How much you will like staying here entirely depends on what your expectations are. We were initially hesitant to book here because of the many poor reviews mixed with a lot of good reviews. But after staying here we are so happy we did! It is my hopes to right a thorough review to help anyone else, one way or another, who may be on the fence. If you are expecting the “Fairmont” of Sayulita, this is not quite it. Not everything is spotless and impeccable. However, this is still a high end experience at a cheaper rate than others alike in Sayulita. The rooms are open air, so you have to be realistic and expect to see the odd bug (though how many you see more so depends on the time of year you visit) as well as some wear and tear in the room from the elements. That said, the room was extremely clean and beautiful. House keeping did a wonderful job every day making up our room. The views can’t be beat, though it appears some rooms have less of a view than others. We lucked out and got the middle bungalow, so we had perfect views of the beach below. This is a very “instagram-able” accommodation. Views were to die for. Beds are SO comfy! It often felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, and we never once shared the pool with anyone. Truly felt like we were renting out the entire place. It was peaceful and relaxing. For anyone worried about the walk into town, we suggest renting a gold cart like we did. About $50 USD a day, but worth it if you’re wanting to go into town multiple times a day. We didn’t mind the walk from the accommodation (only about 10 minutes if you go the right way along the water through Playa Los Muertos… DON’T go the other way on the cobble path through the jungle as this takes about 30 minutes to get to town). The hotel will arrange a golf cart to be delivered to you, just ask :) The staff were always available to help and easy to communicate with over WhatsApp.

Prices for food/drinks were astronomical. 100 pesos for a beer, 300 pesos for a margarita by the pool. Dinner menu prices range from 400-1000 pesos per dish. We laughed and said no thank you. We expected it to be pricey as it always is at any accommodation, but we were shocked by HOW pricey. Anyways, we happily went into town for lunch/dinner each day and tried all the yummy authentic restaurants and street foods. We also just bought beers (100 pesos for a 6 pack) at the stores in town to keep in our mini fridge in the room and have by the pool. There are also 2 drink stands at Playa Los Muertos which is about 2 minutes away by golf cart (5 if walking), so we would go there for margs and pina coladas and come back to the pool. Much cheaper if you’re willing to do this!

Very unique hotel that would be hard to find elsewhere. We enjoyed the pool and staring out at the ocean from our room. Hotel staff was kind, but sparse.

Entire property could use a proper handyman. Screws needed to be tightened, mold needed to be cleared, shower drains fixed. Small improvements would make a huge difference. Additionally, there are a ton of bugs in this part of the city, so having a proper seal on the rooms (full netting) would make the stay infinitely more comfortable. Overall we enjoyed, but I don't know if the average person would enjoy this type of glamping experience.

Staff was excellent, Chano (the chef) was the best! He made coffee early for us every morning and had it ready to go when I walked to the kitchen. The views are amazing! The staff are perfectionists about keeping your room and the entire resort spotless clean. Overall wonderful experience. Staff helped us organize a fishing excursion as well as everything else we needed while we were there. Breakfast each day was a fruit plate, yogurt parfait, and toast with butter and jam. Dirt road 15 min walk into town or you can rent a golf cart and the staff can help you arrange that. If you are going in/out town multiple times a day, the golf cart is definitely recommended.

The staff live onsite and sometimes it felt like we were living in their space. They are very friendly, but it is a small community at the resort. When you requested something it could seem like you were interrupting their daily routine. However, they are all willing to help and go the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of.

Continental breakfast each morning brought to our room with hot coffee was excellent. Yogurt with granola, fruit and toast were fresh and delicious. View from pool is spectacular and we had it to ourselves most days. No scrambling for a lounge chair like other resorts. Our room was on same level as pool and kitchen so no steps to go ask for coffee refills or go back and forth to pool. Staff arranged our travel from airport and back and helped us when we left our passports behind in the room. They made us feel very much at home.

Very dark path to walk the (almost) mile back to hotel each night from Sayulita. Some kind of streetlight would help.Path is basically a dirt road with potholes so wear sturdy shoes. Resort below ours played very loud party music until after midnight every night we were there.

Most amazing setting, private and secluded, yet only 5 min walk to playa los muertes and 10 min into town. A wonderful retreat for those who like a more natural and low key hotel experience.

It takes a bit of time to get food ordered, sometimes up to an hour, so that could be improved. Usually not a problem for me but know to order early if you need to eat at a specific time. Getting into town is via a dirt road thats not for everyone, and the resort access is via a very steep path, but if you are looking for a private getaway with a magic view, this is the place!!

Great atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings, the staff was exceptionally friendly and we felt as being part of the family right from the first breakfast! The spot is very calm and overlooks the bay from any spot you choose (in your villa, at the pool, during breakfast). Due to it’s size it is very private and comfortable and a perfect Pause from travelling through Mexico or daily business.

There is no transparency on prices for additional meals (like extra eggs for breakfast) or when you order anything for dinner-we paid for 2xpasta 700Pesos and 500Pesos for 2 glasses of wine and it felt a little like prices and bills are set up spontaneously once you check-out. If you aren’t that nitty gritty, it is like paradise!

My mom and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Boutique Siete Lunas in Sayulita. From the moment we arrived, it became evident that this place was something truly special, a secluded haven nestled deep within the lush embrace of the jungle. With only seven cozy cabins, it offered an unparalleled sense of exclusivity and intimacy that made our stay all the more extraordinary. One of the highlights of this boutique hotel was its idyllic location. Tucked away amidst the verdant foliage, it felt like a secret hideaway, far removed from the chaos of the city. The staff at this establishment deserve special recognition for their exceptional service. Polite, helpful, and genuinely well-intentioned, they provided an experience that was nothing short of exceptional. What impressed me the most was their remarkable ability to be discreet yet attentive, always ready to fulfill any request with a genuine smile. Their dedication to ensuring guests' comfort and satisfaction was evident in every interaction. As someone who despises crowded resorts filled with hordes of tourists, I was thrilled to discover that this boutique hotel catered to my preferences perfectly. The limited number of cabins not only ensured a sense of exclusivity but also fostered a warm and intimate atmosphere. It felt like being part of an exclusive club, where every guest was afforded the utmost attention and privacy. Additionally, while being remote enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, this hidden gem managed to strike the perfect balance by providing easy access to nearby amenities. In conclusion, from the exclusive and intimate ambiance to the mesmerizing sounds of the ocean, every moment was an invitation to relax, rejuvenate, and savor the tranquility. With a dedicated and discreet staff, and a location that struck the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility, this establishment embodies everything I seek in a vacation destination.

The hill leading to the cabins may prove challenging for individuals with mobility limitations. Although it added an adventurous touch to the overall experience, it was a bit strenuous for my mother.

Absolutely stunning property! tranquil and so peaceful. It was like heaven waking up in the jungle looking at the ocean and hearing the waves crash! The staff was attentive and so helpful, pleasant and friendly. Ara (our host) was fabulous!!! Love her.

I loved the walk up to the hill to the bungalow. The jungle is gorgeous, so peaceful, serene and relaxing. sitting on the deck eating our complimentary yogurt, home made granola and tropical fruit each morning with toast, jam, butter and hot coffee was a spectacular way to start each day. We will be back!

The view from the hotel is amazing, a great location, only a small walk from the busy town. A lot of people wrote about it being a 40 minute walk up hill but it wasn't a steep walk, it's fine if you are used to walking. The bed was very comfy and you were protected at night from the mosquito's if you used the drapes on the bed so no issues with mosquito´s and I normally get bitten a lot.

You can hear the music from the club across the water which does take away from the amazing sound of the ocean but it wasn't something that kept me awake. Something to consider if you were planning on listening to the sea while you fall asleep. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel as it was a little over priced.

The reasonable price, the views were beautiful and it was a tranquil location in the jungle.

It was a trek to get there, especially by foot. Taxis and Ubers didn't want to take you there, because of the bumpy unpaved roads. If you want to be closer to town and restaurants, don't stay here. The kitchen closed at 7 pm, and I didn't get back to the hotel until 7:15 pm. Most restaurants won't deliver there and the ones that will were closed. I was heck out of luck getting dinner, unless I wanted to trek down that hill in the dark (and in a storm!)
