The hosts John Paul and his wife went above and beyond! Breakfast was tasty and accommodating! Left a piece of jewelry and John Paul went out of his way to try and get it to me before we left Mexico.

Jon Paul was an amazing host! This place was amazing and tranquil. Close to everything and I really can't wait to come back.

Nothing everything was great!

The place is authentic, quiet, comfortable. The swimming pool is clean, in mid shadow, and at perfect temperature to swim. Good wifi, good TV. The breakfast is delicious and you can choose from various options, a real meal. The location is a bit remote, but supersafe, right next to a smooth little beach where local people go, and from where you can admire gorgeous sunsets. Supermarket at walking distance; center and malecon a 5 minutes/80 pesos uber drive. If you want a place to chill out you can hardly find better, this posada has it all. Special plus is that the rooms stay fresh, and the beds are extra quality and comfort. I'm travelling with some back pain and the beds + the swimming pool were just perfect for me. Or if you wanna treat yourself after some days camping in the wild.. just go for it! Many thanks John for all the help, advice and good vibes, all the best, see you again next year :)

John Paul and his family went above and beyond to take care of our needs. He gave us great recommendations for places to go and even called to make dental and doctor appointments for us since our Spanish is so minimal. The room was spacious and quiet, the pool and gardens lovely and the daily custom cooked breakfasts were delicious. Good location close to the beach and quick drive to the Malecón. Great value!

Large, colourfully decorated room overlooking pool in small guesthouse. Very peaceful and relaxing with extremely welcoming and helpful hosts. Delicous homemade breakfast was served on the patio, and we were given many restaurant and tour recommendations.

Nothing. But be aware that the guesthouse is not in the centre of town, so it's a 20 minute walk or cheap uber to get there. The walk is pleasant and safe, but the pavements are very uneven.

Full breakfast daily with fresh fruit and many options cooked to your preference. In warm sunny weather the garden and patio seating areas were lovely.

Location was a bit too far to walk back in evening. House had safe parking but it was hard to find parking for our car in town near restaurants because we visited during Carnival week. Chair in room was stained. Couch foam was broken down and was very uncomfortable to sit on. Something in room smelled like old moldy fabric until you opened the windows for a bit.

I very rarely write reviews, but this is such an outstanding stay, with such an outstanding host that I wanted to take the time to compliment La Posada del Tepeyac. The amount of help and care that the hosts give you transforms your stay and gives you a totally different experience of the city. The breakfasts are delicious too. A real gem for travellers to La Paz. A little way outside the city centre, but taxis are cheap and easy to get, or a safe and enjoyable 35 minute walk. Once you are there you feel like you are in an oasis of calm, perfect.

this is a great place to stay, we were here just over a week and it was a real home from home. the room, junior suite, was very spacious and super comfortable and clean. bed was a great size and very comfy. lots of places to lounge and lots of hot water for showers-room is cleaned as often as you want. there aren’t loads of rooms here so has a very quiet and personalised and again, home from home feel. breakfast is excellent and made to order in the lovely cool courtyard by the pool at a time of your choosing. the location is great, away from the bustle of town but with everything you need close by including a choice of restaurants a supermarket and a beach all walking distance. it’s a short and cheap Uber ride to town or a longer but completely do’able walk. JP was such a great host. I arrived with a stomach bug and he was so helpful taking me to a pharmacy on day one and when that wasn’t working, a doctor, where he waited to make sure the doctor spoke English and I was ok. completely over and above. he also gives great recommendations for bars and restaurants and will arrange day trips and tours for you, all of which were excellent. thank you for everything again JP.

all great, can’t fault anything

The accommodation was very clean, well maintained and very comfortable. I spent 6 nights there and found it to be perfect location, far enough away from the main centre but close enough to walk or uber which are very well priced. The other main factor for me were the hosts Jean Paul and Por his wife. I mean Jean Paul just couldn't have done enough for me with his local knowledge and contacts and both Jean Paul and Por, along with their gorgeous little baby daughter were the perfect hosts.

Our room was very nice and super clean. Our very friendly and helpful host John Paul were amazing and provided so much help with tours and travel logistics and general advice, making our first time visit to La Paz as good as it possible could be. This is a small family run B&B with very personal attention. The breakfast each morning was very good. I would definitely stay here again for a future visit to La Paz. The posada is located on a quiet street.

I can't think of anything. At first I thought not being directly in the very center of the Malecon beach area was not ideal, but the location is a short and cheap taxi ride away and with the Didi taxi app (similar to Uber), getting a taxi is very quick and reliable. After staying there for a while, I found it is nice to be in a quieter part of town at night with still a lot of non-touristic restaurants in easy walking distance.
