It’s at a great location close to Kumamoto Castle and Sakura no baba Josaien. It’s also located near a streetcare and the sunroad shopping street. What set this hotel apart was it’s insanely kind and helpful staff. We had quite a few questions and the staff helped us happily and also in perfect english (not a must but always nice). They take care of the little things like when we came a bit later at night after having dinner the staff had apparently spotted us and opened a backdoor for us. When we accidentally had gotten only one towel the staff apologized and gave us a second one and immediately the next day we got everything double. For me the staff is one of the most important things!

The walls were a little bit thin making it sometimes a little bit noisy when people would come and leave their rooms in the early or late hours but thats fine. Not much you can do about that.

Our daughter loved the Kumamoto themed room. The room was large enough for 3. The location is great within walking distance of most things. We used the paid car park next to the hotel as our car was too big for the hotel lot but it wasn't too expensive for 1 night, especially compared to Kyoto where we were before. We didn't try the breakfast. The staff were friendly and used translation apps to communicate.

Everything was fine for the price

Nice hotel, lovely room. The room is standard configuration. small size like many rooms in Japan. Even if I didn't feel cramped at all compared to other places. The layout is good as the style. Nearly no step from the bedroom to the bathroom. the soundproof is excellent inside and outside. I could barely hear the road. So, I slept and rested very well (Room 737). The bathroom is a slight older but very functional and clean. The location is good and there is a cheap laundry corner at the 3rd floor. I didn't test the breakfast. Good price for value. So I'll definitely go back there if I stop again in Kumamoto .

Located within walking distance of the castle and only four tram stops from the train station, this is a good place to get the best of Kumamoto. It’s clean, the staff are very attentive - although sadly couldn’t help us get a taxi when we left in the pouring rain. But that is the only gripe. The hotel not only provides plenty of extra amenities (toothbrush etc), but also has a laundrette (a few yen extra) and a microwave on the third floor. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a great deal of local specialities.

We got the Kumamon-themed room and it was super cute! The room was pretty big and modern, and we had all this little Kumamon items around the room that made it such a fun stay. Plus the toilet was huge. Beds were really comfy too. Not much of a view out of the window but that didn't bother us. Service was also great - from front desk to parking. Parking was interesting because it's one of those stacked ones instead of a parking lot. The parking attendants were very helpful and patient. The location was great too - walking distance from the shopping/food streets and Sakura Machi mall. It's also 10-15min walk to Kumamoto Castle (but eventually I regretted walking the distance because of the heat).

Very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Signed up for their membership during a promotion and got 1000 points to exchange for a free breakfast during our stay. Room is quite spacious with amenities. Location is near to Sakuramachi mall and the shopping arcade, though slightly far from Kumamoto JR station.

Could have a bit more ameneties like body lotion, bath salt, body scrub, hair turban, etc.

The staff are polite and helpful, especially the man in the parking lot. He saw us carrying our luggage and he ran enthusiastically to help. Breakfast is good, so many choices to choose from. Location is good, just 700 meters to Kumamoto Castle.

If you drive SUV car you cannot park in the hotel basement parking due to the height. But there are many pay parking lots nearby (you should pay the parking fee though you park in the hotel parking.)

This is a rather big hotel in downtown of Kumamoto with good facilities and rooms. There is also lift parking which cost 1100 Y / night. There is a very near Tonkatsu restaurant ( 300 meter) far from the hotel .which is very good. It is 7 mins. drive from the hotel to Kumamoto castle. Overall rating is high for this hotel. Good buffet breakfast too.

If you're traveling within a budget and would like to spend a couple of days in Kumamoto, this is an accommodation option worth considering. Pricing is more than fair, the hotel is overall clean and well taken care of, and location is central enough.

Check-in process is automatic using some machines at the front desk, and can result tedious for a non-Japanese. I could have used some help from hotel staff, but they seemed unbothered by the issue.

I booked a room for 3pax stay and it was spacious enough for 3 of us. There was ample walking space even if all of our luggages open. The Kumamon bears and the souvenirs from the hotel were a bonus, they gave each of us a plastic folder and a Kumamon Bear sticker. The onsen bath was also a bonus.

Would have been a great additon to have a sauna room together with the onsen baths at the top floor.
