I did not like the service at the cappuccino place at all. Also, I felt that they need more employees when the hotel is at full capacity

Far, FAR from the city. So basically it's a resort only destination. The walls are thin. Unless you're on the 4th (top) floor, you will hear neighbors. Too many people with masks. I was harassed at the buffet by an employee for my mask slightly below the nose. That was rude and aggressive: totally unnecessary. That was an exception though, as most employees are great.

Great hotel and location. It’s 45 mins away from the airport north of the main cancun strip so don’t expect to have anything significant close by. There is another Riu next door with water slides between the two properties and easy accessibility. The beach and ocean here are spectacular with almost no seaweed. There are palm trees on the beach providing some protection from the sun. Love this natural setting!! The resort has a buffet which serves a selection of foods from the various restaurants. Food selection was OK, if you’re here for a longer stay it can get repetitive. Travelling with family we mostly ate at the buffet. Did not seem worth the wait to line up for the a la carte resturants. Room was comfy and clean. The entire resort was clean. Staff were friendly.

Not a big fan of towel cards. Gift shop and Photo Booth is expensive so use only when absolutely required.

For our first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, the Riu exceeded our expextations. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and with a sea view! Great oprions restaurant options from the main buffet to the 5 speific restaurants. (Our favorite: Zarape, the mexican restaurant). Staff was very helpful and kind. Antonio at the check in desk is a true asset to the hotel. He was very kind and welcoming and made our check in process very easy. Marieli and Aidee in the spa are great! Best massages. The entertainment team is excellent! We loved the international and comedy shows. We truly enjoyed our stay and definitively will recommend to friends and family, and of course return!

The beach was nice with plenty of palm trees, lots of dining options (could improve) but over all good. the service was amazing! Packo and Lili at the buffet where always smiling and ensuring guests have a good time. It not mistaking names, Omar at the bar was also A++ in fact the entire staff was A++. supe helpful! since the moment we checked it we where very pleased.

most Pool/beach bars close at 6 but one remains opens, there was a day that a private event took place and with that the only pool bar was out of reach for the rests of the guests. The food overall was good, but certainly could improve specially at the theme restaurants.

food (Buffetts ) is great. the pools are very nice. room was big and comfortable. pools and beach accesses are great. great bar and service around it

1) you dont answer emails and if you do - its way too late. it is close to impossible to communicate with the hotel over emails as well as over the phone. 2) you dont respect promises (about rooms for example) and its needs to be verify again and again 3) reservation in the restaurants is NOT GOOD at all. no one can explain this broken system

We really enjoyed our vacation in Riu Palace Costa Mujeres! Beautiful hotel, very nice service and great food. Special thank you to Juan at the front desk who welcomed us and the photographer Raul from Columbia who made our session super fun and very professional. Great family friendly hotel!

Queen size beds would be much more comfortable for 2 people than twin size. AC was loud. Otherwise the hotel was great!

With celiac disease we were pleasantly surprised with how accommodating the resort was to allergies. They were very proactive with signs on all food and made it easy to know what was safe to eat. And there were plenty of delicious options! The water park was fun for the kids. Lots of activities to keep busy and switch things up between swimming.

Banging of drawers from the neighboring room waking us up each morning. The restaurants are placed so most of the rooms have a view of the building between the ocean. The kids club was never open.
