Fantastic location next to the cathedral and within walking distance of malecon. Rooftop area with bar and pool was also amazing for sunset. The rooms were really big with a nice and soft king bed. Parking was free and easy. Breakfast was good - fruit, pancakes, eggs, toast, juice and mexican dish. Looked like you could order breakfast items off a menu but we were never offered it (but heard some others were)... not sure how it worked. It seemed like you needed to tip the staff in order to get the "extra breakfast dishes"???

Instead of putting a small bottle of water in your room each day with room service I think it would be better to put a large water dispenser on each floor.

The price was reasonable, the location very central. The staff polite and friendly. Everything was clean, bright and modern. We loved the huge shower, the refrigerator in the room was great. I loved the atrium and the open elevator. The roof top bar & pool is a beautiful place to relax, the bar staff are friendly and very helpful.

I would have liked a few dresser drawers in the bedroom plus a couple of comfortable chairs. We had a few cooler days while we were in La Paz but the thermostat in the room didn't cooperate. Although we were never cold. The huge king bed was good but could have been a little bit more comfortable. Overall though Hotel La Catedral is a great place to stay.

Location. Rooftop pool and bar with nice cocktails. Great breakfast.

Not much storage space in the room. The shower head was bunged up with limescale (cleaned it myself) and the bathroom door handle was broken so after we shut the bathroom door (before we realised the handle didn’t work) we were then unable to use the bathroom for that night and most of the following day whilst they got a repair man to come to put a new handle on. It was quite inconvenient as it meant we had to use another bathroom in another room.

The breakfast finish at 11 am not at noon it is important to note this if you want the buffet. The hotel is excellent and very clean. The location is great just a few blocks from the Malecon The rooms are clean and spacious

The bathroom in the room. The water pressure was bad but nothing horrible just not good enough to shower well. The misinformation on the breakfast time. They don't explain the buffet is until 11 am they just said the breakfast is served from 7 am to 12 pm

The hotel was very centrally located and convenient to the waterfront and other sites. Parking was free, not sure how secure it was, but nice that it was free and easy! Pool and roof deck were great, beautiful views. Room was simple but had everything I needed.

Breakfast was great, but I think in addition to the buffet you could order dishes? but it wasn't clear so I think I missed that benefit. There is only one elevator so it can get crowded at times. There was some sort of concert going on nearby and it was very loud...nothing the hotel could do but just know it's a downtown location and there can be noise.

The breakfast was out-of-this-world good. Every bite (all four morning of our stay) was delectable. The best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. I’ll go as far as saying it’s the best complete breakfast we’ve ever had. The bed, room and pool comfort, cleanliness, quality staff and service in a prime location made HC a very special and memorable place. And such a great value. A special thanks to Hector Ivan who really took care of us at the pool-bar. He’s one-of-a-kind.

the restaurant staff , like all the other restaurants staff we encountered, could use some education on food allergies and issues. I have Celiac and can’t have gluten or foods fried in a fryer that also fries gluten-containing foods. This means I can’t eat the corn chips, but they kept showing up as garnishes on things. one female staff told me there was nothing in the breakfast buffet that was “sin gluten”, which was clearly not true. that being said, there was a front desk clerk who worked with the chef to obtain a list of meals that were gluten free or could be modified to be gluten free. I ate several delicious meals at the hotel, and never got sick from gluten.

The rooftop patio is wonderful any time of day. The pool is modern and just the right size to cool off and enjoy the cathedral, city and ocean views. Breakfast is excellent in service and food. Homero is the best - he took care of us personally each morning. The location is perfect - quiet at night and an easy few blocks to the Malecon. The central atrium is gorgeous.

The rooms are very simple and basic - good for a night’s sleep but did not exactly match the gorgeousness of the hotel’s interior and exterior decor.

Everything! Such a fantastic value, perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, simple yet beautiful aesthetic, amazing rooftop pool, onsite parking, free breakfast, proximity to the malecon and so many great shops and cafes (we went to Doce Cuarenta three times because we loved it so much). Last but not least, the balcony and sound of church bells. I didn't want to leave!

The only thing I didn't love was the low water pressure in the shower, but that was a small price to pay for an otherwise perfect stay.

The breakfast was fairly good and well served. The location is excellent, just a few blocks from the "malecón". The building's architecture is very beautiful and the staff was always very helpful and friendly.

It is fairly tough at this point to think of something but if anything, there was an occasion on which we went up to the pool early and the umbrellas were not open yet so I went to reception and they had someone open them up right away. If anything I might recommend anticipating that kind of customer need sooner, but I'd be a bit strict if I called that room for improvement.
