Everything, except one thing, was great. The room was comfortable, clean and well designed. Rooms are very well sound insulated. Despite being very close to I-5, I couldn't hear it. Access to the highway is super convenient. The breakfast counter server was so sweet, polite, and helpful. I was impressed with the front desk, they were professional and efficient. They got me checked in and checked out super quick. The whole property is very well maintained. I will stay at this hotel the next time I visit the area.

I get the appeal of the pump bottles for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner - less waste, less plastic, all good things. But, all three smelled bad. Maybe no one used the product in a really long time? I'm glad I had my own with me.

This location is wonderful, near a lot of different shops. It is good for families, and the staff is wonderful & helpful. We wish to come back during the summer to be able to swim. It's a very clean place! I love the comfy beds and plush towels. Beautiful lobby! It's just a nice place.

The breakfast that you pay for has limits. Yes, it's grab-and-go. But we could get a few more items for what we paid for. But really, things are still nice based on what they have. Maybe they do not have the facility to make a full breakfast.

Front desk Maria was the highlight of our stay! She was incredibly kind, helpful, and always had a warm smile. From check-in to answering all our questions, she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely welcoming and professional. If every place had a Maria at the front desk, traveling would be a dream!

Super gracious manager, who let me check in early and waived the early check-in fee as I was having surgery, although I’ll be at minor in Mission Viejo. It really helped me out to be able to check in early and be ready to go. She simply offered. I didn’t even have to ask, so appreciated you have definitely gained my business. I didn’t know you guys were in Laguna so glad I found you.

Front Desk personnel needs work. We were there 3 nights and even after I went to the Front Desk to ask why the trash, hadn't been picked up when we returned to our room the first day, I was told "if you want the trash emptied, leave it in the hallway!" (We emptied our trash daily in the laundry room.) By day 3, there was no toilet paper left, I chased down the maid for a spare bar of soap. When we checked out, and mentioned the lack of any maid service and then was informed that we should have requested a "light touch" service! Would have been nice if that had been mentioned at check in not when checking out.

Didn’t try the. Breakfast. Only because of timing. Everything with the room, the staff and the hotel was fine!

The $10 fee for the parking. I wouldn’t mind if you increased the room rent $10 for it, but add one for something that is expected and unavoidable would Look better in the price. Maybe you’re trying to help people who flew in or took a cab to the hotel, then just give them a discount. I know, petty, but it was the only thing that wasn’t perfect.

The room was very comfortable very clean when we arrived . Peaceful.

That not even once cleaned up the room , we stayed 4 nights . I had to ask them to take out the trash and there weren’t enough cups for the coffee and cream and sugar . Had to ask for more and more coffee too . Otherwise it would be perfect ! 🙌 thank you .

The property was quiet. The staff was friendly. They weren't overwhelmingly staffed which was nice. We didn't have any needs while there so I can't comment on that. It's off the freeway (across the I-5 from all the Hilton's) but you don't hear any of the noise. Had never stayed at a Sonesta so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's kind of a cross between a mid grade Hilton and a Hampton Inn (minus the free morning grab and go breakfast bag). The gym had about 4 machines that were nice (elliptical, stair, treadmill) all with TVs. It was clean. Good fresh water to refill.

They said the pool was open, weather permitting . When the weather was nice, the pool was still closed. Couldn't even get in to the hot tub. They charge 10/night for parking and honestly I have no idea why. In any hotel I've stayed in that's like this where it's not in the heart of something (i.e., disneyland), and off a freeway is NEVER charged. Also, behind the hotel is a sketch place to park. There's a dumpster from the neighboring business bldg, and you can tell homeless may visit there from time to time. I parked on the side and felt safe. The location was a little further away from the spectrum that I expected but a nice 15 minute jaunt into Laguna - so that was good.

We always enjoy our stays here. The rooms & bed are comfortable. The staff is wonderful.

I noticed a lot of litter around the grounds, including a lot of cigarette butt's. I didn't see any ash cans for cigarette butts, so maybe supplying some would minimize them being on the ground.

the young lady at the check was very nice and helpful. excellent staff person

the breakfast was not all that. the breakfast sandwiches were frozen, YOu only had one person checking in the people and attending the breakfast area. she did a good job but, you need to add more staff
