Staff were very courteous and kind. I would like to give special mention to Jermaine from reception who went above and beyond in helping us with our luggage yesterday. Also the two lovely ladies who served breakfast on the 22 February. Your beautiful personalities made us feel really special and I would like to thank you both. The room and bathroom were clean. The room was spacious with two double beds. You get complimentary water in the room. Breakfast was delicious and choices were good. There were a lot on offer for the cooked Jamaican breakfast which we opted for. There were also continental. These were served with a bowl of fruit and there were also fruit juices and coffee and tea. We did not eat an evening meal so can't comment. The hotel is located just across the street from Emancipation Park which is a beautiful park you can exercise or relax in. Lots of local transport passes outside the gates of the hotel. You can get private hire taxi or shared taxi with fares at $150 Jamaican dollars. The JUTC buses are even cheaper. Knutsford Express is a 10min or less walk. Lots of eateries around - restaurants and fast food outlets including KFC and Juici beef. When I next visit Jamaica and Kingston in particular, this is the place for me.

Super spaceous room with good hot shower, airconditioning, fridge, tv. Went swimming in the pool and played pickleball on the court. Perfect location. Delicious jamaican breakfast!

You can only get one breakfast serving at the buffet, so no going back for seconds. This was not explained properly in the beginning.

Breakfast was good. Being able to enjoy authentic local cuisine was the highlight of our morning.

The room door was squeaky. Could have used some WD-40. I did not call the front desk about this though. I felt that the room is being cleaned often enough for someone to notice and have the squeaky sound fixed as it was very loud and it’s not normal for doors to make sounds unless there’s a doorbell. The noise on a Friday night is unbearable. Some concession should be made for persons staying on a Friday. I did appreciate that the neighbors responsible for whatever even it was, adhered to the noise abatement act so I could consider sleeping by 1 am.

In my opinion the LC is the best place to stay in Kingston. You will see reviews on here saying the LC is old and has seen it’s better days and yes there are brand new hotels like the AC and the ROK which if you didn’t know you are in Kingston , you’d think you were in Miami. Yes , LC was built in 1910, the original building is old and you can see this, having said this, that’s what gives the LC its charm. The LC is in the middle of New Kingston so you can walk 5-10 minutes to so many things like Emancipation Park, several eating establishments. The LC has an incredible pool, racket ball courts, tennis courts and a very adequate weight room and you can walk the grounds . You feel as if you are on your own island in the middle of a busy city. So you can pay $300-$400 to stay at the new places if you need to feel special or you can spend $75-$125 at the LC and feel loved

Really nothing I didn’t like. The weight room could use some new equipment but it’s not necessary

Location was great. Not far from my event and adequate parking with security is a plus. Room was clean and linen was fresh. Toiletries were on hand. Complimentary water and teas plus kettle, iron and mini fridge in room as advertised. Staff were friendly and helpful and responded within seconds to address our few issues.

Breakfast was late. Delayed getting to my event early. That could be addressed. AC was noisy and I did not get a large bed as requested while booking instead two single beds were in the room.

Perfect central location in the heart of New Kingston, close to the Knutsford Express allowing for easy transport to the airport and major towns across the island. Good Jamaican breakfast. Very courteous and helpful staff. Comfortable clean room wirh a nice large bed, and in my opinion much better than staying in a large hotel. A very cosy environment and good value for money.

Some of the facilities in room could do with an update. For example, the iron was not working properly (water ran out when filled to steam) Bedside lamp was a bit wonky and electric socket not working, so I was not able to use it.

Front Desk Staffs are very helpful. Room is good and clean. Surroundings is good and well maintained. Very safe place to stay. We ordered for the lunch and order took too long. Chef came out and apologised and food came out fast. Lunch food quality and quantity was good. However, one of the Manager also came to our table and apologized. Also offered a complimentary mocktail. Later on, we realised it was charged to my bill. While I checked with the Manager, he said, sorry it is wrongly charged. I have to pay for it. 🤦‍♂️

Continental breakfast options are very poor. 3 days we had only fruits ( depands on availability ) and breads and omelette ( only cheese ). If you are staying more than one day, it is really challenging. As this is the first meal of the day and expected good BF. Restaurant service was not very impressive. It's NOT value for money. Rest everything we enjoyed.

Quaint, rustic, homely, quiet. This is an ideal place for the person who just want a relaxing and peaceful environment with not too much going on. The food is great, much better than the competition where I just happen to have spent some time as well.

Could do with a little attention to general things like the doors, locks and windows. Plus check the back of the metal chairs in the dining area, that could avoid a lawsuit.

The location was very central. The staff were all very courteous. During my stay I received a call from the restaurant each night to confirm if I was coming down for dinner. The food was great, and the prices were affordable. Daily housekeeping was received which has become a rare service within this hotel industry since covid. Bathroom was of a good size, and I had more than enough toiletries for my entire stay. Water pressure was good, and I had access to hot water. I enjoyed my stay and will return.

I wasn’t too keen on the wooden floors but it wouldn’t affect my rating.

Room location facing tennis court; next time would like a ground floor room. The breakfast was good, thanks to Jessica who served most days. Directions as to what to expect , times of service in the dinning room, and menu could be posted or given to guests.

The mats on the tables seem very old, and there is not enough coffee mugs at breakfast time. Had to ask for a mug and wait for it to washed and brought out. Is there a historical brochure about the place? The Liguanea Club is a historical property. Could not find much on Google. e. g. How old is the property?
