The resort has an excellent location on Flic en Flac Beach, also close to Tamarin Bay. Being on the west coast, we had the opportunity to admire amazing sunsets every evening. The resort has a big garden with lush vegetation, where you can see also many colorful birds and other small tropical animals. We had a superior room with ocean view, Le Morne view and also adults only pool, which was very convenient for us. The food was great and the staff also, everyone was very polite and supportive in any situation. Also I had a very nice experience at the spa. The lady who made me a relaxing massage recommended me to use a hydration gel for the face. I really appreciate her suggestion, now I use the product every day.

We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. ..I have rarely eaten as well in a hotel as I did in this one. Every time they came up with different delicious dishes and there were always surprises in the selection. The staff is very, very friendly and extremely helpful and polite...always a smile on their face and never too bad to fulfill a special request. The section of beach in front of the hotel is clean and well maintained... only the boats from the watersports affect the view of the horizon and sunset... otherwise great! Pool area great...super nice service at the pool bar!

Basically it's hard to say what not to like... You cannot book a taxi ride to your room, even though there is a cooperation in the brand and logo. There are three free-roaming dogs in the area...but they are very harmless...but if you are bothered, that could be a negative point Lots of birds at the dining table, which wasn't always nice

Well, from check in to check out, the place and the staff were impeccable. Particularly Naveed, he was the nicest and the most professional guy I have seen, the way he handles the bookings and customer care is above and beyond. A true asset for Sofitel. Ayush at the beach cafe also needs to be accredited for being so great with customers and guests and he put a smile on everyone's face I saw him interact with.

Food. We booked half board and I have to admit that the quality was one of the best I ever had in hotels. The choice isn’t too big, but I truly enjoyed. The beach was clean and maintained well. Super family friendly - almost all guests are families with kids. However, it didn’t feel crowded or noisy.

The hotel is significantly worn out and outdated. Some things are literally dangerous - see that pin on the floor and imagine stepping on it while walking barefoot to the bathroom. Cleaning is poor, mold here and there, dirty cups, super soft back-pain-guaranteed mattress (perhaps to hide another one underneath) and many other issues. The blooming green lakes were horrifying, especially the fountains jetting that mud up into the air.

The hotel's beachfront is one of the nicest in Mauritius, although it was rainy season it turned out it doesn't rain much at the hotel's location. The hotel provides some really nice complementary services such as glass-bottom boat ride, snorkeling, etc... Restaurants were really good with a wide variety of international cuisines.

Staff need upskilling when it comes to basic coffee making. It was almost impossible to have an actual cappuccino at the hotel. Also when cleaning the rooms the staff should pay attention to close all doors and windows to avoid any insects and reptiles inside the room. I instructed them several times to keep all doors and windows closed but they did not fully comply

The hotel is beautiful. The bed is really really confortable, we love it. All the rooms have see view, and we had direct access to the swimming pool and beach. Staff is really helpful and cordial. There are many restaurants for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was good, I would suggest to incorporate more healthy options.

They required men to wear trousers for dinner. This is not really confortable as this is a beach hotel for beach vacation. We did not pack trousers, my husband had to wear a jean that was for the flight only.

Absolutely everything was fantastic! The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! My favorite part of the trip was the hotel staff - incredibly helpful and motivated to ensure you feel great in their hotel. The reception team was exceptional, I am really grateful to them all, especially Vekach, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!

The staff were excellent was very comfortable resort ! All facilities great. Especially Priya who welcomed us late at night and made us comfortable in our rooms. We had a bad experience with Sugar Beach Hotel where we had originally booked at telling us they were full, despite taking the full payment. We were tired and frustrated and priya assisted us with a booking into a good room and she made us feel settled. Priya even arranged a cake to be delivered to our room for my husbands birthday the next day. And the hotel staff wrote a happy birthday message on the bed for my husband. Really made him feel special after the ordeal we went through at sugar beach. We will not go back to sugar beach but certainly return to Sofitel ! They were so good to us through the stay! And the band they had was amazing on our last night. Massages were amazing! Just what we needed. We tried the one that is more natural and light that balances your energy from head to toe and left us feeling so relaxed. The ladies at spa were so welcoming and good to us even gave us extra 15 min because of my husbands birthday. There are also free beach activities you can do which is great like supping, learning to sail, glass boat etc.

Not much just the spa is being renovated so it’s not the fancy facilities but the chalets converted into spa rooms . My husband and I still has fantastic massages though.

Gorgeous property with its own private beach with sunsets to die for. Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, activities for kids and a super breakfast. Met all of our expectations.

The only nit pick i have is their rule of being dressed in full trousers for dinner at their restaurants. Had invited people over for dinner, who turned up in shorts given its a beach resort and we ended up having to drive 5 kms away as the resort wont let them in. At least one of the restaurants could be flexible .
