Had a great time on our first family holiday.Location is great for accessing local amenities, shopping centers and transport.Hotel is near lots of night clubs but it can easily be avoided if with family by taking an alternative route to access local shops etc. Hotel serves great food the breakfast bar ,club lounge access allowed free drinks almost all day ,snacks and evening canapés .It really helped with 4 children on board. Customer service was exceptional.Every single member of staff surprised us by exceeding expectations , hospitality,warmth and compassion. Easy to travel to ,local food places are great especially , affordable -Halo Kebabs,Vecchia Napoli and the local ice cream shop near Halo.

Please be aware there are building works going on nearby but it didn't put us off. The nearby night clubs were a bit of a suprise.

The staff was great and made us have our stay very comfortable. I would especially like to thank Katarina, Mary Grace and Arjeneive for their kindness and high level service to make us feel at ease. We have enjoyed a lot from the pool and the playroom. We'll definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

It could be noisy during the nights, because the hotel is in the middle of Paceville, where the pubs and disco's are.

The staff were so helpful and nice, the hotel itself is very nice with great facilities. Breakfast was phenomenal and when I mentioned the he didn’t have avocado the next day I had it anytime I wanted. The gym was enormous! The food was good at the restaurants, the garden was peaceful, the room was comfortable, and view from the upstairs pool area at night was gorgeous

The area of Paceville around the hotel is terrible. 17-22 year olds partying all day and night with super loud club music. Drunk and stumbling around. Obviously this isn’t the hotels fault. Once you get away from that it’s not far from the bay areas which are very nice.

I had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Malta, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! From the moment I arrived, the staff especially Catalina made me feel incredibly welcome. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and they went above and beyond by offering helpful local recommendations. The room was immaculate and equipped with everything I could possibly need. While we had a few mishaps during our stay, Catalina ensured that everything was dealt with promptly and efficiently, which made all the difference. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, guaranteeing a great night’s sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The large spread offered an incredible variety, with something to suit every taste. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. The amenities were another standout feature. I particularly enjoyed the pool and spa facilities, which were clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect space to relax and unwind. The location was also ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transport. Despite being situated in a busy nightlife area, the hotel itself was peaceful and quiet. Overall, my experience at the InterContinental Malta exceeded all expectations. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and exceptional service. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in St. Julians Malta with my husband and two children. It was an unforgettable stay. Perfect in every way! We had a room with a garden view which was beautiful - lights lit up in the evening - made it so romantic. The breakfasts were divine - so many varieties of food, drink and fruit, we all had something to choose from. And the Service was perfect. Every waiter and waitress made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. All of our needs were met. Everyone at the hotel was very professional, kind and helpful. The kids loved the pool. It was also a great place to travel to all the tourist destinations around the Island. We felt like Kings and Queens at the Intercontinental and if we ever return to Malta (and we really want to!) we will definitely stay at this hotel. Highly recommend to everyone!

The number of elevators does not fit the size of the hotel. During part of the day, you should wait a long time for the elevator and when it is finally coming, it is full and stops almost on every floor. Our friend didn't have hot water 3 nights from the 7 we had been there In the check in we waited to get our room for 2.5 hours and we finally got it only at 17:30 The more bothering fact is that we had been repeatly told that our room going to be ready soon, and so we stayed to wait in the lobby instead of get to do something meanwhile. We got free drinks as a compansation

Great place to relax and chill. The pools are great and nice beach area. Services around the outdoor pool and beach area are great. Great breakfast and dinner at Al Fresco was beyond expectation. The staff at the hotel are nice making sure you have a pleasant stay.

It’s location is in the mid of the partying youth. Especially at night it get very crowded. Is only a problem if you want to walk to some restaurants and you need to by pass those partying people. But we found away to walk to avoid those partying people.

Overall we had a amazing stay at Intercontinental Malta and would definitely consider going back soon :) Initially, I was sceptical of staying at such a large resort, but it didn’t feel that big at all as the experience felt personalised and the staff knew all the details that they needed to know about us. Highly appreciated the call from Katerina the last day to check up on how our stay was. The staff at the hotel was super nice and helpful. The location was also great, with a lot of restaurants close by. The pool on the 10th floor was nice, although at times it was really hard to find a sun bed. The gym was nice as well, however it would have been great to get some more information on the gym guidelines, like that you need to bring your own towel, water and how to sign up for the gym glasses. The hotel breakfast was amazing, so well-organised and great selection. The first day at breakfast, we received a very warm welcome from Mohammed, who was super helpful and explained the breakfast set up for us. There was never really any waiting time, even though we always went during peak time, clearly the staff is well-prepared and efficient :)

Few things definitely need improving 1. The connected rooms set up doesn't work. There is too much noise and we had to make a noise complaint because we couldn't sleep. 2. The fridge wasn't working in our room. In peak summers, it's absolutely important that it works. 3. The elevators are a bottleneck when the hotel is at peak occupancy. There was a lot of wait times by the elevators and when they would arrive it would be be full.

The room was exceptionally nice. I loved the nice gift of local samples of beverages plus chocolate. Then the exceptionally sweet surprise that I don’t experience anywhere is the wonderful use of a room scent. It was so nice and unique to experience I called the desk to express gratitude. Sheets and bed softness is my measurements of excellence- Score 20. Then the TV channels were inclusive of many languages and not just news a plus for one that wants to relax in on their stay. The property as a whole is a 10+. Staff and the access of onsite facilities was wonderful from choice of restaurants to drinks and even spa and treatments. Location is important and it ticks all my needs from walk to the ocean option, to shopping or dancing and music venues, as well as a cinema next door.
