We appreciate the good location of the hotel, the grooming, the comfortable sleeping and the cleanliness. Front desk service diligent and helped us connect to a different SSID as the standard wifi offered was very weak. We didn't take advantage of the inviting swimming pool as it often rained heavily. The biggest advantage was the excellent "Mr Taco" restaurant opposite.

The downsides were the (traditional) lack of hooks and lines for drying wet things and the poor internet in the room. The front desk helped us by connecting to a different SSID. The lagoon was a bit further to get to, but the club facilities and kayak offerings were worth to visit.

The room itself was a good size, and very clean, with coffee facilities and a nice bathroom with good shower pressure. The pool area was lovely, with a few loungers / seats, and there is filtered water available whenever you need it at reception. The location is spot on, only a few blocks from the lake and opposite Mr Taco (a great restaurant). The beach club is a big plus for free access to the lake along with 2 hours free kayaking. Although it’s basic and around 15 mins from the hotel, it was a lovely place to relax for the day. The staff were friendly, and really helpful when we had questions.

As other reviews noted, the sound insulation isn’t great so noise from birds / neighbouring rooms could be heard. However, we still slept fine so this wasn’t a big issue. Although staff were very helpful when we asked, they weren’t forthcoming with help. For example, our room didn’t initially have hand soap until we asked for it, and we didn’t realise there were pool towels as no-one had highlighted this. Additionally, no recommendations or town map we’re provided on arrival.

The room was wirh a kitchen. I didnt need to cook but it was great for making coffee and there was a fridge . Most hotels I stayed didn't have. Spacious room, terrace Nice pool closing at 9 pm Helpful staff They recommend going to the club at the lake 10 min walk but don't do that. The club is dirty, no maintenance and unfriendly people. There is a very nice beach restaurant 2 min walk, La Playita where you can spend the day relaxing

The wifi is on & off, that was a burden as I was also working Next to the pool it works well

The property (especially the rooms) were beautiful. We liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night, we had to move to one of the downstairs rooms but this was just as lovely and so spacious. The staff were so kind and accommodating, they always greeted us and were always so happy to help. We had seen a few bad reviews about the location of the beach club, and yes it is a walk but it means you are at a much nicer part of the lake than that which is directly in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is close to town so is perfect for accessing all the bars and restaurants. You really do get the best of both worlds at this place!

Room was a good size. Bathroom also. We liked the swimming pool. That area had a nice garden. Staff was helpful and nice.

The palapa roof made the room smell a bit moldy after the rains when the sun was out. I think this was also the reason why the room was a bit louder than I expected. Constant barking of dogs next door ( I don't think it was any of the guests' dogs) was irritating, especially when it was midnight and I wanted to sleep. I guess that is not the hotel's fault. They have a private "club" where you can access the lagoon for free but it was a bit of a trek to get there, and it's not an area where you can easily get a taxi.

Free kayaks at the beach club and the most lovely and helpful man worked down there. (There isn’t a beach but is some nice decking to view the beautiful lake from). Hotel itself is in a good spot in town, comfy rooms and beds, we had an unexpectedly huge room! Pool is cute. Staff helpful.

Nothing really. It is a 15min walk to the beach club, but as others have said, that means you get a well located hotel and well located beach club.

Fantastic location. Walkable to everything. Lovely property. Comfortable rooms. Our room had a lovely spacious deck. Would definitely recommend.

The temperature in the evenings was so perfect during our stay— it would be AMAZING if the property installed screens on the windows so it would be possible to sleep with windows open and fan on instead of having to close the windows and run the air conditioning at night. I hope Poza Clara will make this update 🤞

Great location, just off from the lake. Very quiet rooms with a warm shower and aircon. The pool was a great size, and the beach club was about a 15 minute walk but really worth it, very picturesque and private, with deck chairs, toilets and kayaks to use for free. Lots of nearby restaurants. Would recommend!

Could have done with an extra blanket, as the beds were only made with a sheet, so it did get a bit cold on the first night. This was provided by the staff on the second night.

The room was clean and tidy, and had everything I needed. The covered balcony with a hammock was a blessing when it was raining. You have access to a lagoon side, which is about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute taxi. It’s a safe, quiet space to drop your things, take out a kayak or have a swim in the lagoon. The food in their in their restaurant is superb, especially the breakfast! The staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended this place!

The room was very spacious. It has a balcony with a hammock and it's just a couple blocks away from the city center. That's actually ideal because the main square can get too loud as bars and restaurants blast music all night long. The best part was the beach club. It's 8 blocks away but it is worth it. We were the only ones there and you get to use a free kayak. Everything was sparkling clean.
