Boutique style hotel with a lovely foyer sitting area, and another chill out area upstairs with vending machine, washing machines and dryers. Decor was modern & the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Even helped with tourist info and booking transport for us. All spoke English which was really helpful. Outstanding view from the little rooftop area of Tokyo skytree. Convenient short walks to two subway stations, and 15 min walk to Ueno station. Lovely to come back to peace & quiet after the craziness of Shibuya and Shinjuku!

The rooms and bathrooms are a little on the small side..we had a compact twin..but to be expected in Tokyo really. Our aircon was older model and very noisey though, despite our attempts using Google translate to try and work out the remote to find a quieter mode! To be honest, we were so tired after sightseeing in the heat it didn't keep us awake though...

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room is clean and they offered to clean the room every morning. The mattress which is on the floor was very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine and drier and has a small restaurant /cafe. There are many food shops and restaurants in the area. It is a short walk to the train station.

The room was a bit small for 2 of us due to the fact we had a lot of luggage. There was not much storage space so we had to juggle things around which was time consuming. BUT we got used to it.

Practical and nice hotel near the Uguisudani JR train station in Tokyo. Perfect hotel for a couple of nights in the city. Staying in a relatively quiet area after all the hustle and bustle in Tokyo is nice. The room is small but very comfortable and clean. The lunch in the restaurant was tasty as well.

The only hotel without onsen we stayed in japan, so that was maybe a small disappointment. It would have been relaxing after a busy Tokyo day. On the other hand, Tokyo has so much to offer that you don’t really have time for the onsen… On the checkout day the hotel had their maintenance day, so we couldn’t leave our baggage. That was a bit unpractical for our final day in Japan. It would have been kind to become a small refund of present for that inconvenience…

I highly recommend this hotel for any solo traveller. The compact room was perfect for 1 person with up to 2 medium luggage. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Various drinks are available at the vending machine. I was able to do laundry which only took 1.5 hours total washing and drying. Detergent was available for purchase at the reception. I enjoyed having my coffee or tea lattes at their cafe every morning before heading out. Uguisudani station and Iriya station were both very accessible. I would love to stay here again next time.

My only concern was the curtains. I would appreciate blackout curtains to keep the sun out early.

The location was outstanding easy access to a train station and quiet enough that you can sleep and not feel overwhelmed by the endless crowds in other tokyo areas. Staff were friendly and the coffee was good. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The price was excellent. All in all would stay here again.

The room was small and there was very little room for luggage. The bathroom was tiny. Breakfast options were fairly limited and quite pricey for what was on offer still if you want a western kind of breakfast and the convenience of eating at the hotel go for it. Sometimes it is tricky getting the lifts especially in the morning when people are wanting to check out all at once. A bit of patience is needed.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Ueno area, with close proximity to the train station and multiple bus stops. It offers excellent connectivity to Ginza and the Sky Tree area. However, the room, especially the toilet, is on the smaller side. The limited space makes it a bit challenging to wash hands comfortably. Despite this, the room is cozy and comfortable, providing a great view of the Sky Tree. The breakfast is well-organized, offering a fixed main meal option (rice or toast). Guests can customize their meal with three condiments of their choice and one sauce. Additionally, there's a choice of one juice and one hot drink.

The bathroom is very small.

We really liked the breakfast but did get a bit boring after having it for 5 days. The location was great and conveniently located next to a train station. The room was cute. Bathroom a bit more small but that’s normal for Japan I suppose.. Overall a great stay. The lobby was nice to wind down in the evenings and then you had the rooftop as well.

However the corridor did smell quite nasty at times but that wasn’t the case for the room

Fantastic location very close to a JR station and lots of convenience stores and little restaurants. From the hotel you can take a nice stroll through Ueno park to reach Ueno station. The hotel was very easy to find using the instructions on their website and check-in was an easy process. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy and, although small like most hotels in Japan, it was spacious enough for two people with two big suitcases (I was expecting much smaller based on other reviews). Amenities were provided almost to a fault- there were days when we said we didn't need our room cleaned and returned to find a bag of fresh towels and toiletries in the evening. We didn't use the restaurant downstairs but it were always people making use of it. Bathroom was a little cramped but it had everything required, and the shower was great! Very happy with this hotel and would happily stay here again.

It was a bit awkward receiving lots of new towels and toiletries when we didn't need them, it seemed a bit wasteful. The beds are quite low down which we liked but this may be a problem for people with mobility problems.

The hotel has a nice vibe about it. The staff are very professional and the rooms are clean and mattress comfortable. Location was very good for us. There is a laundry room and restaurant and lots of places to eat in the area.

The rooms and bathroom were on the smalll size. This was a little difficult for us as we travel with lots of luggage and it was difficult to find space to put the luggage, clothes and toiletries. For those who travel light the rooms would be an OK size.

We loved the hotel! It is small but confortable and modern. Everything was clean and personal super friendly. The breakfast is yummy and can adapt to either japanese or western tastes. Location is great if yoy want to be near the most adult and traditional side of the city (it is just q couple of blocks away from the JR station). We had an amazing time.

We dont have anything bad to say about the hotel. The only inconvenience we had was at paying for the reservation. We chosw paying at the hotel and they tried 3 of our credit cards but none of them worked so we had to pay cash (yens because they do not accept usd). The cards worked just fine in other places.
