The female dorm was huge but quiet and comfortable. The toilets and shower rooms were always clean and the lockers are big enough to fit a hard suitcase and a 30L backpack comfortably. The location is awesome with many small quaint eateries around. And there are 3 subway stations nearby which makes traveling easy

The pillow and bed aren’t the most comfortable but it was alright. The price is quite steep for a hostel especially in a room that can possible house 27 girls with only 2 shower rooms. But it wasn’t fully booked when I was there so it was mostly fine.

It was in such a perfect location! Close enough to shibuya to be easily accessible, but far enough away to be removed from some of the chaos. There is a train station and metro less than 5 minutes walk away. I was staying in the female only floor, and it was clean and everyone had a good amount of space. Easy to lock away your bags as well. There are quiet hours that everyone respected. The staff were so welcoming and lovely and made my first Christmas Eve away from my family so much easier. The cafe downstairs is great and they have everything you need (including facilities to heat up your own food). There’s amenities to rent and phone adapters to borrow.

The cleanliness, the cozy capsules and the amazing food at the cafe downstairs. These three are certainly a given. With 40 capsules and 4 toilets and two bathrooms, it was amazingly clean! And the food is prepared fresh and delicious. A great working space. The service is also commendable, after some convincing, they let us keep our luggage an extra day for a small fee. The girls were really helpful when we had to transfer hotel, they translated for us. Sorry for all the inconvenience and thank you for helping us!

The pricing was perhaps slightly high. Andthe cleaning, I shouldn't complain about it, but it's too rigorous I guess. I mean everyday from 10/11am-2pm they do cleaning and it MAY seem annoying. But that's when most people are out/travelling, so maybe plan better and book a hotel for some quiet :) (a lesson for me)

I was in the mixed gender room and the atmosphere was a lot calmer and more pleasent than expected. No issues with shower time or sleeping. It was cozy and warm enough, and we could open the windows easily to get fresh air. The bed capsules were spacious and equipped with warm dim lighting. Location was perfect and the almond café/lounge was the perfect place to study and hang out. Since other customers are welcome too, it can happen that it's full and you have to wait for a seat, but the curry and the coffee were delicious. The staff was really friendly and helpful!

Even though the almond hostel has a great storage system, it gets crammed easily if you open a larger suitcase. So maybe get a hostel with private rooms if you have tons of luggage. Also, if you have a padlock, bring it! As well as slippers. It was clean in general, but the staff might want to check the showers - there were a few dark spots on the ceiling and the walls that looked a bit moldy.

The area is super cute and you can easily reach all the main tourist spots. I usually stay here when I’m in Tokyo, so i can definitely recommend it. The atmosphere in the café downstairs is also very nice and there’s even really delicious vegetarian options if you’re searching for food. The capsule itself is quite spacious and there’s a locker underneath the bed to fit large luggage.

There’s really many beds and it’s usually quite full, so it can get a bit dirty, depending on your roommates. The facilities have aged a bit since the first time i went there. It’s also quite expensive for a hostel, though the prices vary depending on the weekday and season, i suppose. You can definitely get a whole room for the same price if you search just a bit further outside the city center.

Cheap, comfortable bed pods with reasonable privacy. Short walk to Shibuya and Harajuku, as well as Yoyogi Park and the Meiji-Jingu Shrine. Good coffee and breakfast options, though the breakfasts are a little on the sweet side if you want variety.

There isn't much in the way of on-site spaces for a private work period or phone call if you need one, so you may have to go off-site to find an internet cafe or similar if you need privacy. Otherwise, it's a great, affordable stay.

Everything is clean, the cafe down the hostel is pretty cool (food is good!), the staff was nice, wash-machine + dryer in the dormitory 👍🏻 - the location is great! 20 minutes by walk from Shibuya crossing, the streets near the hostel are cute ++ amazing restaurant right in front of the hostel with cheap meals and a super nice owner! :)

The mattress is not very comfortable and I found the ladder quite dangerous to climb. Some of the guests were really noisy after 11pm and searching loudly through their luggages for 15 minutes or talking and laughing loudly at 7 in the morning so you might consider to bring earplugs! but that’s not the establishment fault tho

Dinner options at the cafe are amazing, ambience suits modern cafe and building was pleasing. Staff was nice and great. E scooter are available for rent, I believe and close to train station stops, lots of convenient stores plus cafe has great food selection and options.

Bed was comfy enough but tends to get hot as no air circulating in bunk beds, suggest to get a small fan to help with heat. There's a separate small table area if you'd like to have some snack/meal but that doesn't really count as something bad.

Great little hostel in a really cool location. Easy 20 min walk to central Shibuya past lots of cool independent stores, restaurants and bars. Very close to Yoyogi park and a set of little local shops with everything you need. The onsite cafe was also great and open extensive hours. The hostel pods were simple and clean, the shared facilities were good including laundry, hair dryers and access to the cafe as a lounge. While I was there everyone was very considerate of the suggested quiet hours so I was able to sleep well without disruption. Would stay here again.

Access is via stairs so can be hard to take up heavy luggage. Staff were very helpful though.

Stayed here as a bit of a 'Tokyo' experience with the capsule type sleeping arrangement. Cool vibes with the cafe downstairs, open late and good to meet other people staying at Almond. Pretty clean, smooth check-in and value for money. Location is a little away from JR lines, so worth getting a day ticket on the local line if you don't wan't to walk 20 mins to Shibuya station (I didn't mind the walk each day/night!)

As per description, decent. I was right next to the bathrooms so probably a bit more noise than if you were at a further away pod.
