Hotel location, presentation appealing it's local theme and rustic decor. Restaurant very spacious and clean. Food delicious and good variety. Staff very friendly , helpful and polite. Roof top pool with sea views and additional large pool adjacent restaurant and rest room. Bedroom (basic ) with balcony , clean linen every day, lots of amenities supplied. great service from restaurant , thanks to Jannick, Amelia, Paul and the best Chef on the island is Marjorie, also made friends with Maria and Laetitia, and special thanks to Kevin for organising our mad rush to the airport.

Did not look for faults. Happy with everything

The Veranda Tamarin is an excellent property with a perfect location on Mauritius. The Tamarin area is not too touristy, is right on the beach in Tamarin Bay, and is close to most of the scenic areas in the South. Both the downstairs swimming pool and the roof top one were very nice. all of the staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. There was enough entertainment in the bar area. The room size was perfect although the loud chirping birds right outside my door every night were a bit annoying. I also liked that the hotel provided a basket full of mats and beach towels as wel las a cooler that they would fill up at the bar for you to take to the beach.

I thought the food options were very limited at least at dinner time and absolutely did not like that there were drink selections that are not included in the All Inclusive package. I also did not like that you had no idea which drinks were covered and which were not unless you looked at a menu. I feel that if you go and place your order with the bartender, that it is his responsibility to inform you if the drink that you chose is included or not. No one likes to be hit at checkout with a surprise bill that they were not expecting.

The location is very good, near Flic en Flac beach. The complex looks very nice and they had Dj and music events each night. The room was cleaned daily. We had a big balcony with a great view of the ocean.

The public beach in front of the hotel is not that clean and it has no sunbeds or umbrellas. You can reach by foot other beaches, but you cannot use their sunbeds since they belong to other hotels.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Different dinner options, very good food. Different activities, 2 pools. Open to requests and very accommodating (late checkout, information on the area, excursions etc). Very nicely decorated room, had a small problem with a leaking sink but got fixed quickly. Parking out front. Beach across the street. Overall lovely stay!

My room (think it was 4207🤔) was right underneath the rooftopbar/swimup pool and close to the end of the resort. It was quite noisy in the evening (very loud music from I think the bar outside the resort - was on a sunday though) and you could hear the pool filter non stop in the room, also right in front of the stairs where all the guests have to pass if they want to go to the rooftop, which is kind of a double: 'relaxing' aquarium sound but sometimes you just want the quietness to sleep. 🤭🙈 Didn't ask for another room though as I only stayed 2 nights and I was tired enough to sleep with my ear plugs. I think they would be accommodating if you would ask another room!

the room was nice, loved the massage at the spa, highly recommend to set up the treatment with Natasha. Very nice staff at the Crazy Fish restaurant and bar ( Big thanks to Kesavan). Really good live music at the bar and cool weekend parties! also the hotel provides you a certain credit for the tours, had an amazing experience of hiking trip with super professional guides with a really low price.

the beach is not really good, so you have to drive about 7-30 minutes to reach the good ones. Didn’t like the quality of the food at the breakfast and lunch buffets. Would be nice to have a better range and quality of fruits. Also there were no fresh juice at the breakfast. The alarm system started to work for two days in a row at 6 am and woke me up.

The staff is very welcoming, the location is really good, the party at night (dj) was excellent. People from other hotels came just for that. The proposed activities were great and the taxi fees were also decent and comparable with what drivers usually offer. Room service was also very good (cleaning, doing the bed, laundry). Lots of wildlife to see in just the garden!

The basic rooms are a bit too smalland cramped for two people, the mosquito net broke frequently and had some holes in it. The daily cleaning was at very irregular times, sometimes early at 9 or 10 or 12. A do not disturb sign to hang on the door would help. The bathroom in the basic rooms is a bit small and water tends to overflow into the main bathroom. Temperature of the water ranges from Mordor to warm. The birds are extremely loud at 5 or 4 am in the morning, but with ear plugs or just putting a pillow over your ear will block the noise - this is simply unavoidable on the island but something to keep in mind.

We stayed as a family of 4 . " Adults and 2 boys aged 16 and 8 . Great Breakfast choice always fresh and well prepared . Staff helpful and polite . Lovely surroundings . Great location to the next to the public beach . Quiet at night in the Hotel and things are petty much done and dusted by 10.30 pm . They have a really good points system at the Hotel which means the longer you stay the more point you get which can then be exchanges for activities . We used some of our points to go Kayaking ,Dolphin spotting and visiting the 7 waterfalls all of which were great excursions . We stayed on a B&B basis which worked out well . There are some great budget street food kiosks out side the hotel which provided excellent value local food . The night time meal at the Hotel was always good when we ate there and we also visited other restaurants s in the area some which you can walk to and others you needed a Taxi to get to . Jerry (who was the entertainment guy )was fantastic with the kids as was Niha who took us Kayaking . We came to Mauritius to surf and the waves were small but clean whilst we were there . Our rooms were fine and the Hotel made sure we had interconnecting rooms which worked well . Some people have said there is lots of noise outside the Hotel .We didn't find any issues with this and it was mostly quiet

I don't want to say anything negative as people can sometimes focus on these points instead of looking at the bigger picture. The hotel is great for chilling out but a few more things for the kids to do may a good thing . By that I only mean maybe a pool table .There was a couple of cats hanging around the restaurants. Never an issue but some might not like cats. .
