The hotel is in a very convenient location, excellent if you've got a lot of luggage and don't want to have to walk far to the main station. The station is the main hub of public transportation and had many, many shops and restaurants so we appreciated being so close. The beds are comfortable and we really liked the downstairs lounge area. Lots of seating and some games. The staff was helpful with our questions.

They let us know when we checked in, but didn't like that they did not clean the bathroom daily, only once every three days. The air conditioner was noisy and we either had to have it chilly or off, we couldn't find a good temperature.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto - solo traveler or couple! I had a wonderful stay in a nice-sized room with a very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and good TV. It was quiet, and I felt very safe with the hotel and the area. It's so close to Kyoto station! I took a bus from Itami Osaka airport and arrived in the dark to the stop across from Kyoto station. The hotel was a short walking distance, and I felt completely safe. The staff was always so helpful, and the hotel had printed sightseeing handouts showing you exactly how to get to the major sights using public transportation. There was a microwave in a lounge area and an ice machine in the area where you can do laundry!

This hotel seemed to cover everything we needed; was very close to the Kyoto train station (about 4 mins walking), was spacious, very clean and affordable. It is located across the road from a Family Mart and about 3 mins walk to a 7Eleven. Although the rooms do have small tables, there is a cool “rumpus” style room on the ground level with kitchen style facilities and tables - so people like us who purchased take away food we had somewhere enjoyable to sit and eat, with fun games at hand. We only stayed two nights in between Hakuba and Osaka but we had a great stay…I did kick my toe on the weird makeshift bed one of the kids had (think it was a couch turned into a bed?!?), which broke my toe - was my fault so can’t complain…just watch your toes people!

I think this was a great property, the only suggestion I could make would be streaming services on the TV for customers to log into - we all sat crowded around an iPad to watch movies.

Great location, about 10 minutes away from the Kyoto train station. Clean and comfortable. They have a big lobby area where you can chill, work and have meals. There are Lawson and another convenience store down the road. There aren't too many restaurants on the road of the hotel but there are many good restaurants at Kyoto train station. Reception staff were very helpful.

There were some malicious emails which pretend to be PIC from Hotel The M's Kyoto have been sent through Booking.com that try to lead me to a website which intends to extract my credit card information. Though the real Hotel The M's Kyoto always reminds me that were malicious emails and fortunately I never respond to those emails, it would be better if Hotel The M's Kyoto coordinates with Booking.com to solve this problem thoroughly.

This hotel was quiet and comfortable. It was within walking distance (less than 10 minutes) from the Shinkansen station which we took to Tokyo. We saved on not paying for a taxi. The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. I enjoyed speaking with them about getting restaurant recommendations.

The laundry facility was not efficient. The washer/dryer units did not dry my clothes. Given that it was winter I had heavier cotton clothes which came out soggy from your unit. I think a separate washer and dryer would be best for your patrons. Thank you for reading this comment.

A very convenient location close to the station. The rooms are clean and the basic anemities are available The lobby is comfortable and spacious with many nice sitting corners. There's are many good restaurants and a shopping mall nearby.

We were expecting a youthful and energetic atmosphere in the lobby where we could have a chance to hang out and connect with other travellers. However the lobby was almost always empty, most people using it shortly and quietly. If the hotel would organise some events or themed nights it could encourage some socialising.

We chose this hotel because it was described as a business hotel. EVERYTHING was immaculate, new or both. The desk staff were all courteous, professional and either spoke English or were able to write English. The rainfall shower exceeded expectations because one of us is 6'6" tall. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner were all provided. Although not many amenities were "in the room" there were plenty of items available in the lobby for guests to use/take. Brushes, tooth brushes, small body wash cloths, air and fabric refresher, and more. Water was resupplied every day at no extra charge. There was a kettle, teabags, a hairdryer and a small refrigerator. A real refrigerator, not a pre-stocked-get-charged-for-taking it out minibar.

No luggage racks, no drawers. Staying for 8 nights meant the luggage did not fit under the bed, so we lived out of the suitcases. Positively: our request for extra hangers was fulfilled instantly.

Walking distance to Kyoto Station. The room was super quiet (we had one facing east) just zero annoying sounds whether from other rooms or outside. Very comfortable beds. Desk. They changed towels every day, gave water to the room, tea, you could take combs, hairbrush, razor, cotton buds and pads, toothbrush, toothpaste. There were shower gels, shampoos, hair conditioners, large bathroom, new, no mold and bad smells, quiet and efficient air conditioning. Downstairs there was a lobby space with couches, tables, desks, microwave, water dispenser.

There are two convenience stores down the road. There aren't too many restaurants on the road of the hotel but there are a few at the main train station. Reception staff were very helpful, the assisted with booking restaurants. There are laundry machines available at the hotel, this is a paid for service.

Location was amazing, a short 5 minute walk from Kyoto's main train station, and conveniently next to Lawson's/7-11's. The room was very spacious for what we paid and where we were located, with good amenities and facilities - we used the laundry room whilst we were there, quick and cheap. Could also leave luggage securely in the hotel for the day after we checked out.

Hotel staff immediately removing your laundry from the washer-dryer when you are 2 minutes late to collecting after the cycle has finished. This happened twice, and I had to go hunting for my laundry as apparently they can't wait for you to get out of the lift.
