the major cities/towns in Kingston. The room was was exactly as advertised in the pictures and it was very cozy, the bed was a 9.9 out of 10 and the pillows were the same. Even got quality blankets which both myself and my wife were pleased with. The staff were very polite and helpful and the grounds were generally quiet. The property was secured but honestly felt safe even with out security. If you a looking for the perfect spot this is it.

customer service was great , they contacted us to confirm if we were still coming .the stay at Shirley retreat was a home away from home .I slept sound , overall Shirley retreat I would recommend my friends and family to book a room when staying Kingston Jamaica.

Shirley retreat is clean , quite and the location was nice right in the middle of the city about 30 mins from the airport .food was mins away.i will give Shirley 👍

Whenever I stay at the Shirley's Retreat Hotel, I enjoy my experience. It's mostly quiet, except on occasions where there are early check outs, I could hear the doors open and close. The staff is great and very helpful. The property is always clean, inside and out. The rooms are moderately nice, but very comfy.

Hot water is not always available, and some TVs in the rooms have limited channels to choose from.

The room was small but had enough room that we needed. The room was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and very accommodating even when I had forgot a piece of information that was need.

Nothing from what we've seen. It all was up to our expectations. The most we could say was that the batheroom door was a bit constricting when trying to pass into it but it wasn't a big issue.

They had my reservation on the wrong day and with the wrong price. I took a while but at the end they managed to change it to correct date/price. Rooms are nice/functional and clean. Lot's of restaurants in walking distance.

Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect for the Carnival, which was why we booked. The breakfast was lovely, good portions and the hot chocolate was exquisite. Car parking available too!

No shower gel, shampoo, conditioner or lotion provided, which we didn’t expect. Small hand soap only. The facilities and rooms could do with a bit of a makeover. A pool would add to the amenities.

The chef and staff were very nice, friendly, and kind but $10 for breakfast was too much considering that you get only 2 pancakes, some eggs, and a cup of tea. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful. The complex is gated with 24 hour security which is nice also. It is in close proximity to everything.

There is not enough room on the outside for you to enjoy a walk or simply sit down and relax in the shade.

My stay was comfortable and the staff were friendly although not available at later hours but the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable.

Breakfast was not included but an additional cost. Would have preferred if it were. There was an issue with getting an iron and iron board; each room should have their own. Shower needs replacement; pretty old.

Had the Jamaican Breakfast, the kitchen and Hotel staff were amazing. The room was quite spacious and clean. Will definitely be visiting again soon. The historical knowledge is valuable, if you visit (ask the staff) amazing story. The receptionists told stories of the hotel's history, got recommendations for dining and partying 🎉🎈. They were very helpful.

The property doesn't have a bar lounge area but they did have refreshments on sale... For the Restaurant you'll need cash. Other than that, amazing overall experience!
