I was a little nervous about staying in Gotanda on my first trip to Tokyo because of not being one of the recommended neighbourhoods to stay in but it was a great decision. Gotanda is a quieter neighbourhood but there are still plenty of shops like Don Quixote and Uniqlo, restaurants, and importantly the Gotanda Metro station. The subway station is super close to the hotel and is on the main Yamanote circle line that goes to all the major tourist destinations. I loved the location because it wasn't packed with people so it was easier to get around than someplace like Shibuya. The hotel itself was really nice. I didn't make use of the spa facilities but they were there. The room I was in had plenty of space for opening up large suitcases. Nice sized bathroom and liked that there were hooks on the walls and a small closet at the entryway. Also really appreciated the table and chairs in the room. I would definitely stay here again as I was really happy with my experience here. Staff was really helpful with ordering a taxi for me and helping with luggage at the end of my stay.

Room are decent size fit us well for 3ppl with 2 large luggage n 1 mid size luggage.Starbuck just around the corner..Close to station.Its 2 station away to Shibuya & An hour away from narita international airport overall great stay

I like how our room is very clean although not very spacious. The cleaning staff is superb but customer service representatives at front desk is mixed review. Some were exceptional and helpful but some were very rude.

I didn’t know how the reception was on the 15th floor. With only three tiny elevators it takes a long time for guests to get to reception and then down to street level.

Clean, very spacious for being in central Tokyo. The roof top lounge area was a very nice surprise, being able to sit there and relax after a long busy day in the city was truly amazing. Furthermore, the public bath was very pleasant and interesting to experience the Japanese tradition.

A bit unnecessary stress at breakfast from the staff. We are aware that it is important that guests go when the breakfast buffet closes but we literally got kicked out at 10.00 and could barely finish our coffee.

It takes only 30 minutes to Haneda Airport and is easily accessible to all major attractions. 2. **Clean and Well-Equipped Rooms:** Although the rooms are small, they are fully equipped with everything you need, and the cleanliness is top-notch. 3. **Convenient Amenities:** The lobby offers complimentary coffee, and there’s an ice machine on every floor, which adds to the overall convenience of the stay. 4. **Great Food Options Nearby:** There are numerous delicious dining options in the surrounding area, making it easy to find good meals without going far.

1. **Limited Bottled Water:** Each room only receives two small bottles of water per day, which is insufficient. 2. **Laundry Facilities:** The hotel has too few washing machines, and the dryer function is often broken, leading to long wait times. 3. **Unhelpful Staff:** The service staff seemed indifferent and lacked proficiency in English. They did not provide an introduction to the hotel’s facilities and were unable to effectively resolve guest issues.

I asked for a room with a good view and I got an amazing view. The breakfast was great. The hotel room was clean and organized. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel was very calm and also very close to Gotanda station. All in all, it was a wonderful experience staying there.

Maybe there could be more variety in the hotel breakfast.

The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transportation, making it simple to explore nearby Shibuya and Shinjuku. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance, which made grabbing a bite to eat or picking up essentials very convenient. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights of our stay was the onsen, which was both relaxing and beautifully maintained.

However, there were a couple of downsides. The toilet in our room flushed very loudly and took a long time to complete its cycle, which was a bit disruptive. Additionally, during one visit to the female onsen, there was a young boy, around 8-10 years old, accompanied by his mother, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Despite these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return to here in the future. It offers a great balance of convenience, comfort, and hospitality, making it an excellent choice for travelers visiting the area.

The location was convenient, gotanda station was nearby and there were 3 convenience stores nearby as well. Many yummy food shops surrounding the hotel and if you walk behind the hotel, there is a beautiful view with the train station at the back. The hotel lobby was also uniquely located at the 15 floor which i thought was quite cool and the staff were really really kind and helpful! Made my stay much more memorable!

The onsen was big but i wished that it was hotter. And I felt like the hotel was a bit pricey but i understand that maybe it's because of the location.

This hotel is quite and pleasant in a good location in Tokyo. Maybe not as bubbly or trendy like in other areas but quite, clean and very convenient. The rooms are small but adequate for a couple, equipped with everything you need. We had a room on a high floor with a city view (there was a noise from the trains passing by but nothing that kept you up at night). You have plenty of restaurants and convenient stores around you. I would definitely return her when I am in Japan next

It is not necessarily that i disliked but the reception is on the 15 floor rather than on the first floor. I just found it a bit strange but not a deal breaker for me.

SPA was always crowded at 11pm as it closes at late midnight until relatively late next morning. Lockers and changing area is extremely small so getting change there was very uncomfortable experience. There was someone brought their cell phone in the bathtub. And i noticed some people didn't wash before going into the bath. Some groups were talking very loudly. There was lots of rubbish like used cotton balls, small plastic wrappers were on the floor, one sink was blocked with full water....... I always choose Mitsui Garden Hotel because of the onsen, but this one was not up to their standard.
