The location was amazing with only a short walking distance to the nearby station connected to the Yamanote Line which allows easy access to other locations such as Akihabara, Tokyo, Shibuya. Clean and comfortable with more than enough space for 2 people.

Nothing, all features were enjoyable.

We had a connecting room for our family and this was very handy. The beds while on the ground were comfy, we just had to request an extra couple of pillows as they only supply 1 per person. The bedrooms while small (but Toyko standard size) were practical and comfortable. The train station was nice and close and made it easy to get around, and having options of convenience stores and restaurants close by was a bonus.

While the location was nice and close to the train station, the hotel is on a main road and we found on our first night that we could hear a lot of sirens, most likely ambulances, going past (this was on the 1st Jan, so may have been a busy night). By the 2nd night we were more accustomed to the noise, but if you are a light sleeper, this would be a bit annoying. Also, the breakfast we had included in our stay wasn't wonderful for the cost, the scrambled eggs & sausages were often cool as they were not kept warm effectively. It could have been much more enjoyable if the hot food was hot. The fruit & salads were nice though.

We spent 9 days at the hotel after staying 8 days in Tamachi. The cost was a little more but we desperately needed the room space for suitcases. It is so rare to find hotels in Tokyo with floorspace so we were so chuffed to have moved hotels. The roof terrace is also a really great bonus! The beds are traditional floor style so not the most comfy but we got used to it. The JR lines are only a 2 minute walk away which was so so so amazing! The metro was also nearby but we ended up using the JR 90% of the time or walking 20 minutes to Ueno to get the Shinkansen.

I ordered a oat milk coffee on the first morning and was served a cup that was 90% milk and it seemed like it had no coffee in it which was so odd - completely undrinkable! I wasn't too bothered as there is a great coffee shop 5 mins walk away, and I felt I probably confused the lady when ordering.

The hotel has good decor, is clean and relatively quiet. I thought the room (queen) was a good value and size for the price paid, especially considering Tokyo standards. The view of Tokyo Skytree was also nice. The staff was professional and pleasant. I like that there is laundry on-site, which was convenient and easy to use. I was a bit concerned about the fact that the hotel is in a known "love district" but as a solo traveler, the area always felt safe and it was quiet.

The location is far from most major attractions. Please plan accordingly - if most of the attractions or restaurants you want to visit are in Shibuya or Shinjuku, it might be worth it to stay within those areas. I also was not a big fan of the breakfast included.

Family of 4 here, 2 adults, 2 children (9 & 4 yrs). Had to book their connecting rooms. The beds can fit 2 of us, actually. The rooms are relatively small. Towels are changed every day. The staff are generally able to speak English. The hotel is right next to a temple, I guess, that houses their columbarium (which can be seen from the balcony on level 2). We were shocked when we first discovered it, but it doesn’t bother us at all. The nearest train station is Uguisudani, which is really nearby, and you just need to walk straight, no turns. Another station is Iriya, also walk straight with no turns, but it’s a bit further away, about a 10-minute walk. There’s a nearby convenience store and drugstore. For Muslims, there is a nearby (about 10 minutes walk) Uzbekistan restaurant that sells Japanese food and fries (perfect for small kids!). There is a microwave and a washing machine + dryer on level 2. They provide an iron upon request (it was already placed in our room as we requested it before we checked in). Overall, the hotel looks like it does in the pictures and we like how close it is to the train station. Upon exiting Uguisudani station, cross the road and turn left. You will find a lift up ahead.

Pricey. Rooms don’t feel clean even though we had room service every day. The linen feels rough and dusty.

Ueno is a tranquil and pleasant neighbourhood that is well-connected to the rest of Tokyo. The hotel is conveniently located near the Yamamote Line, making it easy to reach various neighbourhoods from the airport or to take a train for day trips. The hotel's location is also great for exploring the immediate area on foot. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and opted for the Japanese version, which included rice. While the rooms are small, as is typical in Tokyo, everything is functional and well-designed, accommodating our large and medium suitcases without any issues. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the attentive service stood out, especially the special touch of the scent on our clothes. Don't forget to check out the terrace; it offers a beautiful view, and when we visited, we had it all to ourselves, possibly due to the winter season.

We had a connecting rooms for a family of 4, so the space was quite good, especially for Tokyo. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. It is located 30-40mins outside of Shibuya, but the hotel is very close to the metro station, so was easy to get to. Transit was easy from the airport too.

It was probably a little far. We arrived at night and found it tricky to find somewhere to eat. We ended up having to walk a distance - but was able to find a great sushi bar.

Boutique style hotel with a lovely foyer sitting area, and another chill out area upstairs with vending machine, washing machines and dryers. Decor was modern & the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Even helped with tourist info and booking transport for us. All spoke English which was really helpful. Outstanding view from the little rooftop area of Tokyo skytree. Convenient short walks to two subway stations, and 15 min walk to Ueno station. Lovely to come back to peace & quiet after the craziness of Shibuya and Shinjuku!

The rooms and bathrooms are a little on the small side..we had a compact twin..but to be expected in Tokyo really. Our aircon was older model and very noisey though, despite our attempts using Google translate to try and work out the remote to find a quieter mode! To be honest, we were so tired after sightseeing in the heat it didn't keep us awake though...

Loved the special Christmas activities the staff organised (gingerbread cookie decoration, movie screening). Homey and nice touch. The room was small but clean. Bed was very comfortable!

Given the small space, some design elements could be improved on to maximise the space e.g. shelving on the walls for more space for traveler's to place their items. The design of the toilet could be improved - the sink was so large and positioned halfway into the shower area, so it's hard to use while someone else is showering. But still manageable for a short stay.

We have tried some other hotels before in Japan, and this was the best one so far. 1. Location is exceptional, it’s just 5 min walking from station Uguisudani. 2. The rooms are very bright and cosy, also relatively bigger than when we saw so far in Tokyo. The mattresses are very comfortable. 3. The hotel is very compact and not too big, the laundry rooms are on the first floor, pretty easy to use 4. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice and tasty 5. We really enjoyed our evenings at the roof top terrace, the only sad things there are not so many places to sit upstairs.
