Staff was great, facilities are clean, room was spacious loved the fact that it actually has a walk-in closet, it doesn't have hanging rods for clothes but excellent space to store bulky luggage. There is another mall space to hang clothes with hangers and shelfs as well. The room was quiet. There was a wedding one day and a party the next day that lasted until the early hours of the morning. You could hear the music from the room but really low it didn't mess with my sleep at all. The kitchenette was stocked with fresh water, plates, cups, and forks. It was a great option for saving the environment some plastic cups and plates we would've purchased during our stay. AC worked great. We had hot and cold water in the shower at all times it was never a problem.

The location is in punta sur and very few food places within walking distance. We had a broken key chain that we were waiting for replacement we were there 7 full days and the replacement never arrived. The main entrance is towards the back, and the street available to go down to the hotel entrance is in very bad shape, big rocks, pot holes, and a bit dangerous for vehicles to go all the way down there but they do go down there anyway. For anyone with walking difficulties it will be better to avoid this place. There are a few places that use that same road. I wonder why they haven't talked about this and all get together to fix this little road after all it will benefit everyone. All in all, I will definitely consider coming back to this hotel. It's a great option

This is such a lovely place and we are so happy we stayed here. The staff are excellent! Super helpful and informative, we booked the isla contoy trip and a golf cart with them, which we highly recommend. The room is really spacious and comfortable, has a water station, coffee machine, fridge and everything you need. The location is South Island, and we preferred this as it was more relaxed and still had good bars/ restaurants that you can walk to. It was easy to get a taxi if you wanted to head up to the north island. Added bonus is the use of the facilities at the kin-ha beach bar across the road. We loved Kin Ha, a great vibe, food, drinks, and staff. You can use their snorkle equipment, pools, and get breakfast included here. Also recommend visiting the Isla Brewing company bar (mid Island), great setting, drinks selection, and food, we went twice!

We LOVE Casa Azul Maya. This is the second time we've stayed here and we selected it purposefully given we enjoyed our stay so much last time. The units are well appointment and include everything you need. The location on the south end of the island isn't for everyone but we love it down there. It's less crowded, has a more quaint feel, and the views on both side of the island are amazing (it's a simply walk on a paved road to see Cancun or the other side which are crashing waves). The arrangement Casa Azul has with Kin Ha is perfect for us. We walk a short way to go to Kin Ha and enjoy breakfast, the pool, the chairs, the ocean, the drinks, and the wonderful staff. Also, the staff at Casa Azul are very friendly, helpful, and speak excellent English. Damian was especially helpful to ensure we had everything we needed and to make suggestions for restaurants, etc.

We forgot that there can be bugs in January that bite. I wish I'd remembered to bring our bug spray! It wasn't unbearable but bug spray would have been good to remember. Nothing that Casa Azul can control.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Azyl Maya. The main reason for this, the staff, they were all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They really made our stay exceptional! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I can't recommend it enough. The room itself was spacious, clean and modern. We loved all the little touches like filtered water and coffee. The beach club nearby is also brilliant! The kyak and paddle board rental is available for free. Their margaritas are the best on the island. We rented a golf buggy through the hotel which was super easy and a good price. There is also a new Santander ATM and small supermarket within walking distance which is ideal!

My only cristicm, our room was the only one with no WIFI connection. Not a big deal but you're not able to check messages/emails once in the room

The staff were fantastic. Front desk staff were exceedingly helpful in finding a bilingual doctor when we needed one and arranged a taxi pick up. Angel and Damien were both exceptionally kind. The cleaning staff was also excellent.

I liked everything. While there was a couch and chairs around a table I would have appreciated a comfortable chair.

A spacious well decorated room. We spent nine nine nights comfortably. Good quality coffee and filtered water are provided. Shower gel, shampoo & conditioner are also provided. The bed was comfortable. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Azul Maya is in a fairly quiet location, but convenient for access to most places. The bus does a circular route & stops directly outside hotel access road to Punta Sur (otherwise a 10/15 min walk) Playa Norte & ferry terminals all 1usd. If you cross the road, turn left and turn almost immediately right, walk a few minutes, you are on the Caribbean Coastline. Breakfast is provided at Kin Ha across the path or Mayan Beach Club (at Playa Norte) restaurants You can have almost any main breakfast dish, and a basic juice like orange or American coffee. ( Latte, fancier juice you pay for it). The breakfast lasted us all day and most were good. You can use the sunbeds at both places and when we stayed it cost a min 300peso each, which you can use against drink or food. This place has a lot to recommend it

There were a few basic utensils missing in the kitchen that could make life easier, such as a fruit knife, microwave dish. Some small maintenance tasks needed doing, our shower holder was broken, so we needed to do hand-held showers. We could have used the rain shower but it was limescaled and went in most directions, not us. The hairdryer sounded like a rocket launch. No English TV channels not even news. The upstairs hotel doing their pressure washing at 7am!

The rooms are spacious and the Kin Ha restaurant across the street has a stunning pool, climbing wall, ocean swing and hammock, snorkeling, and free kayaking/ paddle boarding, which guests of Casa Maya have access to. The room has coffee in it for you to make in the mornings. It is within walking distance of Punta Sur, Capitan Dulche, Castilla de Garrafon, and Garrafon amusement park.

The wifi was inconsistent. Even though there’s coffee in the room, my room had no mugs. The location is very far from the center. I decided to stay here for a few nights and then move to the Northern part of the island so I could experience both sides. Kin Ha is very expensive. If you walk north 10 minutes you can go to Nomads hostel which costs less than half as much and still has a beautiful beach you can enjoy. There’s also a local food person across the street from Nomads.

Beautiful hotel on the South end of Isla Mujeres. The breakfast was delicious and the pool and ocean views were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful in booking taxis and airport transportation for us.

Hotels in this area are far from most beaches and the ocean access from the hotel is just directly into the water. But getting a taxi or golf cart out to Playa Norte is very easy.

The breakfast was awesome, Kin ha was a nice location to start the day with a good breakfast looking into the ocean. The room and location were good, a outside space like the rooftop pool area that there is no access to would be awesome, it would give the opportunity to cool off at the location rather than having to go to kin ha, don’t get me wrong, having access to the ocean through kin ha is great but there’s a pool that is not available to the guests.

The room was a nice size, the bedrooms were great. But the shower was probably the worst shower I’d ever stepped into, it was very difficult to get the shampoo rinsed off, other than that it was all good.

Great location, beach club is just across the way and has good food and drinks and beautiful water. Not a sandy beach, but lots of steps down from the dock to swim and kayak, paddle board, snorkel, bounce on the floating trampoline, etc.

Had to message and ask for WiFi password. No remote for the TV. Room could have been cleaner. Terrible pillows.
