Location and peacefulness.

I was a long staying guest and i requested a deluxe king room, no effort was made to accommodate my request, i had to stay in a double single room for 9 nights. At least the property could have contacted me but ZERO contact was made. Please explain……..

Really good location and super affordable price for large rooms. The gym is ok. The swimming pool is too small. The Rotating restaurant on the top floor shows its aged legendary past. Service is also good. I took a room from the corner facing Eastern and Oriental Hotel which was quiet and nice. The oldest thing I’ve ever seen was the iron which is such an old model and doesn’t take water in. ;) But overall I really like its aging identity which is quite cool.

Position of the hôtel..near everything..can walk to town.. Quiet room..

Room not to clean.. Carpet not hygienic, dirty, got rubbish under the sofa. Toilet..water leaking..

Great location, spacious swimming pool, nice staff

Gym very small, apart from 15% total state taxes they charge extra 20-25 ringgit per day for room service which is ridiculous. Should be included in booking price. For 8 night stay we paid extra 180 on top of 15% taxes. Very bad surprise.

1.Room was big and clean. 2.View was great. 3.Strategic location. (can walk to nearby hit spot location) 4.TV can work properly. 5.Got bathtub.

1.Check in process a little bit complicated and waiting (queue) for too long to be serve. Even almost everyday I saw a long queue for check in. Even budget hotel can do better in this part. Maybe change wifi system to the easier one. Using email for password was a waste of time ( Just give the daily code is better). 2.Water pressure was low, and if you want cold water, pressure was too low. 3.Bed a little bit stiff for me.

I really love coffee house staff.. Congratulations to Ms Hasniza, Bella , Ravi n Wanda for good hospitality.. They are friendly, kind and always smile. Concierge staff also good.. Mr Michael n Mr zaini.. You're doing great..!! Keep up a good work..

I was there for 3 days and 2 nights, for 2 nights I could not sleep peacefully because of the sound of children playing and babies crying. When outside the corridor, quiet. Very strange. Room number 1025,On the first day, the room was very dusty. The towel is old and has black spots, I had to go out to the store to buy fabreez and dettol spray.The door of the room (latch part) is broken, I have told the reception and they have sent maintenance staff, they have fixed it but it is still the same because the condition of the door is old and rotten.

did not have breakfast or use the roof top bar. Concierge good service , desk good service. I had a suite with Bay View and an extra guest room . Spacious and a wonderful room although starting to show its age ..We had two toilets and two showers and one shower being over a bath. Absolute convenience when two want to go to the toilet and/ or shower. Bay view suite was very big . room safe was a good size and easy to use. Hawkers food market and other restuarants close by. i have included the view from room 1416

No large shops nearby, Gurney Plaza not close ( and I love Gurney plaza). 20 ringet taxi ride every day to go to the wonderful food court. There is a card that you leave on your bed when you want your sheets not changed. One day when I did not put card on the bed the sheets on bed were not changed . That night when I got into the bed there was some dirt in the bed . ( and that is why I wanted sheets changed ) otherwise the house keeping was very good . Carpet old and a little stretched ,but that really is not a problem. Lift is a long way from room 1416, although there is a service lift very close to the room , But that is for staff

My wife and I are very happy with the staff they were excellent, helpful and courteous. Front office Magdeline, Vanilla,Sri, Sada they are good we had an issue with our parking which was resolved within 30 minutes especially Vanilla and Sri smiling with attentiveness listening to us. We appreciate it very much. Jacuzzi and swimming pool was great. We walkabouts near the property alot and found many eateries and beautiful buildings and good food. Great walk and so many things and very safe to walk. It's a mixed of many old and new it's interesting. Venture out and find out more. Will stay here again in the future.

Only our cabinets which was a bit dusty. I guess because of 1 staff doing so many rooms that it excusable.

Location at Central part of George town, near to eateries, convenient stores and tourist spots. Easy to get around from there using private hire Grab or buses, or just by walking. Breakfast was nice with mostly local dishes, which was delicious. If you prefer continental breakfast, one can make bread and butter or toast with scrambled eggs. The room was considered huge, 37 square metres, and one can literally feel so much space walking around the room. We were given a room on the 15th floor, the second highest. From the window, we got a bay view and can even see the Penang bridge. The bathroom was big, with one bathtub and one standing shower. Water pressure and heater were very strong. Every morning, we got to see the beautiful sunrise clouds. In one of the evenings, we were so lucky to see a double rainbow right through the huge window.

Hotel decor is a bit old, which i am OK. However, the carpet needs grooming or dry cleaning as there is a lingering old carpet smell. On the first day, we were given a towel that smelled like someone had used it to wipe their sweat. Smells awful we couldn't use it.

Very nice rooms. Lots of English speaking channels on the TV. Revisited a lot of old movies I’d forgotten about. Booked a superior double because I had a lot of work to do and the desk was perfect for my Mac, iPad and iPhone with power outlets. Couple of downsides. I was in room 1423 which is pretty much opposite the rooftop bar and techno versions of mediocre pop tunes was not appreciated at 1:00am! (Bar shuts at 2:00am) Room service comes about 10:00am which is a bit too early for my liking but the staff were very accommodating and understanding. 10 minute walk to Love Lane so very close to all bars/cafes/restaurants. Second time staying here and would definitely stay again. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool or gym this time but I will do on my next visit.
