Having spent some time in a very small hotel room in Tokyo it was great to have plenty of room. There was a nice lounge area where we could talk to other guests and a spacious l, well equipped kitchen. There was a great supermarket just ten minutes walk away (Ogden). Lake Kawaguchi was about 400 yards away where we got a great view of Mount Fuji. So long as you are ok sharing the facilities with other guests, I would thoroughly recommend this place. I should mention that we stayed in a private room rather than a dormitory. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Home from home with great location.

The staff were super friendly and the facilities were great - big kitchen with free supply of herbs and such for cooking, and the lounge area was so cosy and nice - I didn't know there would be a small traditional Japanese area with a kotatsu but it was wonderful to sit in there and relax while they played ghibli piano medleys on the speakers. It's also so close to the lake where you can get great views and do some of the touristy things like the cable car and boat tours. Just walk 5 mins down the main road and when you turn around, BAM there's the mountain in all its glory haha.
There were only two sinks between two rooms on the ground floor - I know one holds six people but I'm not sure about the size of the other. It just meant that in the mornings sometimes you'd have to wait a bit for other people to finish getting ready before you could use that area. Very small issue though as I was really pleased overall.

The hostel is one of the best ones that I've been to so far. The common areas are very well-equipped, large, and comfortable, everything was ultra-clean. The rooms are fresh and enjoyable. It's such a great place to meet people as the common areas, lounge, kitchen and outdoor terrace make it very easy for one to connect. Kawaguchiko is a beautiful village, and I would definitely repeat it. You can rent bikes from them as well! Free coffee from 8 am to 10 am for the caffeine addicted.
The beds don't have curtains, in which case, it could be annoying if you the other people in the rooms tend to have lights on.

The staff seemed very friendly and helpful during my stay. I got a free laundry ticket, as I was staying more than 2 days. Everywhere was clean. There was a common area and kitchen. The shower was hot. The location was great, it was very close to a bus stop to get to places further away, a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko, shops and restaurants.
I wanted to reduce my stay, as my plans had changed but they would not refund 1 night. Also, my travel diary was either stolen from people in my room, or the staff found it and didn't want to send it to me, so told me that it wasn't there. Either way, it's not great. I would have given a higher score if this hadn't happened. Especially as the diary is of no value to anyone but me, so makes no sense why anyone would want it.

Everything is ok. I had concerns of staying with strangers, but in Japan no need to worry, your staying together is all fine. Just keep in mind you are sharing with other, so if you are waking early to do your personal stuffs, then it is easy for you. you have bathrooms in all floors, which you can use. everything is ok. I borrowed bicycle and went a long round in the southern bank of Kawaguchiko and had taken good photos.
Japan generally is pricy compared to south east asian countries. So, that was only hitting my budget. But its ok and worth.

We stayed at K’s House Mt. Fuji for 4 days and 3 nights and we really loved it! The staff were very helpful. The room that we got was spacious and beds were comfy! We also met a wonderful family during our stay and our 5-year old son met new friends! The shared area like the kitchen, dining and living room were great spaces for hanging out! Definitely recommended!
Just the wifi being not so stable but understandable (since many people might be using at the same time).

Great staff and facilities. This was one of our few experiences with a hostel and it did not disappoint. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The kitchen facility was great and had everything you needed. We rented their private room with an ensuite bath - which was a great value. The location is superb being an easy walk to supermarkets, restaurants and everything the lake area has to offer. We luckily had clear skies and a tremendous view of Mt Fuji from the lake.

We loved our stay so much we extended an extra night. Beautiful location close to the lakes, restaurants, parks and bus stops to the train station area. Fully equipped kitchen with tons of space for cooking, great common area. We used the bike rentals everyday to explore the area. Our room was spacious and comfortable, it was very quiet at night. The staff was very kind and helpful and kept the place very clean.
Nothing!

One of the more social hostels I've been to in japan, met some fun people. Proper kitchen facilities, staff helpful with tips and recommendations. Close-ish to station, very close to convenience store, bus stop, park with good views of Fuji (great for sunrise). Bike rental available. Would love to stay again.
Could do with another laundry machine. Would like curtains on the beds for privacy.

It felt like a home. Very comfortable and homey vibes. My favourite kind of hostel. Amazing kitchen with bits to cook with. Lots of bathrooms that are hot. Beds comfy. Bike rental and cute slippers. The lounge was a lovely place to chill Location is great, near the lake and bus stop around the lake and to center. Such a beautiful path near by to view fuji. You can see fuji pretty much anywhere. Staff very helpful and kind.
No curtain on bed was a little impersonal but you get used to it.
