The best location you can dream of while visiting Petra in Jordan! The owner treated us as the most welcomed guests. He gave us recommendations on how to visit Petra to avoid crowds and be able to enjoy the place in peace and without spending fortune - we will be always grateful for that! We have booked dinners at the hotel and thus we were able to enjoy typical Jordanian cuisine. Moreover, we have received recommendations for the rest of our stay in Jordan, which we have followed and enjoyed to the maximum. If there’d be one hotel to stay in Jordan, it should be Petra Guest House - very strongly recommended!

Everything was perfect! Just keep in mind that the hotel is about 5 min driving from the visitor center, so it might be tricky to reach on foot. However, the owner of the hotel will organize alternative transportation, in case you may need it.

We cannot thank Mohamed and the staff of the Petra Guest Hotel enough. Our room was extremely comfortable, the food served was just so delicious. We had breakfast and dinner for each morning /evening of our stay - there is nothing like spending a full day at Petra and coming back to a home cooked meal and a comfortable bed. As if all of this was not enough, the support and guidance of Mohamed is the icing on the cake. Each day Mohamed would take out the map of Petra and help us plan our route. His knowledge of Petra is exemplary and with his careful step by step instructions we were able to navigate our way around the highlights of Petra over the three days we were there. No additional guide was needed. Thank you Petra Guest Hotel for your kind hospitality - you made our stay in Petra so memorable.

Mohammed is the perfect host! He was super welcoming and gave us precious advice to make the most during our short time visiting Petra. There is the possibility to have dinners and breakfasts (the food is very good). The position is perfect as the hotel is just a couple of minutes by car from Petra visitors parking. There are free parking lots at the hotel, as well. Guys, keep traveling to Jordan! Not only it is wonderful and welcoming, but most importantly very safe.

The manager of the hotel is a special person, very kind and gave me many valuable suggestions on how to make the most of my time in Petra. This has a very special value that fills some gaps that the hotel has but which I am sure will gradually improve over time. The price-quality ratio is excellent. Obviously a lot depends on everyone's expectations. My family and I felt at home, in a simple environment, where our main objective was to spend two whole days walking in the archaeological site of Petra, and the modesty of the hotel was of very little importance.

the thing I liked least was the packed lunch.

This hotel was in a really nice location. We had a car so it didn't matter, but it's quiet and the view from the hotel ground floor is super nice. Mohammad (I hope I'm spelling right), the owner, os the main reason why this hotel should have 20 stars. He was extremely helpful in recommending the best route to take to make the most out of our 1.5 days in Petra. We followed exactly what he recommended and we had the best time because it was off the main path, so basically had it all for ourselves. Thank you so much for making our experience a great one! Rooms are comfortable.

The water in the shower was either extremely hot or super cold and the toilet was leaking when flushing. The bathroom could be improved, but we still loved staying here and would go back as these are things that can be fixed and also, we didn't really bother telling the owner so our bad !

everything was great - the room was clean, large, comfortable bed and pillows, warm shower, and we had an amazing view over the town! there was a good selection of food for the buffet breakfast (not included with the room price). We ate dinner twice and both times it was a very yummy home cooked meal. And of course a review without mentioning Mohammad would not be right. He gave us perfect advice, including a marked map that he does with you, explaining what you’ll see and the route to go. We took his advice and felt like we really saw Petra well and from all angles. We chose a 3 day pass and glad we did! 2 days from the Siq and 1 day through the back door.

The hotel is located up the hill so would be tricky if you don’t have a car. Not a negative for us as we had a car and a great view but just to let you know.

Location, the view and the owner was just wonderful. We had the most wonderful stay at Petra Guests Hotel. We even stayed an extra night! The rooms were perfect for us. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, the traditional food was delicious. We will be forever grateful to the owner Mohammed, he looked after us like his family. Be sure to be given the best advice for visiting Petra and any advice for the rest of your travels in Jordan. We would highly recommend staying here.

The owner was amazing, he gave us many tipps about Petra and the best trails in order to do the most out of it. With his tipps we really saw all of Petra and we enjoyed it very much! He was also lovely with our 1,5 years old daughter! The hotel is simple but clean and has everything that you need for a couple of days stay. The location is 5 min by car from the Visitor Center and it's up on the hills, so I do recommend to have a car if you want to stay here. There is free parking lot directly at the hotel. He also offered dinner and breakfast, simple homemade food, nothing special but it's comfortable to eat directly there after a long day of walking. All in all a great stay.

Best Best Best in Wadi Musa/ Petra!! Location: Perfect, it’s 9 min walk from Petra entrance, and 5 min by car (costs around 3 dinar, even less) Room: So clean, neat and so comfortable. You will have everything you need and more. Service: What can I say about Mohammad and his family other than Great people. As a solo female traveler feeling safe is my top priority. Here you feel home and Mohamed and his family are beyond helpful and so nice. I literally felt like I’m with family. The food is sooooo gooood and you get a lot of it (don’t skip falafel for breakfast, I think one of the best I ever had). Mohamed gives you the best advice to visit petra either short way or longer way and you literally don’t need a guide just follow his trail that he draws you on the map. Mohammed was an outstanding host with great practical local knowledge, he went out of his way to provide us with any help and assistance during our stay. He was also a very interesting person to talk to. The en-suite rooms were large, spacious, very well-equipped, and extremely clean! We had two adjoined rooms for a family suite. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice of local foods. One of the nights we ate our dinner at the hotel, which was prepared by Mohammed's wife and family. Again, it was delicious traditional local cuisine and fantastic value for money. We would really recommend staying here. PS: Mohammed makes a mean cardamon coffee!
