We are a retired couple who stayed at this hotel for a week. Room size, facilities and location were all paramount in us choosing the Emperor, as opposed to other typically cramped Tokyo hotels we have stayed in before. We paid up front and were free to come and go whenever we wished. This presumably eliminates the issue some visitors have mentioned about being locked in their rooms. It is all very discrete, as one would expect. On returning to the hotel at night, you pick up the telephone at reception, tell them your room number and your door is automatically opened. It was all very easy. We paid a small extra charge for a non smoking room at the time of booking; the whole 6th floor appears to be non smoking. The room came with a sauna and a jacuzzi bath, neither of which we used. The shower was excellent and the location was perfect; a quiet neighborhood by the river, less than a ten minute walk from Meguro station, where you can access the all important JR Yamanote line. There is a wonderful revolving sushi restaurant behind a supermarket near the station and even a fleeting view of Mount Fuji when returning to the hotel via the steeper route. Note that you don’t have to use the steep road to the station if you have luggage, as there is a more user friendly way. It was a very interesting experience and we would certainly return !
The sofa needs cleaning/ replacing and we had to turn the mattress to make it more comfortable. Otherwise, the room was clean and remarkably well appointed. Wi FI does not require a password and was adequate. We just about learned the correct technique for turning off the room light console. One of life’s little challenges.

Huge room, very comfortable bed, tons and tons of amenities that were refreshed daily, great value compared to business hotels. Besides the adult channels on the TV, it’s not at all what you might think when you think “love hotel” — very elegant and clean, attentive and discreet staff. Tip for foreigners who don’t speak Japanese: at check-in time, you go in, there won’t be anyone there in the lobby, pick up the phone and say “Booking.com”, they’ll tell you which room is yours, go there and the door will be unlocked, and then you’re in! From then on, you don’t get a key but you just do the same thing everything you come back. It’s really easy and worth it!
It was a little inconvenient to only be able to check in from 9-11pm — but you can leave your luggage at a locker in Meguro Station until then, and once you’re checked in you can come and go freely for multiple nights which is rare for a love hotel! The only detail is you have to be out of the room from 7-8pm because that’s when their system switches over, but that wasn’t difficult for us at all, we were already out and about eating dinner at that time anyways.

The room is big, toilet is in separate room and shower (shower with jacuzzi bath) is in separate room also. There are 3 taps with sinks: (1) to wash hands after toilet, (2) for cosmetics and (3) in the mini-kitchen. There is also sauna in another separate room.
No wardrobe. The staff is hiding in the closed room. It is "love hotel", but we are just foreign tourists and if I wanted to ask a question - it was difficult to get them. When I tried to ask (by google translate) - they know nothing about trains, local flights or any info for tourists. There is no touristic help. I think these are the rules of "love hotels".

The location was fantastic, and the bonus was the Cherry Blossoms right outside our door, so fantastic. The reception also gave us 2 umbrellas when leaving because it was raining and we didn't have one.
The room smelt of cigarette smoke, which wasn't nice at all, and you had to notify reception when you wanted to get back into your room as no keys were supplied. The 9pm check-in was definitely not good, but that was my fault as I didn't read the details fully, but I do think they could let you check in earlier as we didn't see one other person the whole time we were there.

The staff was professional, and definitely as love hotel, they give you privacy. Room was spacious and good. Also theres a sauna in the room. like that's a bonus if you enjoy good sauna before a bubble bath :> for first time experiencing love hotel, I enjoyed the stay and how comfortable the bed and pillows were! also amount of light adjustments you could do... :)) If you don't know what love hotel is about, def check YouTube vids out and to know what you are expecting... or you will be disappointed
The hair styler didn't work :( (I let the receptionist know) also it is down hill/up hill so I recommend to only visit if you don't have lot of luggage (mine was sent to my next destination using Takkyubin)

The staff are helpful, but they don't speak English so it's better if you can speak a bit of Japanese. The room is spacious with a lot of facilities like a jacuzzi and sauna, they also provide a lot of amenities like skin care, facial mask sheet, etc. Although the furniture looks old, they're pretty clean. I have to emphasize that the bed is really comfy! I always had a good night's sleep while staying. They don't give out the key for your room, but once you leave and come back later, all you need to do is call the front desk with the telephone at the lobby and say your room number, they will unlock it for you, it's pretty simple.
I wish there was a washing machine, either in the room or shared

The room is spacious, bed is comfortable. Nice to have a private little sauna and jacuzzi. Lots of toiletries. As someone else mentioned you can store your luggage at Meguro station and walk around and have your dinner till 9pm when is check-in time. This is not ideal but the location and price makes it worth the trouble. Hotel is situated beside the Meguro river, about 10 minutes walk from Meguro station which is well connected to other parts of Tokyo. Another weird thing is that there's no key, you have to pick up the phone from the lobby to call reception and they unlock your door. Staff speaks no English but they have a little translation device so no problem. As long as you know what to expect, everything is ok.
The smell of cigarets. Unfortunately non-smocking room wasn't available when i booked. But we left the window open all day and it was better the next night.

Charming and comfortable 'love hotel', you feel like you are transported to a swinging time in the late 70s! The bedroom and bed especially, was comfortable. You have a private sauna and spa bath. Turning up.is discreet and surreal, you feel like you are in a David Lynch movie as they ring you when you enter, rather than greet you in person! I guess it is to keep things private and 'secret'
It's bizarre that they lock you in your room, and you need to dial room service to get out! They are skimpy.on towels and a pair of dressing gowns would.have been nice. The Japanese porn on the tv is disturbed and a karaoke feature would.have been more fun. Everything is in Japanese, careful when using adult materials as everything is in japanese and you might get charged for something you dont need!

Full gauntlet of amenities and facilities available, very clean and comfortable. The hotel looks like the photos and YouTube video. My hair loved this place, from the high pressure shower head to the Japanese shampoo and conditioner, as well as the hair dryer and styling tool with disinfected attachments.
Just know that if you are planning to use the JR line from Meguro station, there is an elevation difference so beware if you have big luggage

Very clean, nice, comfy bed, the room also have jacuzzi and sauna in the room
You don’t have keys and you need to get permission to go in every time which looks a bit dodgy. Everybody can say that they are in this room and The the sofa was disgusting. I couldn’t sit on it.
