The convenient location with many amenities within reach. One of the few hotels with a washing machine in the room.

This is my 3rd stay with the hotel having previously enjoyed my stays and service rendered. However, this time I realise the limited housekeeping service was a disappointing. My booking was for 3 pax and almost everyday, only 2 pajamas were provided. On one of the days, the limited house keeping service was not carried out as per requested - towels and pajamas were in the bag hanging at the door together with the limited housekeeping tag. Despite this downside, it was still a comfortable and safe stay in this hotel.

Staff were very nice and helpful right at the time we checked in. Each room we stayed, there is a washing/drying machine so it was a nice thing to have for guess that staying more than a week. Room was clean but a little to small even if you have 2 adults and 1 children staying in 1 room (and especially if you have big luggages). Nice coffee machine on the entrance so you can always make a coffee-on-the go just before you leave the hotel. Not so much options for the included breakfast (I think only 6 or 8 options) because it's not a buffet and if you stay more than 4 days you'll get bored with the menu. We really like the location, very close to Gotanda Station where most of the JR Line train stops in Tokyo. Seven Eleven and Lawson just around the corner and Don Quijote straight behind our hotel (can find lots of things here). We only find one Halal restaurant here if you are a moslem traveler called Grill Hunter which served Hamburg steak located very close to the train station.

The included breakfast menu could be more attractive especially if you stay more than 4 days

It was wonderful to be so near GOTANDA JR station which is on the convenient Yamanote line in Tokyo and it was also great to have a washer drier in the room to do laundry while on the trip. Free coffee in the lobby was nice and the low energy use refrigerator worked well. Great to see plastic-free amenities in the lobby and none in the room besides a toothbrush in a paper case.

The towels didn't smell good - a bit musty? It would also be nice to have a washcloth as well as facetowel and body towel. The 2F breakfast connection to the diner Jonathans was pretty gross filled with sleeping people and it smelled horrible and there were no vegan/vegetarian options. It would be nice to have environmentally friendly detergent and more environmentally friendly shampoo and body soap as well. Even non-white towels that are not bleached would be nicer.

Location: 3-4 mins walk from JR Gotanda Station ( 15 mins ride of Yamanote line to Shinjuku) and Right in front of Asakusa line A6 stair exit ( just 1 transfer at Sengakuji st. to Narita airport). If you need to use elevator, you can use A4 elevator exit near JR Gotanda st. 7-11 is beside the hotel (one of the reason our actual Tokyo expense were underbudget). Donki is behind the hotel. For fellow muslim who needs to do Friday prayer: Islamic Culture Exchange Center Higashigotanda is 300mtrs or 5mins away. Khutba is in Japanese according to my son. In-Room Washing machine: This really saves my time. I put my laundry and turn the machine on right before bed. Sure the machine is noisy. But we were always super tired of walking everywhere. So we always had good night sleep. If you want your clothes to be really dry, make sure the washing+rinsing+spinning+drying lights are on and only use half the capacity. Otherwise, it will still damp and you need to run the drier again/sun dry the clothes near the window (hotel nightwear + this washing machine really help us packing light). And the use of detergent+machine is free btw. Room size (Residential Double) is decent for a Tokyo hotel (2 adults+1 toddler). It is definitely larger than the same hotel in Shinjuku.

Just like many hotels in Tokyo nowadays, they only clean up the garbage and change the nightwear daily. You need to pay more for full cleaning service. but it is OK for us.

Love having the washer dryer combo in the room. My room refrigerator had a nice freezer, about 5 or 6 in tall, separate compartment from the fridge, so it was great to keep ice and ice cream, but not all rooms have a freezer. Kitchenette with utensils for two, and a burner/stove in case you want to cook. The microwave in the room to re-heat coffee is my favorite thing. Coffee in the lobby, yes! Staff didn't speak much English, and i don't speak much Japanese, but they are always ready to help, and I find them very efficient. I travel with 4 or 5 friends, and this is my favorite place to stay. A block away from Gotanda Station which is the least intimidating station on the Yamanote Line, I think, makes me feel comfortable and safe. This was my fourth stay here.

The bath sponge, but I bring my own wash towel so it's okay.

Staff where helpful, kind and had great recommendations for local restaurants. The location is great with the subway right by the front door and the JR line a minute walk away. Room size is bigger than most in Japan and has a washer/dryer in the room. Great value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel. Its a short train rides to major wards and has main train lines for easy transport without it being to overwhelming as a visitor. Would stay again.

Location! A few minutes walk to gotanda JR station which is a few stops away from shibuya, shinjuku etc via yamanote line. Very easy to get around to other parts of tokyo. There is a car rental shop just next to the hotel. Very convenient If you are looking to rent a car for a day trip out of tokyo. Many food places around the area. Its safe as well. Staff are helpful and conversant in simple english. If you are out exploring tokyo, it is a good hotel to return to rest and relax at the end of a long day. Basic facilities and appliances are provided, like kettle, hair dryer, microwave oven...shower had good water pressure and heater works, wifi is strong.

The hotel was big enough to feel safe and professional but small enough to feel personal. The bed was incredibly comfortable as was the room, it had a very cozy studio feel. Loved being able to put my clothes away in the decent sized wardrobe and the washer/dryer was fantastic. Knowing prior to travel I had that in my room meant I could pack less and just wash clothes a few times during my stay. The location was absolutely perfect. Right near the train station and convenience stores and restaurants. The staff were absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely book here again for my next trip to Tokyo.

Incredibly convenient to Gotanda station (multiple train lines stop there), walkable neighborhood to shops & restaurants, taxis were everywhere! Staff were always very pleasant and as helpful as the language narrier allowed. Shimizu was especially kind and helpful when I was leaving for the airport at the end of my stay - many thanks to her!

Would have been nice to have small plates & bowls in the room along with the glasses, cups, silverware, cooking pot, knife & cutting board provided. It would have helped to have one or two desks to use in the lobby area if extended computer or work time was needed. Was told prior to arrival there are USB ports in the walls, but that is not the case (they immediately provided a solution to that concern upon arrival).

The location is great with whole lots of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. Also a stone's throw away from Gotanda train station. The staff are nice and helpful Additional: there is a coffee machine in the lobbt. which serves a surprisingly nice coffee. It function from 7 am to midnight and it's free

As it is a hotel originally catered for Japanese business travelers who need somewhere to stay for the night, it might be narrow for those who have big luggages. Not a negative, but something to bear in mind for those looking for spacious rooms
