Room was clean, club room facilities were clean and service was excellent

Late checkout charged at $20 per hour for only 2 hours ($40) was a bit rich for my liking especially when you are a member & NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER IN YOUR ROOM OR THE CLUB ROOM, only tap water available, only hotel I’ve been to that doesn’t supply at least one bottle in your room, POOR

The room was excellent. One staff member in particular went to great lengths to help us. It was New Years Eve and he advised us where and which floor to go to to view the fireworks. He also gave us a complimentary glass of wine which was so nice.

The check in process was frustrating, as they would not accept a new credit card to put against the room for security. Given the room was prepaid at time of booking which was quite a time before arrival date, that credit card had expired and I had a new one with me. The receptionist insisted I paid a second time and they would refund me at a later date. I did this grudgingly and it took around three weeks to get my money back which was a substantial amount. Also the restaurant was not open during our stay which we were hoping for but room service was operating. New Year's Eve and New Years Day and no restaurant - Really!!!!

- Closeness to Darling Harbour & City - could walk everywhere. - Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. - Bed very comfy. - Very clean - Valet Parking - Fast elevators - Wifi - Blockout Curtains

- Floor Lamp in room didn’t work (no we didn’t report it just used desk lamp instead) - noisy room upstairs with things dropping on their floor late at night & early morning - same in the room to the left of us. - Apartments outside of window were very very close we didn’t feel like we had any privacy nor them as we could see into their kitchen lounge & bedroom clearly. If window opened could easily throw things to each other lol - Shower could have more water pressure/hand held shower hose. - Plaster patch in ceiling not painted same colour, just gave the room an unfinished feel to it. - Pod coffee would be much nicer than the pkt coffee and what we get in most hotels these days.

Breakfast Buffet was excellent . Room was spacious and clean . Location was okay if you want to be near Darling Harbour . Staff were accommodating but very inexperienced .

It is a joke that we are immediately charged a holding deposit of $200 ,then have to wait 5 to 7 days for the credit to come back to the savings account . Stayed at the Grace Hotel previous week and they immediately processed the credit to my savings account . Also we were not allocated the room as advertised . Manager Ben was helpful and found the right room for the last 3 days of a 4 night stay but unfortunately had to stay in the wrong room for the first night . We were provided with free breakfast as compensation . Room was not cleaned on the third day . In summary it was the NQR stay .

The suite was well appointed and comfortable. The sofa in the room was very hard unfortunately, so not very comfortable to sit and watch TV. Otherwise we liked the room. We also enjoyed the breakfast and went down to the restaurant rather than the Executive Lounge. There was a much better choice for breakfast in the restaurant. The staff in the Executive Lounge were very friendly.

The Executive Lounge was very disappointing in terms of canapes and drinks. There was only one sweet item for canapes and when we were there, there was only a little bit of cheese left (and we were there from about 5.15pm). I was really surprised there were no spirits available either. We have stayed in other hotels, both in Sydney and overseas, with a much better selection in the Executive Lounge.

The Suite was a good size, clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy plenty of seating and the tea coffee facilities were very good. Though basic the Gluten free breakfast option in the Club Lounge were more than enough. Best coffee I have had was served in the Lounge.

I was at an event until 10pm and so planned to get room service when I returned. As a Coeliac the in room dinning looked very good however after 9pm there were no Gluten Free options except a chocolate dessert. I ended up getting something that was not gluten free as I was very hungry but was disappointed when the next morning I opened my Suite door to go to Breakfast and the tray was still there.

Great central spot to everything

I was a bit disappointed as I felt a bit mislead by booking.com. I paid for the upgrade to harbour veiw and upon arrival told that is not guaranteed but the park royal did manage to get me into a harbor view room. This also happened to my sister who had also paid for the upgrade. Park royal helped get us into a harbor veiw as we told them we had booked with booking .com. Please be more transparent with your so.called upgrades. If the Park Royal staff had not been able to get us into the rooms with harbour veiw it could have really ruined the stay.

The good: Proximity is perfect. Right in the middle of everything. Short walk to the train station, George street for shopping and Darling harbour precinct. Staff were good. Parking on site was easy. Water jug and filling stations on each floor was genius.

The room service menu was average and the after hours options need work. People want decadent dessert options late at night and a vegan chocolatey option would have been appreciated for my friend. An empty mini bar was disappointing. Toilets are not soft close as I discovered at 3am in the morning!! So weird. And room really needed another console table for putting personal Items. Also No room for hanging as small closet was full with a safe.

Location was awesome, so close to Darling Harbour and QVB as well. The room was super, we had a shower and bathtub, and the view was towards the harbour, but the W building was blocking it, however it was still very nice. No noise coming from the highway. Slippers, bathrobes, hair drier, vanity packs, all the needed stuff, it was looking more like a 5 star, but we did get the deluxe king room. Breakfast was quite good, they had an omelet bar as well, with an on-site cook. Awesome! Staff also very nice and helpful.

Ordered room service to the room dinner after the Anzac Day Match as had stayed there to attend the Anzac Match NRL first time ever. Good walking distance close by for light rail to the game & back Breakfast next morning buffet nice Nice cosy room Wish had upgraded from email to have more view if the city otherside harbour Bridge or Parking harbour side What loved about it only hotel from all hotels i emailed could check in at 2pm but checked in earlier than that to get ready ti be at the game ready for 3.30pm ceremony Alliance Stadium Got for a great price few months ahead and had VIP parking to leave car there Good walking distance to the Australian Museum to go to the Ramses as had pre purchased tickets

The pillows to sleep were not good at all. Huge both of us didn't sleep well at all, both woke up with sore necks Normally I take my own but cause never been there before had trust in hotel
