The location was perfect, about 5-10 min walk from the city center! Parking was available. The host was a very nice lady who gladly told us about Bacalar and provided an extensive list of suggestions and tips! She also was available to help with any reservations or taxi’s. The pool and chairs are also very nice. And the breakfast was really good too!

The room was quite noisy, as we would hear loud music until 3-4am each night (the price you pay for the location). Room furthermore was okay, nothing too special. Bed was (for our liking) a bit on the harder side.

Whole property (including restaurant) designed very tastefully and with attention to detail. Perfectly clean. Due to the limited number of guests (16?) very tranquil and chill. The pool area is extremely beautiful. Silent A/C, good beds. We loved the breakfast (3. options). During our stay the manager (Juan?) went from table to table during breakfast to chat, listen(!) and provide very useful advice about activities. Eco-remark: Bikes and filtered water available for free!

I remember only one minor detail, however, we encountered this almost permanently in Latin America: we would have appreciated a 2nd trash bin or a foot operated bin. The bathroom bin has that karma in countries where the paper doesn't go into the toilet and you feel like washing your hands every time you use it for "normal" waste.

The Blue Palm Bacalar is a quaint boutique hotel with unmatched personal service. The owner, Juan, was there everyday chatting it up with us, and sharing his amazing journey. Breakfast was included, and it was complete. Coffee, orange juice, toast, fruit with yogurt and granola, then the main course of your choice of several items. WOW! If you ever make your way to stunning Bacalar, make sure to stay at the Blue Palm. I promise you will enjoy the experience. All in all, Bacalar lived up to the promise. I only wish I could have stayed longer☀️🌴💚🩵💙

Everything was excellent!

The hotel has exceeded our expectations! It is clean, comfortable, nice looking. Good breakfasts. You can use bicycles to explore the town. The owner and the staff are very very helpful and attentive: they provided very helpful advices and hints, recommended (and helped with booking) very interesting tours near Bacalar, helped us with ordering a taxi while we were there. A special thank you to Dalia! We were enjoying of our stay in Blue Palm Bacalar. And we will definitely book this hotel again when we come back to Bacalar. Many thanks!

Our stay at Blue Palm was excellent, from the moment you arrive to this little gem you feel relaxed and taken care off. Juan and his team are excellent hosts and make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, the walk to the centro is aprox 5 mins and walking to the lake 2 mins, whilst being in the centre of Bacalar you feel a sense of tranquility and being looked after. Breakfast and food are excellent, rooms are spacious and VERY comfortable, it’s a safe heaven where you are being looked after. The day we left we had to catch our bus at 8 AM, they prepared us a breakfast on the go, highly appreciated! Those little things make Blue Palm Bacalar stand out. Juan and team, we are fans and will definitely return

would have liked to stay longer

We loved this hotel so much!! It's a hidden gem in a great location! We felt at home. Everything was clean and comfy. It's even prettier in person. The shower had great water pressure. The food was delicious! Don't just eat there for breakfast!! Juan was a great help giving us ideas of things to do. He's really passionate about making sure you have the best experience possible, on-site and off-site! The girls at the reception were very friendly and helpful making reservations. They offer new bikes to take out. We had a car, but primarily walked everywhere. We had to laugh at the sounds of the rooster, goats and ducks. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved everything!

This place is an absolute jewel. Even though, it’s not located directly next to the lagoon, this place is a dream if you want to relax and wind down. The owner and the staff in general are super helpful and welcoming and the love for details is visible all around. Rooms are spacey and really clean. The breakfast is great and the connected restaurant makes leaving this place rather unnecessary. And if you feel like taking a stroll to the main square (e.g. for elotes or marquesitas) it’s just a 10 min walk. We would have loved to stay a few nights longer! Also, if you don’t feel like walking, you may take one of the bicycles free of charge!

In all honesty - we didn’t dislike anything about this property!

Very charming hotel with a really great atmosphere. We were completely satisfied with everything. Breakfast is absolutely top of the top! The room was very clean. Only a twin room was available, though we wished to have a double one. I discussed it with the personel 4 weeks in advance and I was really surprised to see the beds put together without any reminder. The location is fine - it's a 10 minutes walk from the public beach, 5 minutes to the city center and 10 minutes to the bus station. The restaurant Mistura is definitely worth visiting.

Everything was perfect. A friendly tip - to put a water cooler in the reception hall for filling up the bottles.

Just a couple blocks from the city center where there are a good amount of places to eat, cafes to hang out, and other things to do. I liked how spacious the rooms were, the pool, availability of towels and the ability to do laundry on site. The owner was really friendly.

The water pressure in the bathroom so it was hard to get a good flush and take a quick shower. It took a while for the AC to work and the SMART TV channels (prime, netflix) didn't work.

Beautiful rooms, beautiful pool. I loved all the plants and the great hammocks! Everything is beautifully designed! We got a warm welcome at the reception and the hotel owner is very kind and gives you a lot of information. A big plus are the bikes you can use for free to bike around Bacalar. And the breakfast was delicious! Honestly, everything was perfect. Favourite stay during our travels in Mexico!
