It’s to disappoint not identify as 5 star hotel at all no hospitality no facilities only kayak not recommended at all service was so bad the reception after i explained the problems many time they didn’t understand TV in the room has limited access to wifi only things working there channel if ur foreign will not have any things to do with it if u have old person need to relax and stay at room nothing to do we submit our complaint first day about TV facilities and irin was so dirty MR DINSON the manager he offered drinks and apologised and promised for second day and second day no one fixed i asked to call the manager many times and they didn’t let me talk to him and finally after 5 time he said tomorrow he is so bad handlingeven the situation , no fresh juice provided as well if you booked half board no drinks or juice included the staff don’t know how to served the touched the cup from the upper part and the give the straw with there hands , no refill for room facilities like tea packet or replace the used mug so boarding and nothing around the hotel as well fake activists no parties nothing music no beach activities no shows , nothing even the TV your not able to use , in addition to Gecko in the room i would like to thanks MR SAM The responsible for mercado restaurant as ge his doing his best on the service to make up satisfy as well big thanks for MR DINSON as he is the manager after he knows our complaint he did an effort internet access was fully attended to our TV as we requested as well fresh juices offered to us specifically as well we get extended for our checked out time also offered dinner or lunch for free he is doing his best to be satisfied and he is the best manager here looking after guests comfort

We stayed at the resort for 7nights with our 3,5yrs old daughter, I can really recommend it for families. Everybody is really nice and kind, huge thank you for the Ladies in Kids Club. Its really well equipped with toys and other stuffs. We enjoyed also the main pool, you can just lay and drink your coctail there. The sea is really good for snorkel, it has many fishes. The breakfast and the buffet dinner was also nice, with many different meals. The garden is incredible nice with many birds, the gardeners cleaning every morning. Also, the resort is not far away (aprox. 30min by car) from La Vanilla park which we really enjoyed. Le Morne beach around 20min, Chamarel waterfall also 30min. The room is quite big so you have enough space, everything was ok.

The room was lovely and spacious. Cleaned daily. Close to the beach. Gardens are neat and beautifully maintained. Great breakfast buffet. Lovely swimming area. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Excellent service all round

The dinner buffet was not to.my liking.

Overall, our stay at Outrigger was 4x days well spent. A few highlights include: Delicious food (extensive buffet + a la carte options), a nice aesthetic throughout the hotel: trees, foyer, huts, sea views etc, sea front villa, sizeable, comfortable rooms, plush linens, super comfy beds/pillows, a huge bath! A special thanks to Nitish, Diksha, Milenka and Vikram for their warm welcome. The resort also has its own app which was super helpful - if ever we had any questions or requests, we were guaranteed a speedy response!

If you have an eye for detail, you may spot some of the interiors need a little spruce, but the overall look and feel, and general comfort of the hotel are great. Would recommend that the sun lounges are sprayed down from time to time.

We had the most amazing stay at Outrigger! The property is so well equipped for families - 3 different pools, a fun slide for the kids, and a beautiful and relaxing beachfront. We loved that we could choose from the main buffet style restaurant or the lovely Edgewater restaurant for dinner, and enjoy delicious lunch at Le Bleu. There was also a wine bar which looked nice, but we didn’t end up going there. The main pool has a lovely semi separate shallow section where our son could splash around safely by our feet, which we loved. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a villa, which was so unexpected and so special. Such a stunning space!

This was by far the best hotel we have stayed in as far as we can remember, we believe current rating (7.6?) does not do it justice since we would give it 10 stars. Everything was excellent, from huge family rooms (74 m2!), to food (French food with choice also on Indian, Asian etc), kids club - our kids were 3&5 (opened from 10-22.00, with possibility of kids dining with them so you can enjoy dinner alone), many fun activities. We also tried spa (husband had great massage), yoga (nice), family treasure hunt and many other activities. Facilities are great (pool, kids pool), resort is clean, well maintained, staff is beyond nice. We were on HB package and it suit us well, we ate lunch extra at resort every day and we do not find food pricey (European prices), drinks are a bit pricey (9 euros for beer), but still a lot cheaper than Dubai 5 star resorts we tried before. Husband also arranged for kitesurfing lessons (10minutes away, in the next resort) and we have to admit Mauritius is even kitesurfing paradise, flat lagoon, no people (2-4 kitesurfers at the time), great instructor. We hope to be back to Outrigger soon with 3 kids, we saw many big families and the extra kids room can fit 3-4 kids easily + they gifted us many free coffees, ice cream was free all the time, which is a nice gesture. Overall, 10/10, thank you very much for everything! PS: We even got early check in and late check out, so basically we got to stay there 8 days and paid for 7 nights. Excellent price/value ratio on 2nd week of January, looking at prices, first week of January would be too expensive and March and April as well, but we got great nightly rate and think it was totally worth the money.

Only thing we would approve is that music at the bar can be loud in the evening if you have a room facing this bar (9-11 PM). It would be better to turn off the music a bit or only limit it to certain days or place families in quiet rooms elsewhere.

We stayed here in april. The beach was breathtaking, especially when it was sunny. You could go snorkeling or do activities at the water sports center. Furthermore, the gardens were well taken care of and full of luxurious vegetation. There were even some lovely ducks mingling around during breakfast. Speaking about food, the meals were very tasty and diverse. I especially enjoyed the fish we ate at the Edge Water restaurant. Let's not forget about our rooms, which were comfortable , well cleaned and equipped! However, what really stood out to me about our hotel was its dedicated staff. I've never met someone as kind hearted and helpful as Dinson, our personal relations manager. From the first day of our stay, he was eager to make sure we adjusted and had everything we needed. For instance, when he found out how keen we were on exotic fruits, he brought us a whole basket of them! Diksha, one of the waitresses at the seaside bar, and two other animators, which played sports with my little brothers on the beach, were also very friendly towards us! The whole personnel was devoted and attentive. We also really appreciated the traditional soirée they held. I highly recommend Outrigger for both couple and family holidays. Me and my family are so thankful for the unforgettable memories we've made there!

we spent a night on 30/11 at outrigger . The hotel really exceeded our expectations. Food was tasty and varied, rooms large and rather comfortable, pools clean...we highly recommend...The people working there made a significant impact on the quality of our stay. Staff members who really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable included Girisha and Nitish from the reception, Daryl from the entertainment team, the Mercado waiters who have been wonderful, attentionate and polite and the main bar crew who attended us very well and always smiling. We want to thank all the teams for going over and above.

2 rather minor points: 1) bed linen might require some replacement. 2) fresh paint in some outer parts of the hotel.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, direct access from our ground floor room to the beach. Nothing beats the sound of wave crashing while chilling on the chair at 6 am. Good location overall, parking is available inside the hotel premises.Guest services were good and were responding to our requests, faily quickly There is a hygiene shattaf!

Breakfast options are limited, but there are always safe options with eggs and croissant Rocky beach, it's hard to walk into the water or swim Lots of ants, but that was kind of expected. Just ensure you lock your bags The shower has no privacy door and only a curtain to cover the big toilet and shower area.

We are a young couple in our 30’s, and were supposed to stay at this beautiful hotel. Unfortunately, the property contacted us 1 week before our departure, informing us there was a problem with our room and they needed to transfer us to another hotel. I cannot review our stay on that hotel, but the service from Pamela and Martine was incredibly good for searching us alternatives hotels nearby even when we declined those proposed by them. They reached out to one of the best hotels in the south and managed our transfer with transparency. We couldn’t have been more satisfied by their offer. So many thanks to the whole team.
