Everything was perfect until the SAME MAN that 3 years ago,was horrible about some silly towels,( look at my early review from 2019) did it again. He told me that I could check out at any time the day before,I found it strange but he said that so I told him 3 oclock,he said it was fine.I left hotel an to make sure I came back and told him 3 in the afternoon, and even signalled with my hands. He said yes ok.Then the day after he charge me for late depart. That man is not a nice person ant all.Shame because I love the hotel.

The Staff was amazing. They were helpful and provided useful guidance, sometimes even going the extra mile to help out. The room was small but very clean and cozy. I had all I needed and perhaps even more, given the wide selection of free toiletries and amenities (like tea, coffee, city map, etc.) As the hotel has been recently renovated with a nice rationalist, functional, and contemporary outlook, it has a welcoming, nice, and pleasant atmosphere. It is close to Umeda, a central and vital part of Osaka. Excellent value for money.

Hotel is near entrances to the train station. Reception area is nice and the staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. A fridge and kettle were provided. Toiletries available from stand in reception. Availability of washing machine and dryer was great. Vending machine and microwave were also useful. Great location and walking distance for food and shopping. Family Mart, Life Store/Supermarket, Muji, Round 1 gaming centre, Loft and Don Quijote stores (tax free shopping), KFC, Ramen and many other small eating establishments close to hotel. Hotel organised for a fee to transfer our suitcases through to our next accommodation in Tokyo so we didn't have to take them on the Shinkansen (Bullet train). Overall a pleasant 1 week stay in a nice hotel, convenient location for all our needs.

Centrally located in close proximity to the shopping area of Osaka and Osaka Station but on a quiet street that is easily accessible. The rooms were adequate, a bit small for twin beds, but expected for the great price we paid. The staff at check-in (around 11 p.m.) were very friendly and efficient. The entire process took a few minutes. The entrance was neat and clean, well lit with a comfortable waiting area. Inside the rooms were well lit, sparsely furnished but enough for our needs. The bathroom featured a Japanese toilet and spacious shower with wall dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner, along with toothbrushes and clean towels. The beds were comfortable enough to sleep on. The room's air conditioning was cool but not cold. At breakfast, the offerings were simple but tasty. The fare included Western, Asian, and Japanese-style foods. This included two choices of cereal, eggs, bacon, sausages, salad, rice, stews, fruit, vegetables, and salad, plus yogurt. Being seated beside the window afforded views of the street allowing us to watch the Osaka residents start their day. As we only stayed for one night, we had to check out by 10 a.m., which meant leaving our luggage with reception. This was a painless process that was equally easy when leaving for the train station later that day.
There was nothing really to not like. Everything about the stay was just fine. If anything, Osaka in August is very hot, but the hotel has nothing to do with that.

I liked how quiet our room was even though I was in the city! The price I paid for a twin room, with private bathroom, good air conditioning, coffee with tea kettle could not be beat in Osaka. It was a bit of a walk from the Osaka Umeda station but doable for our group of 4. If I am on a budget, this is the place to stay. We did not get the breakfast as there are places to eat close by.
For the price, I can’t complain but if you are looking for something more upscale, this is not the place. There is some wear and tear in the carpet and walls of the room.

The property was conveniently located to restaurants, shops and rail services. Although 'bijou' the room was warm and clean with a window to let in 'real' air. Regularly cleaned and great matcha available from reception!
Well, for the price it was fantastic. It was a bit of a stroll to get to the underground. But, if you love Osaka then it's no big deal. Although we didn't select breakfast as an option, it would have been nice to try it once and it wasn't clear how we might have done that.

Ibis Budget Hotel is centrally located in Umeda with quirky, hipster Nakazakicho on its doorstep. (Nakazakicho train station is also 100m away by foot and Osaka station just a short walk away). I found my room very clean however, quite small - barely enough room to open my suitcase. Having travelled to Japan often, I find this is not uncommon. I travelled by car and although the staff informed me that there was an allocated car space (at an extra cost of $1000 yen per day), the space has height and length restrictions. There are also daily time restrictions associated with the parking. Upon arrival I was shown a map of how to get to the car park, but the directions were incorrect and after circling for a while I found myself just parking in a public car park a street away. It was closer than the allocated park anyway. Staff were friendly upon check in/check out but speak very little English. I noticed that the couple who checked in directly after me were shown amenities that I wasn’t shown by the same staff member! Everything else was good - the area is busy but not too noisy that I couldn’t sleep.
The car parking situation as mentioned above.

Location of the hotel was central to several of the attractions which could be reached by foot. The staff was great and helpful. Rooms were small as per Japan standards. Bed was comfortable and rooms were neat.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Being a vegetarian, I got only a couple of options to eat for breakfast. They could add some more vegan/ vegetarian options in their buffet.
