Great location right by the entrance to Petra. Family room was spacious. Staff were excellent - so friendly and nothing too much trouble. The pool is lovely (and quite deep) with a nice sun deck. The egg station at breakfast really made my kids smile with the Mickey Mouse pancakes.

It’s about 10years since we last stayed at this hotel and I don’t think it’s been updated in that time. It’s looking a bit tired and outdated in parts, eg the bathroom. I’d say it’s due a renovation really. But it’s still comfy and it wouldn’t put me off staying again - just know this is a mid range hotel showing a little age :)

Hard to beat the location, so close to Petra front gate (photo is from roof top and shows museum and front gate area). Rooms are well appointed. We had a family room with three single beds and a king which worked out great for our family of five. Took advantage of the morning breakfast which was great. Egg station was top notch. Front desk check-in was easy and friendly and gave us all the details for our stay. Took advantage of purchasing Petra by night tickets from front desk which was easy but need to remember to have cash as they do not accept credit for this purchase. Overall great stay and would come back here if seeing Petra again.

The pool was quite cold and The jacuzzi does not really get warm. Hotel does not have a liquor license.

It's right next to the Petra visitors center and museum! From the front desk to the housekeeping all staff were super friendly, customer service focused, and accommodating. I would have a hard time thinking of a a single hotel I have EVER stayed at that offered a better value for the money than Petra Moon. Perfect! Please start a chain of hotels around the world with the similar types of locations, amenities, value for the money, and service standards.

There is literally nothing I didn't like. I have never received so much value from a hotel that cost less than US$90 per night. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Everything is made with perfection. The bed, bathroom the room, common areas - you won’t be able to find a single molecule of dust. Super clean and tidy. Breakfast was incredible - 3 chefs are at your service. The staff - very friendly. Top location - just 100m to Petra entrance. Newly decorated room, clean, with all amenities. Dead sea products in bathroom - nice touch Free mini-bar and complimentary fruits provided. Has a rooftop restaurant with wonderful view of sunset Excellent location - 5 minute walk from Visitors Centre (somewhat uphill and may be difficult for those with mobility problems). Valet parking on arrival. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast - fresh and good variety!

Wifi connection was temperamental in our room. Room was not ready on our arrival (almost 1 hour after check-in time) - however the reception staff were apologetic and tried to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and gave us welcome drinks.

The Petra Moon Hotel was a good choice for our visit! Its location can't be beat, just steps from Petra's visitor entrance. The free shuttle across the street to Little Petra was super convenient, running about every 30 minutes. Breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommended for easy access to the wonders of Petra!

Petra Moon is a fantastic hotel and we loved our stay there. It's a family-owned business and the hospitality really reflects the sense that the guest experience goes beyond something simply transactional - the whole team really care about making your visit as special as possible. You can see this in the little touches - a free fruit plate and soft drinks/snacks in the mini bar, a host of locally-produced Dead Sea mineral products in the bathroom - way more than the usual shower gel and tiny hand soap. Facilities-wise, the rooms are well-equipped and comfortable. The hotel's rooftop terrace has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and in season, a bar and grill. We loved the food - a plentiful local and continental breakfast buffet with made-to-order options as well as a wall of pastries that my daughter tried her best to work her way through. In the evening, the chefs produced a great range of local dishes, again with custom options and a huge dessert selection. It was excellent value. The location couldn't be bettered - set opposite the museum, the entrance to the main complex is visible from the front of the hotel. Where Petra Moon really came into its own was when we needed to seek medical assistance - Huthayfa, the operations manager, went out of his way to assist us: arranging medication from a local pharmacy, driving us at night to a local hospital, ensuring everything went smoothly then getting us back well after his shift had ended. Without his help, we really don't know what we would have done. All in all, we would highly recommend Petra Moon Hotel as a base to visit the area - we'll certainly be back but hopefully without an added hospital excursion!

Everything was fine. Breakfast was various, staff super friendly and the hotel was very close to the visitors centre of Petra. The latter was the main reason why i chose this hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. this is a hotel with western standards.

Location of this hotel is great for everyone who wants to have quick access to Petra. It's only about 3 min walk away. Was positively surprised by complimentary fruits and soft drinks left in our room as well as the small pack of Dead Sea cosmetics (sea salt, shower gel etc). These gestures made us feel very welcomed. Special thanks to the receptionist (sorry can't remember the name), who gave us two extra hours for the check out, so we could enjoy wandering around Petra to the max. Breakfast boxes given to us for the same purpose were highly appreciated!

Breakfast absolutely delicious, hard to forget, I really dont have nothing to complain about. Room was clean, smelled nice, bed comfortable, also free things at the bar were awesome. Awesome view at the Petra hills and area, nice dinner place on the rooftop with pool and jacuzzi. Just perfect opportunity to stay, so sad we were there only for 2 nights.

Parking lot quality could have been better but thats all.
