We really loved the great breakfast with lots of made to order options and fresh fruit. A good gym with plenty of varied equipment. The pool area is lovely, there are a mixture of diffent Inter-looping pools for all tastes. The pool staff are super attentive and helpful. Excellent pool side drinks and food. The room is spacious, very well put together with good use of space. Lots of clever hidden storage. We loved the way the toilet, shower and bathroom are all one yet each area is separate. A very modern, open plan hotel that feels relaxed yet orientated to make all age groups feel welcome. Very very close to the 5th avenue and all it’s nightlife, yet the moment you step into the hotel, the outside disappears…. no noise, no people…. It’s great to be able to dip in and out of the party yet keep the calm hotel vibe.

The pool area can be a little loud due to the beach club located next to the hotel, but this is only from mid day to late afternoon.

This property is really amazing. I've stayed at higher priced options, like Paradiussus and this property has nothing to envy. The location is amazing, right next to all restaurants and bars on 5th av, also the property sits literally on the edge of the ocean, so you always see, smell and hear the ocean when you are on any public space. If you are not doing the all inclusive, I highly recommend paying the ext money for the "Club", the breakfast and 6-8 happy hour/buffet is well worth the money.

The service is not up there with other high end properties, I would give it a 8 out 10 for service, it's very good, but not excellent, sometimes you have to wait more then usual for servers and drinks, I think if they increased the amount of bartenders and a few more servers would help expedite their service, but if you are patient then you are good.

The hotel was very cool, very open from lobby to views of water- loved it. The pool was large and plenty of room for guests to lounge. There were plexiglass barriers for the lounge chairs up front facing water and well protected from wind. The staff was TOP NOTCH. Very responsive and professional. Rooms were very spacious and bathroom had huge walkin shower and separate toilet stall. Great closet space in bathroom as well. I always find hotels do not give enough closet space for 2 adults- not an issue at the Hyatt. Loved the property and the 3 block walk to 5th Avenue. The beach is as others say- not very deep but we spent all our time at the pool. Absolutely would stay again!!!! Also- covid test was easy to schedule and results were very quick

If I had to give 1 negative- it would be beach which was still plenty big- seems to be eroding maybe. They make up for it with the grand pool area

The hotel is excellently located in Playa del Carmen with a good access to the beach and the town. The pool area is very nice and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The staff are really polite and the service excellent. The pool area snacks and drinks are very nice

Sadly for this hotel the food experience in the breakfast and dinner is awful. The "La cocina" restaurant is really far from good. The breakfast is cheap american style and the restaurant gives you the impression of dirty. The dinner the same as well. Many drunk people around and low quality tourism...The beach is also ruined by the motor sports smelling petrol... a pity

There is nothing bad to say at all about the property and its staff. By far the best hotel in Playa. staff is amazing in general but below a few mentions: - Hector who manages the pool / bed area is amazing and goes that extra mile. - Notorio - who works on the beach is super friendly and treated us very well. - Romel and Marcela in the club lounge also very sweet and always smiling. - Agustina (front office manager) - sorted out a small admin error and went beyond what she had to do to treat us well. Very nice of her to look us up on the beach to speak to us in person rather than on the phone. I have stayed here multiple times and I highly recommend it!

The place is great. The staff is very friendly. We had a few problems with the room but the Manager Oliver and the staff made the arrangements to fix it and make us feel comfortable.

The reception is stressing. It’s in open air and the wind makes it hard to listen, talk and sign papers that can fly away easily. The room service food is disappointing.

They closed 90% of the pool seating with just a day’s notice, for a wedding. that’s fine, but if i knew in advance, we would have done our tulum trip that day instead. i tried to get info about daytrips before checkin. they told me 3 times that their tour partner would reach out and they never did.

I always book a king size bed because both myself and my husband are quite tall, but this was not a king size bed despite confirming with staff. It was nobody's fault as I'm sure the room we were in was registered in the system as a "king room," but there was no way this was a king sized bed. The towels and linen, comforter, and pillow were also much older and worn down compared to another local Hyatt hotel (also 5 star hotel) we stayed at. Clean, but definitely older and not as comfortable to use.

The location and the swimming pool is just amazing! The food we ordered was excellent too. The staff was very helpful and so hospitable. Would definitely come again to stay for longer.

1) Less vegetarian food options. 2) Delivery fee for room service 3) Hotel beach had a lot of sea weed but that's not their fault.

- Hotel is really beautiful: very interesting architecture, pretty but practical interior, open-door plan of the reception and some bars/restaurants - Fantastic infinity pools and beach, enough lying chairs around - We really loved "The Grill at 1-26" restaurant - their Tenderloin Steak was just perfect! One of the best we've ever had:) And the service was great too!!! Yairo was extremely nice and helpful - Great gym - spacious, well equipped, 24h open - When we wanted to rent a car for a day, the receptionist (I'm so sorry I haven't noted the name) arranged it all for us - including the car pick up and hand over at the hotel + the price was really good too. - At the reception we also received plenty of helpful tips e.g. which Cenotes to visit :) - In general entire STAFF was fantastic !!! - Great location - just a couple minutes to the famous Quinta Avenida

There is only one small thing I could mention (but I'm not reducing the rating): - it felt really humid in the room. Even though we had the air-con running all the time it seemed to keep the temperature cool but didn't dehumidify the air well. That caused a little strange smell. Not sure if it was only our room or general thing.
