We had an amazing stay in the Venus hotel, it is the perfect place to explore Petra and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect a few mins walk from Petra and the staff were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. We got upgraded to a balcony room which was lovely. The rooms have everything you could need including water, a fridge, AC and USB charging ports. The bed was comfy and the hotel was very quiet at night we slept great and there was free parking. We got room service for dinner which was perfect as we were exhausted after a full day of travelling. Breakfast had lots of options and was lovely. The hotel does a lunch box for 5 dinars which is great for Petra as there is limited food options. Inside there is two sandwiches, two pieces of fruit, tomato and cucumber, a chocolate croissant and a bottle of water. We had a lovely stay at Venus and would highly recommend!! It has everything you need throughout your stay at Petra and the staff are so welcoming!

Hotel has fantastic location it is situated 50 metres from the visitors centre of Petra. Staff is absolutely amazing, kind and welcoming. They arranged the tickets for Petra by night and delivered them promtly to us. Lady who did a check in was an absolute sweetheart. I would say that human and kind approach is their main asset. We were given all information we needed, they made us feel very welcomed. breakfast was very nice, room was spacious, clean, with balcony overlooking the square with main entrance to petra valley. Convenient parking right in front of the hotel. perfect place to stay in when visiting Petra.

One of many hotels near the entrance to Petra, it may a bit more basic that its neighbours but we found it quite comfortable, good value and super convenient for accessing the park, especially first thing in the morning. Breakfast was ok - fairly standard fare and nothing to get excited about. The staff were helpful and allowed us to leave our bags with them during the day after we'd checked out.

The hotel is up a very steep (but fortunately not very big) hill from the entrance to Petra. After a long day climbing up and down lots of steps inside Petra it was not exactly what we wanted!

We thought the Hotel is very good, the facilities are very good and quite comfortable. Room was a good size, air conditioning worked well. We had a balcony that had a good view. Host and staff extremely helpful, always willing to engage in small talk and provide any assistance required. It is a 5 min walk to the entrance of Petra which allows you to go out on foot. Option to take a lunch box at 5JOD. The buffet has plenty of variety and we enjoyed the food. The parking for the cars is free, right next to the hotel which is very handy. Overall would be happy to go back again.

Although surrounded on all sides by luxurious and semi-luxurious hotels, Venus holds its own despite being a smaller boutique hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds and the pillows (the best we had during our whole trip in Jordan). The breakfast is very generous, with a good variety of options. Even though the breakfast is officially served at 6am, they allow guests to start eating at 5:45am, so that they can be at the visitor center before sunrise, which is very accommodating! We were also impressed with how attentive the staff was. Any time we called in for any reason, someone was at our door within minutes, fulfilling our request. This type of response was very impressive for a 3-star hotel. The sunrises and sunsets are exquisite, if your room faces Petra or if you go to the roof patio. Would highly recommend this hotel, given its proximity to the entrance, the bus station and the free parking lot, but also due to its very affordable price. The area is also great, with only a few minutes walk to the museum and all the best restaurants in town.

Incredible position. Overlooks the entrance. Free parking in communal car park outside. Tips Get a two day Petra Jordan Pass. Arrive at hotel by 4pm go to visitors centre opposite and get your 2 day ticket. Drive to Little Petra. Will only take about 2hrs max to get there and back and view. See the frescos. And get a teaser for the main event the next day. Have a quick breakfast at 6 am then you can enter Petra rather than queue with many others as you will already have your tickets! We did the following in 9hrs. Treasury/Treasury View (free trail). Then come back a bit and do High Place of Sacrifice and continue on that trail to the far end. Stop for a break at the Basin restaurant area. Then Monastery- light better in afternoon. Then back to Main Street and walk back to a now very busy Treasury. Cave Bar at the end by the entrance. One full day was plenty and we were back by 4pm and not rushing it (couple mid 50s). Good grip trainers are fine. Get Maps.Me it shows all the trails.

Bit tired but still vg value for Petra.

Breakfast was on time, warm and hearty with much variety to suit the tastes of all, vegans included. The setting of the breakfast room is further down from the lobby area and is easily accessible to all. The bedroom was large with a queen size bed and bed sheets and covers were immaculately clean. The room comes with complimentary bottled water, electric kettle and coffee and tea. The refridgerator was pleasantly cold. The thing I found most admirable is the electric socket system which suited both my UK and EU plug types. The hotel manager and the front desk manager, Anas, and the entire staff met us with smiles and professionalism. We arrived early and were allowed to check in 2 hours in advance. In all, this was an unexpectedly wonderful stay for a local hotel whose location is a mere 100 metres from Petra World Heritage Site's main gate. We liked it so much that we extended our stay for an extra day.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. We had dinner at the hotel itself. The dinner costs 10JD for an adult and 5JD for a child. It was worth every penny as the food was delicious. I was travelling with my family and they gave us rooms next to each other. The breakfast also was quite good. They also prepare a lunch box for 5JD for you to carry in Petra which was a god send as you don't have much eating options in Petra. So, we did a lunch box for 5 JD, found some shade in petra and happily ate our lunch. A good hotel with a great dinner, good sleep, and good breakfast can make such a difference to your holiday. The hotel is also absolutely right next door to Petra entrance. They also sell Petra by night tickets which is 17JD. So, you don't have to go to the ticket centre, but can just purchase it at the hotel and add it to you room bill. However, Petra by night is not worth it at all and is a waste of money.

The wifi wasn't working. I had to sort out my next day's travel and all that. However, it wasn't a fault of the hotel as the provider itself apparently was down. They sorted it out late evening around 8pm.

Mervat, the woman who checked me in, was so nice and welcoming! The room and bed are comfortable. The location is right outside of Petra visitor centre and Jett Bus so it was nice to wind down after a long day of walking! They also provided room service which was a nice touch when you’re tired after a long day! Breakfast can start 5:45am which is good so you can go to the treasury at sunrise. Good value for money! I recommend

I requested new towels as I thought my original towels were dirty, however, I got similar ones. Towels showed a lot of aging. It’s like they never replaced the first set of towels they got when the hotel first opened or maybe the towels were just dirty

Very nice small hotel with superb staff right across the road from the Petra archaeological park and JETT bus stop, with free parking for the guests. People working at the hotel were all exceptionally nice, warm and welcoming, they were even willing to arrange my lunches and dinners for me, although their restaurant was currently closed. My room had a balcony with a view on Petra, it was spacious and nicely decorated. All in all, a very positive experience.
