Hostel was well priced. The bed was comfy, toilet was clean (I didn't use shower, so can't comment). Staff member at check in was friendly. Facility and amenities are basic but it does the job. If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep, it will satisfy you. Keep in mind that there are no storage areas or lockers, just a shelf in your dorm for your suitcase. FYI: cross the road to the right side footpath when you exit the station, before walking up the winding road. If you stay on the left side, you can only cross from an overhead footbridge (not ideal with luggage).

The kitchen was dirty and messy. I was surprised when I saw a small roach-like bug in the fridge drawer, crawling past my food. Completely unacceptable, staff need to clean the kitchen, otherwise get a cleaner. The small communal area in front of reception could have also been cleaner. Also the bed spread had a stain, which was unappealing even if it had been washed.

Value for money. Near train station. Can leave luggages after check out.

Check in is only till 10pm. Luggages of other travellers are along the hallway. Shower area only at 1st floor.

I stay in a female dormitory of four, I like the mattress as it's cozy and soft. The bathroom and toilet is clean everyday! You don't need to worry about hairs on the floor and water stain on the sink, the cleaners are very good and friendly. I love to ask a lot of questions, the counter / Receptionist speaks well english and is helpful to answer all your questions, anything about Japan. The cafeteria opens 24 hours, you can sit there and plan on your next trip.

I'm working nomad and travel, thus I'll need to use the cafeteria everyday. Sometimes the cafeteria is closed due to events, hope there's earlier announcement so traveler with the same situation like me could plan earlier.

The staff was amazing, Kazu and Kanon were amazing staff! Very friendly and helpful! Not only that the food downstairs at the lounge area was delicious! It was an awesome experience staying here and it brought me back so many memories from my time in 2019 at this same Guest House. It was an honor to spend the New Year with the staff and a bunch of guests. I will forever remember this experience!

I think there weren't much that I didn't like about the guest house. If there was one suggestion, I would have it would be to maybe look into the dryer as it takes quite a long time to dry clothes, but other than that everything else was wonderful!

Nice, clean spacious rooms. Bed was comfortable, duvet was warm. The rooms are basic, but great value for money in Tokyo. I found the shared showers to always be clean. There's a washing machine and a dryer available to be used for extra cost. There were water refills available. The location is a walking distance to the metro station, but it was a touch further from other sites - probably around 30 to 40 mins on metro to most places. Didn't find this to be too much of an issue though. I didn't interact much with staff, as it seems they are a little short staffed, but they were quick to respond to the messages I've sent.

I loved the comfort of the room, the size of the room, the private bathroom. My trip was quite intense and exhausting because I wanted to see as much as possible during my stay in Japan, but when I arrived at this room I was able to recharge my batteries every night.

The location because it was a little far from several tourist sites and I had to take an additional train. Even so, there are very good means of transportation very close to the hotel and although it is necessary to get up early, I would stay at the hotel again.

The old style tatami floors with private bath room is sufficient enough for backpackers like us. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect using JR pass

The smell is a bit weird but for us it's fine. Could have use proper ventilation

I stayed in the double bed room. Was spacious for tokyo and bed was as comfortable as Japanese mattress are firm that is but fine. The food in the cafe/restaurant downstairs was cheap and delicious especially after a long flight.

That the shower was downstairs but the bathrooms were clean and they provided a towel as I was staying in the double room. ¥200 I believe for towel hire if your staying in the shared rooms. The only other thing that I didnt like was there wasn't a curtain on the window so be prepared to wake up with the sun.

The location was great. Only a few minutes' walk to Ouji station, and right by a drug store, a cute park down the stairs from the road, and very convenient. I also liked the large bath and shower room. We also really liked the music lounge room, although there was no music at the time of our visit. Seems like there are events and guests that come in to perform sometimes. Overall a good value as it was very affordable. It's a little bit of a longer train ride to the center of Tokyo, maybe 40-60 minutes to some attractions . but we planned for it and preferred to have the cheaper rate and the commute wasn't a problem for us in our situation.

The building seems old, and there was some damage on the walls that needs repairing. There's no seating inside the room, and no mugs or cups to make coffee. Although it did have a hot water kettle that we couldn't use without cups.

They have shared kitchen which allow me as a Muslim to cook our own food during travel.

We were not very comfortable with a guy that sat at the reception area during morning and night during our stay there. He always use the kitchen somehow like there is a fix schedule for him to cook there. He even slept at the area. There was this one time when we cook, we opened the window for air ventilation. He came to the window and closed it back. I hope the hotel will look forward on this issue since it reflects your image.
