- bed was very comfortable. - private room available for our group. - washrooms were clean. - free parking (upon reservation). - amazing view of mt. Fuji from the rooftop! - strategic location to food places. - unlike most hostels, they gave us free toothbrushes.

- room was not sound proofed at all, and the guests beside our room were very loud. the hostel provided earplugs though, and we were too tired, so we slept just fine. - shared shower space between men and women (a bit uncomfortable for us, a group of females, to be in a room with a half dressed male). we opted out to go to a public onsen instead.

The location was the best part - 8min on foot from the train station. A welcome suprise was that they had a rooftop garden where you can see Mount Fuji perfectly! The beds were very comfy - the linen was extra soft. They provided us with personal slippers and towels, and the staff were super responsive over message - very unusual for Booking.com so I am very pleased! Check-in was smooth and effortless, everything done online - there is no staff in the hostel. Everything was very clean and they had a laundry room attached to the showers. This is by far the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at.

It wasn't made clear that the showers were on a different floor to the women's bathroom before we booked the place so that was a bit of a suprise. And the only negative comment from my friend is that the hairdryer was a little old - worked perfectly fine though.

This is a great hostel within a short walk to the Mt Fuji train station to get around to see some of the major sights, including Lake Kawaguchi and Chureito Pagoda. The bedding was really soft and comfortable which was a pleasant surprise and the amenities were quite clean. The rooftop has a fantastic view of Mt Fuji and Fuji Q Highlands. I really enjoyed the bar that was attached to the hostel that served really great drinks and food. It had a fantastic cozy vibe too.

You have to pay extra 300 yen per item, if you wish the hostel to store your luggage. Don't - just store your bags at Mt Fuji station's lockers instead. There's a bit of noise you can hear between the hostel rooms, outside and the bar from our room on level 1. I definitely had to use earplugs but that isn't a problem for me.

Close to the train station and a walking distance to some small shops and cafes. It's next to a main road but still pretty quiet. The staff at the bar downstairs are the best! (Although I don't think the business is related to the hostel) but they're very welcoming and friendly.

No front desk or people to help you check-in or answer inquiries. Although you can reach them via e-mail and they reply pretty quickly, I just prefer face-to-face interaction. The women's toilet is upstairs so it was a hassle going to pee in the middle of the night.

Very accessible location. The self check-in process was also smooth. I felt safe the entire stay as a solo traveller and it even had a homey feel. The rooftop view of Mt Fuji on a clear morning was fantastic.

The rooftop area either was under construction or not well maintained--it could have been a more relaxing rooftop experience. There was a kitchen but there's no information given to you whatsoever so I did not discover it until I saw the signs to the kitchen. There was also the issue of the toilets not being cleaned/cleared of trash often enough as the trash bin gets full quite fast.

Great location, close to train station, coffee shops (highly recommend FujiFab Cafe), nice rooms with comfy beds 🧡 our kids loved the bunk bed.

Only issue was bathroom for men were on 1F and women on 2F so it’s a bit inconvenient but not big problem. Showers on 1F and there’s a coffee shop/restaurant that you walk pass. Maybe some improvements in this area would be good. Overall it was great staying there with free parking too (do book in advance) Tip: go early morning to the rooftop for best view of Mt Fuji.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and you can see Mount Fuji so clearly from the roof, it really was stunning. It is near the station and is also near many convenience stores and supermarkets. There is a cafe/bar you can eat in. The beds were comfy and the room was very basic but very nice. It's really great value for the location and room.

The locks are a little weird and our door didn't lock properly at first. Because of the self check in some people get confused and a family opened our door and asked us to leave our room before realising they had the wrong room. The toilets get a bit dirty in the morning due to the amount of people staying. There was very loud construction work at 8am onwards which was not signposted anywhere in the property to warn us.

Mt Fuji station is just 280meters away fr hostel. From Shinjuku, Tokyo, our JR Fuji EXcursion ticket brings us right on Mt Fuji Station. The station has a fast food area, reasonable food choices. Station also has a roof deck :) free to view Mt Fuji!. Theres also a Daiso in the station. From here, Fuji Q Hi land is a station away, KAwaguchico Station about 5 minutes away . HOstel is very clean, c, free towels n toiletries. Heater in room. Bunk beds has privacy curtains n own lite, outlet. Free to store luggage. There's a common lounge on ground floor where you can use and can eat food from outside. Free capuccino coffee and tea. WAsher Yen200 n dryer Yen100.

Female toilet - on second level. My room with my 2 children is on ground floor. No elevator. No reception desk in person. Communicate via online messages.

The hotel was really nice compared to the price which was cheap. Both the room and the facilities were clean and all the amenities were there, so we didn't really need to prepare anything. Not to mention that the view at the rooftop was superb! We could see Mt. Fuji from the hotel.

Nothing. It was a little bit hard to find something to eat at dinner but there were a convenience store and restaurants within walking distance. It was just dark and we were not familiar with the city.

You can have an amazing view of Mt Fuji from the rooftop. Unlike Kawaguchiko station, surrounding of Fujisan is just a small town so there is really not much activity and sightseeing you can do in this town but Kawaguchiko station is only a stop away where you have plenty of things to do. This Fujisan Station is not covered by our JR Pass so we have to purchase another ticket at Otsuki (if I am not mistaken) to reach Fujisan Station. There is a free coffee machine guest can use, a mini fridge in the common area and pantry with kitchenware and utensils for your use during your stay.. The photos of Fujisan they advertise here is the same exact view you will see if you decided to stay here

I love how you they let the guest do self checking in and out but sometimes I wish there would be a staff on standby so to help guest with any issues ie calling a taxi, arranging a luggage delivery to next destination
