convenient location to the metro and to airport

hard to find the first time. it is located the “Nankai Namba” station, NOT the “Namba” station.

After staying in Tokyo, this room was twice as big. The bed was a king-size, and they had excellent facilities and great staff. There was a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee (filter bags!).

Getting to the hotel was actually difficult via the train system and there was no easy (lift or escalator) way out at the hotel end, just stairs. So had to go back to and around to find the escalator. We took a taxi back to the main train station which actually very inexpensive.

Room The room itself was lovely and spacious, it had its own traditional area to drink tea & a walk in wardrobe which were a bonus for us! The beds were very comfortable and if you didn’t want to be disturbed you were left a bag of necessities for the room each time- brilliant idea! Location The location was excellent, plenty to eat, drink, see and do around the hotel. Breakfast Breakfast was good and had many options, we had the best omelettes yet here! I’m not sure how the chef does it but he’s very good! Staff Staff were friendly and always saying hello, breakfast staff were always helpful. Laundry Something that we love are the coin laundry machines, they’re life savers! The hotel has a couple to use on our basement floor.

The room was very nice, but because it was on basement level we didn’t get very much natural light at all, something we like to have. We would return but stay on a different floor next time.

This is the second stay at this hotel since we loved it so much the first time. We were not disappointed again. The location is the best as is the staff and overall facility. We did not go to the onsen nor did we have breakfast at the hotel. There are good choices close to the hotel for breakfast and for all your meals. The room was a good size and if possible get a room with a view of the Kamogawa River. I did appreciate that the toilet was a separate room from the sink and shower/tub room. The staff were helpful and friendly while securing a reservation for us.

The bathroom (shower and sink) was closed off by sliding solid wood doors which did not block out the sound very well. Be advised that my sister who was traveling with us booked a standard twin room which had a frosted window and no natural light or view.

The location was central, with many restaurants close, easy access to the river trail and close to public transportation. Rooms are really aesthetically pleasing with a little garden attached. The breakfast was delicious.

We arrived 45 min. before check-in, which I understand that is not exactly check-in time, however this was the first hotel I have ever stayed at, in any country around the world, that wouldn't check us in until the exact check-in time. I understand if the room wasn't ready due to housekeeping or any legitimate reason, but it wasn't clear that there was a reason except being slightly early. Traveling doesn't always follow a perfect schedule.

What a wonderful surprise. The view bath was amazing, looking out onto a lush private garden (like something from a dream). The rooms are very modern and beautifully appointed with thoughtful amenities including a tea set service in the sitting area. The beds were so comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud, with a nice variety of pillows. The breakfast buffet had an extensive variety of foods and it was fun to try some new dishes. The public bath is absolutely lovely, in a serene setting. It's a wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel staff are very attentive and kind. Bonus: This is a great location for anyone traveling to or from Osaka by train.

Most everything! The beds were comfortable, the shower and tub were great, the garden view out the wall of glass in the room was great, the laundry was a welcome surprise, the breakfasts were fabulous, the staff were always gracious and helpful, and the location was superb. We would definitely stay here again!

The toilet closet is at the front of the room, while the rest of the bathroom is at the opposite side of the room. Though there’s a small sink in the toilet closet, there was no soap there. It was no big deal, really, but the two of us had to pass by each other a lot going from one end of the room to the other for our morning and evening toiletries.

Beautiful large room in very convenient location. Close to restaurants, shopping and train stations for easy travel to sights.

Large windows in room which had been covered with an adhesive film so you could not see out. I finally found a way to open 1 window a couple of inches so we could see out if we wanted to check the weather in the morning etc. This gave the otherwise beautiful room a closed in feeling. Apparently not all the rooms are like this (maybe just on our side of the building) so check if you are claustrophobic.

Absolutely blown away by the Kyoto hotel experience – the epitome of luxury during our Japan trip! Our stay in the Garden View Suite was beyond spacious for two, and the bed provided unparalleled comfort. The shower and bathtub combo was a haven of relaxation, but the real highlight was the public bath, a hit with both my husband and son. They swear by its body-relaxing magic after a day of exploration. A personal favorite was the serene tea room, offering a perfect spot to unwind with a steaming cup of tea. The hotel's proximity to a river, where ducks gracefully swim, and a majestic tree still sporting autumn leaves added a touch of enchantment. Waking up to a rare view of distant mountains outside our window was a visual treat, especially for us coming from Singapore. In terms of accessibility, getting to the hotel from Kyoto station was a breeze. A short journey on the Karasuma line (3 stops with a switch at Karasuma Oike Station), followed by a transfer to the Tozai line, led us to our destination at Kyoto Shinyakusho-mae station. Note that the nearest exit lacks an escalator, so prepare for a brief stair climb. The breakfast buffet showcased a delightful array of Japanese and international dishes. What stood out was the efficient ordering system for omelettes or fried eggs, saving us precious time compared to the usual queue. For a change of pace, we explored Shinshindo - Sanjo Kawaramachi within walking distance, indulging in their delightful bread offerings. A culinary adventure and a stay that defined luxury in Kyoto! #KyotoLuxury #TravelGoals

The sofa's form has become distorted, suggesting it's due for a replacement. Additionally, while the room is spacious for two, there's an opportunity to optimize the layout to accommodate four people more effectively.

We booked Solaria Nishitetsu as our 1st hotel to have a happy start for the trip. Arriving late, in a rainy day, we were greeted warmly. Warm, happy, courteous, friendly manners. A good start indeed. Clean, spacious room. The powder room at the onsen was awesome. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. They help us filled up the formed, all arrangement to forward our luggage to the next destination. But best of all, location! Great Location! Few steps from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae subway station. About 10minute walk to Sanjo Keihan subway Station, Gion and Pontocho. Take a left turn from the lobby door, cross the Sanjo Bridge and we were on our way visiting temples in the area, Shoren-in, Chion-in, Kodai-ji Temple, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka. For Kiyomizudera we visited on our last day taking taxi there, the uphill road to reach the temple made us grateful we did. Walked down from lobby, across the small canal, across the traffic to the main street, and we arrived right smack in the shopping area of Kyoto, Kawaramachi dori. Had a good shopping done. Went back by the alley way between Kawaramachi Sta. and Shinjo Bridge, we came across small lane lined with traditional buildings for clubs and restaurants with lanterns at the door. Pontocho! Instead of directly turn left to pontocho, walk down across Shinjo bridge, and there, the majestic night view of Minamiza Theater. We went back in the morning for Shin-kyogoku and Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping arcade, and Nishiki food Market since they were closed in the evening. With subway just few steps away, it was very convenient to visit other places of interest too!
