Prime location next to airport shuttle bus, at Kyoto station and next to bullet train! Right next to Don Quito which is opened 24 hours. Plenty of good options around the area! Free drinks/soup downstairs from 2-8pm, I even had a matcha latte that was legitimate. The room was very big in Japan standards. Short bus/train ride to Gion, Nishiki Market. Friendly staff, very helpful when sending luggage to airport!

The bathroom smelled like sewer, the room had balls of dust in the corners, could be cleaned better!

Location was right across the road from Kyoto Station, 7-Eleven with ATM right next door. Room was comparable to other high-end hotels in major Japanese cities - small but nice for a very good price. Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke enough English to assist with hotel-related matters.

Bed was pretty firm, but I found this to be the case in most of Japan's hotels. I think there's only 1 washer/dryer for every couple of floors, I got lucky with my laundry times, but could be an issue. There is an option for the hotel staff to either clean your room or leave it alone, but I wish there was an intermediate option for the staff to just leave new towels hanging on the doors.

Being across from Kyoto station is convenient. There is also a mall, coffee shop and convenience store attached to the hotel. The room is clean and the shower very nice. Breakfast has a wide variety of buffet choices of all you can eat. The staff allowed for me to check in a little early and a little later.

The price in comparison to other hotels is high. The location doesn’t allow for taxis to come to the hotel so you have to catch the taxi at the station with long line ups. Being so close to the station means a lot of night noises.

The room size is bigger than our other hotel and the location was the near train station. The entrance was straight-forward and it was hard to get lost. The location was great considering it was near a mall and the train station (which I previously mentioned). The room was well spaced and had a good amount of walking space. The place was clean and the room had everything we needed.

To be honest everything was pretty good. There was nothing much to dislike. The only problem was that it was hard to speak with the reception people because they didnt understand much english. It was just a minor inconvience but other than that everything was great.

The staff were helpful and friendly; and, in their place when we checked out, there was an easy and manageable self check-out service that was swift and effective for us to use at 7am. The bed in our room was SOOOO big, and was very spacious -- we loved that. The facilities were great and, being next door to both a train station (Kyoto Station) and a department store, there were plenty of restaurant options nearby. The amenities in our room were great, and we loved the moody lighting in the bathroom. It was close to public transport with both underground and overground options to reach Kyoto Station, and a bus terminal out the front and a few stops along the main street.

The hotel was in a good location esp with the bus station to the airport and to Arima onsen just next to the hotel. Its wonderful that the hotel practices sustainability.

I didn't like that there were not clear enough signages from Kyoto station underground that could easily lead to the hotel. I didn't like the limited choice of bread at breakfast. There should be more healthy bread choices like sourdough, rye bread, french loaves, french toasts etc. It would be good to have bolsters.

- Great location, just 2-3 minutes walk from Kyoto Station (East exit). - "Bus" is also in the area of Kyoto station. - Able to walk to Kyoto Tower and Yodobashi very easily. - Alcohol for hands cleaning provided in the bathroom. - "Eco Sign" for changing towels and clean up the trash box is a good idea. - Shower for bathing is really good which able to adjust the water into gentle mist. - Staff are friendly, also communicate in English very well. - The room for 3 people is spacious.

Checkin. It’s done through self service machines. It’s not user friendly, lots of errors due to various reasons. After a long trip it is so comforting if you’re welcomed by a friendly person, and you can relax and being taken care of by a person checking you in. It’s the first and most memorable impression of the hotel. I don’t want to “talk” or deal with the machine :( This was very upsetting to me.

Great location. It was right next to train station in Kyoto. I fell down the escalator at Shinkansen station in Tokyo and really hurt myself. They were very kind and looked after me. It was also right next door to great shopping. Very central to all you need, and not far from the city and great local markets. Breakfast buffet was sensational.

Great location - right next to Kyoto Station. Lots of restaurants and shopping centres in the area within walking distance. We had a slight issue where we booked a 3 bed room and had only 2 beds - spoke to reception and they fixed the issue straight away. I like the amenities bar in the lobby - great luggage service. Convenience store right outside lobby. Also walking distance to coin laundry services.
