Views were incredible!! Rooms were huge and had what we needed—minisplit, shower products, comfortable bed. The staff were also incredibly helpful to navigate transportation, spa services, and assist with dining. The chef was available breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a broad menu. Many complained about the walk to the beach, but we were surprised how short/pleasant it was. It’s steep, but doable. Just bring your sneakers! Golf carts were available to rent if you need them as well. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of town to relax in the mornings/evenings.
The property is ready for a few updates—specifically, the handrails were rotted and a little dangerous around the pool area. Because breakfast didn’t start until 9 am, coffee wasn’t available until then. It would have been nice to have coffee makers in the room since we’re early risers. We communicated to staff throughout our stay using What’s App, but that wasn’t clear after making a reservation. Had I not called the hotel a few days before arriving, not sure how we would have coordinated the arrival. All that said, we’d still stay here again!

How much you will like staying here entirely depends on what your expectations are. We were initially hesitant to book here because of the many poor reviews mixed with a lot of good reviews. But after staying here we are so happy we did! It is my hopes to right a thorough review to help anyone else, one way or another, who may be on the fence. If you are expecting the “Fairmont” of Sayulita, this is not quite it. Not everything is spotless and impeccable. However, this is still a high end experience at a cheaper rate than others alike in Sayulita. The rooms are open air, so you have to be realistic and expect to see the odd bug (though how many you see more so depends on the time of year you visit) as well as some wear and tear in the room from the elements. That said, the room was extremely clean and beautiful. House keeping did a wonderful job every day making up our room. The views can’t be beat, though it appears some rooms have less of a view than others. We lucked out and got the middle bungalow, so we had perfect views of the beach below. This is a very “instagram-able” accommodation. Views were to die for. Beds are SO comfy! It often felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, and we never once shared the pool with anyone. Truly felt like we were renting out the entire place. It was peaceful and relaxing. For anyone worried about the walk into town, we suggest renting a gold cart like we did. About $50 USD a day, but worth it if you’re wanting to go into town multiple times a day. We didn’t mind the walk from the accommodation (only about 10 minutes if you go the right way along the water through Playa Los Muertos… DON’T go the other way on the cobble path through the jungle as this takes about 30 minutes to get to town). The hotel will arrange a golf cart to be delivered to you, just ask :) The staff were always available to help and easy to communicate with over WhatsApp.
Prices for food/drinks were astronomical. 100 pesos for a beer, 300 pesos for a margarita by the pool. Dinner menu prices range from 400-1000 pesos per dish. We laughed and said no thank you. We expected it to be pricey as it always is at any accommodation, but we were shocked by HOW pricey. Anyways, we happily went into town for lunch/dinner each day and tried all the yummy authentic restaurants and street foods. We also just bought beers (100 pesos for a 6 pack) at the stores in town to keep in our mini fridge in the room and have by the pool. There are also 2 drink stands at Playa Los Muertos which is about 2 minutes away by golf cart (5 if walking), so we would go there for margs and pina coladas and come back to the pool. Much cheaper if you’re willing to do this!

The property is lovely, with amazing views. You feel like you’re staying in a treehouse in the jungle. The staff was fantastic, eager to help in any way. We had complimentary breakfast delivered to our room every morning and enjoyed coffee on our balcony listening to the birds and the waves from below. The food is very good and sitting by the pool up the hill with the ocean in the near distance is a wonderful oasis from the busy (though also fun) Los Muertos beach below.
The property is a relatively short distance from town, but the terrain is rough and the hotel is up a stiff incline on a rocky, rutted dirt road. It’s a treacherous walk after dark. We ended up renting a golf cart (with a headlight!) which was great, but even then, there is a hill to climb on foot to the hotel. It’s short but very steep and challenging for anyone with mobility issues, like my husband, who had recently had knee surgery.

Very unique hotel that would be hard to find elsewhere. We enjoyed the pool and staring out at the ocean from our room. Hotel staff was kind, but sparse.
Entire property could use a proper handyman. Screws needed to be tightened, mold needed to be cleared, shower drains fixed. Small improvements would make a huge difference. Additionally, there are a ton of bugs in this part of the city, so having a proper seal on the rooms (full netting) would make the stay infinitely more comfortable. Overall we enjoyed, but I don't know if the average person would enjoy this type of glamping experience.

The entire staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. We loved Coni, Chano, and Julio, who made sure we were happy, comfortable, and well fed. The setting is unbeatable - stunning views and 15 minutes away from town. The walk is not bad, but does cover some ground and can be hilly at times. Plus, the margaritas were amazing!
There wasn't much we didn't like! We did recommend that the staff put out more water so that it was accessible 24/7. This hotel is definitely best for people who are willing and able to walk - there is a steep uphill to the hotel. We loved it, but it's not for everyone.

We are a family of 5 and had three rooms. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a Mexican/balinese flair. The rooms were very generous e the beds were amazingly comfortable. It is set in the jungle and the rooms like luxurious tree houses. You can hear the ocean below. The pool area, which is only steps from all the 7 rooms, has an incredible view over Sayulita. A delicious breakfast is served there and dinner up till 7 pm. You could easily hang out at the pool all day watching the surfers and the beaches. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
I liked everything about the property especially that it is a20 minute walk from Sayulita. (Quiet) But… the road is unpaved, bumpy and unlit. We went into Sayulita for dinner every night and were very happy that we rented a golf cart to do the trip.

Our stay at Siete Lunas was luxurious and we felt very taken care of. The view from the room is incredible, the room itself is comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The area is super private and peaceful, and we were often alone hanging out in the main terrace and pool. The food was excellent and the staff spoke great English.
The food was more expensive than what you would find in town (naturally due to its location). Also, while a wonderful location, it is harder to reach especially by foot with luggage. Would recommend getting a taxi or golf cart and would not recommend to those who have mobility issues.

The location and the view is amazing . The staff are friendly and polite . We got to the property sooner than check in time and they accomodated us . We ordered breakfast with eggs and it was perfect . It was a bit overpriced but everywhere around the world hotels meals ' are more expensive than local resto ! I definately get back to this hotel soon The shower pressure was also very good :)
Due to the architecture and type of ceilings there are some flies during the night on the room but not bothering that much . The drive way at the hotel enterance is very steep but the staff helped us with our luggages The view of the hotel is priceless so the steep enterance does not count in my opinion !

The property is stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night so we didn’t spend much time in the pool, we also didn’t get to try to chefs meals but they looked fantastic.
I was shocked they didn’t offer coffee in the rooms. When I asked the staff about a morning coffee they were not able to provide coffee until 8am. As an early riser this was really disappointing to have to go into town to get a coffee. When I asked why there weren’t coffee pots in the rooms they said it was because of animals but that doesn’t make sense as the fridge was stalked with other beverages and of course guests are allowed to bring in food to their rooms.

Excellent location. Great friendly staff. Yasim, Ruben, Channo all took great care of us. We highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms are really cool, but getting a bit worn out. Cracked pane of glass, hot water runs out quickly, TV remote batteries were dead and a couple of lamps were falling apart. This place is beautiful and well worth staying at. But they need to maintain better at this price point.
