I have visited this hotel several times over the last 20 years and the location is excellent. The price is also pretty competitive especially for the Mandarin brand.

The property is starting to look tired and dated. The rooms/bathrooms have not changed in 20 years and given the scale of construction work in KL and all the new hotels…this needs attention. The staff at the pool restaurant were not particularly attentive…after waiting 15 minutes, I went and got my own menu. After another 10 minutes, I flagged down a waiter to take my order. After another 10 minutes, I noticed my drink sat on the bar…I waited a few minutes before going to get it myself. This is poor service. I would also like to note, that the quality and taste of the food was mediocre at best. The uniforms of the staff at the pool restaurant were grubby and the makeshift steps to the various seating areas were shabby.

My wife’s favourite thing about the hotel was the hair salon: Hair Culture. Her words: “Just to visit Jessica’ salon would be worth going to KL. She gave me a head massage that was as relaxing as a full body massage… Her technique and knowledge was really impressive; I am absolutely in love with my colour and new haircut”

We stayed at the suite and it felt a bit outdated. The breakfast was limited in options for intolerants

The Brand is solid. They do know a thing or two about running a hotel business. It’s a slick operation. The apartment we had was spacious and comfortable. Beds were superb in terms of comfort and air conditioning was faultless. The hotel has a nice pool to chill out by. It is close to Petronas Towers (worth a visit) - but book those well in advance if you want to visit. Perhaps a couple of weeks in advance. KLCC Mall next doors offers the convenience of a supermarket and a multitude of coffee bars. For transport one should download GRAB application which is perfect for accessing anywhere in town.

The facilities, the location and cleanliness. The friendliness of all the staff

Everything was just perfect until I checked out. I was in the rush to the airport but the check out held me for pretty long. Someone charged their meal to my room. The male receptionist said it's mine and I asked to show me the bill. I told him that I never signed or had any lunch in MO. He go and find the bill and show me which took probably 10min +-. I asked him to do it faster. He asked am I in a hurry? I got mad immediately where I already told him that, my car was waiting for me outside. I'm rushing to the airport. I raised my voice, then he said ok ok seem U in hurry I will remove that from your bill. He should do it before holding me for so long. So unprofessional.

The service was amazing, staff were really attentive, kind, and went out of their way to make us feel looked after. We arrived after a 12 hour flight and 1.5 hour taxi ride exhausted, and they gave us an early check-in and bags brought straight up for us. We are so appreciative of this as it made a massive difference to our stay/experience. Everything from the way the cleaning was carried out, to small things like providing adapters in the room was thoughtful, making the experience ever more pleasant everytime we found something new. Couldn't help but to take a picture of how the cleaning crew arranged our messy toiletries as an example of how impeccably everything was. Plenty of drinking water in glass bottles in the room alongside expected coffee and tea options. Lovely surprises such as chocolate delivered to us by their amazing staff. Bed was big and comfortable - they provided a long list of available pillow types as well! No noise from other rooms so great soundproofing. Breakfast was lush and the spread was great. Only thing I can think could be improved upon was the rendang being a bit tough and the croissants a bit soft but that's me being picky. I will definitely be back after such a wonderful experience. The hotel is very close to Petronas towers and the park where you can see the light show. There is also a shopping center connected to the hotel. The location could not be better. The room was very comfortable, you can choose the type of pillow you want to ensure you have a wonderful sleep. The swimming pool was very good, although you cannot see the towers from the pool you still have a nice view of the city. The gym was superb, with all the machines to do a proper work out. Those looking for a hotel with a nice gym, can choose Mandarin. The breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from and the food was very nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful, when you do the check in they give you a box of chocolates and they are always available to help.

Everything was excellent for me, I cannot fault it in any way. The swimming pool is not facing the towers but you can see them as soon as you come out of the hotel, so is not a big issue.

Room sevice food was the best I have ever tasted - especially the mushroom soup. This was deliverd in a very speedy and friendly manner. Breakfast was a delight with friendly and attentive staff who clearly enjoy their work. The food was excellent with a massive chioce of freshly prepaired dishes created by very friendly chefs. All the resteraunts are to a very high standard and the staff throgout the hotel could not have been more helpful. We are looking forward to our vist next year.

Nothing Koenraad and his Executive team spoiled us throughout our stay

Loved the location, it is close to Bukit Bintang area. Walkable to Pavillion & Fahrenheit 88. 7/11 or marts are close by. we got a room with Twin Tower view. Easy for taxi or Grab to locate the hotel. - They had all the facilities we can ask for (pool, spa, restaurant, lounges, a store). The amenities in the room is superb. - Even though the hotel seems like an old building compared to the other towers around, they are super clean. - Suria Mall is right next to the hotel, so many restaurants and cafes to choose from. You can shop in one go. - When seeking information with regards to tours, the concierge is so helpful with proper information on what is worth the money or not.

Nothing bad, but in terms with the bathroom, it would be nice to have another opaque glass door where the bidet is located. Other than that the bathroom is fine.

The hotel was just beautifully decorated and so was the room. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. It's the attention to detail like leaving a bookmark on my books, tying up my power leads, sending up the luggage weighing machine to my room. It felt very special to stay there! It was very easy access to the large shopping mall, Suria KLCC. It felt good to be there at the hotel, luxurious, friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

Maybe have the breakfast included in the room rate? Not a big issue however as the breakfast is fairly affordable.
