This (to me) is the quintessential Moroccan experience. I will give my actual experience... When we were going to the place, the area is not touristy at all, to the degree that a helpful local stopped and asked if he could help as we were in the tourist area! As we came down the small alley, I told my family it didn't look like the right place... Then we arrived, what an incredible experience! The owner greeted us very cordially, helped with the luggage and helped us settle into the beautiful room. Everything is beautiful (you will hear that a lot in this review). Somehow or other the incongruence of the area and the beautiful place made it even more amazing. The ante room with the intricate tile work and fountain, incredible tile work (the whole place is like a work of art), is inviting, relaxing and affable. The room with its carved double beds, carpets, tables, wardrobes it is like someone has been touring the local antique shops and bought everything that was beautiful. It is an oasis of beauty (I know I am wearing this out) but I cannot do it justice without saying beauty (I have to stop). The walk to the nearest restaurant is chaotic, honking cars and moped careen at high speed, but somehow we made it and had a great meal, anxious to return to the haven of Leuleu. The place was so nice that when we were discussing what we should do the next day, my 18 year old daughter said she would just stay at Leuleu and we could go out into the hectic city. The breakfast was magnifique, they served coffee and my wife asked if they had tea, the waitress pricked some fresh mint leaves from a potted plant and made traditional Moroccan mint tea on the spot! The usual bread based breakfast with 4 different types of bread and the ubiquitous croissant (probably one of the only times you will thank French colonialism). The terrace is like a boudoir, with comfy sofas to relax in the shelter of calm, because you know once you step out of the door it will be hectic!

The local area, but somehow that enhances the beauty of the place...

Our recent trip to Marrakesh marked our first visit to Morocco, and we were fortunate to have stayed at the wonderful Riad Dar LEULEU, situated in the heart of the Medina, the old town centre. Despite our late flight and after-hours check-in, the manager, Ihssan, graciously waited for us outside. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by his sister, Najda, with cold water and delicious mint tea. Hospitality and Service: Our stay lasted three full days, and from the moment we arrived, Ihssan was incredibly accommodating. He immediately helped us plan an itinerary that covered all our interests in history, art, and desert activities. Remarkably, he arranged a private tour that was not only comprehensive but also cheaper than group tours we had researched beforehand. Room and Riad Amenities: The Riad itself felt like a home away from home. Our room was spacious, adorned in traditional Moroccan style, and equipped with everything we needed. The architecture of the Riad was so cleverly designed that we didn’t need to use the air conditioning, despite the hot weather outside. Ihssan gave us a tour of the Riad, which included a cosy common living room on the first floor and a rooftop area for breakfast and relaxation. On preference, the breakfast could be served on the ground floor at the cosy area. Breakfast and Daily Care: Each morning, Ihssan ensured our breakfast was ready at our preferred time. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, often more than we could finish, and we were also offered packed lunch/snacks for our tours. The car for our tours arrived promptly each day, thanks to Ihssan’s meticulous planning. Our room was cleaned daily, and Ihssan regularly checked in to see if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. Throughout our tours, Ihssan kept in touch via WhatsApp to ensure everything was going smoothly. Our stay at Riad Dar LEULEU was truly unforgettable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Ihssan and his family.

A traditional riad in a relatively good location (quite close to the medina). It is possible to find this riad without the help of locals. Delicious breakfast served on the roof terrace.

Although I understand that one morning we were left without breakfast due to the fact that we left very early, I wonder if it is right that a box with some snacks was not prepared, since breakfast was also paid for.

Beautiful quiet Riad with traditional furnishings and decorations. The host was very obliging and communication was good. Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional but for the price, good value but some fresh fruit would have improved it.

The area around the Riad was a little rough and there were hustlers trying it on, but I imagine it could be like that in other areas too. The lack of fruit at breakfast

Very friendly, caring and welcoming host. We are stuck at the airport and he was waiting for us until 00.30am. Good location if you travel without a car, overwise you struggle to find the place to park. Literally a couple of minutes from the heart of Medina.

Breakfast could have been better, more options, we have had one tiny pancake, half flat bread and jams, honey, peanut butter ish spread, coffee and juice (not fresh). It wasn't fulfilling, but that's what you get for the price you pay. Also, the room itself was beautiful but the size of it very small.

There were three of us and the room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was plentiful with bread, fruit, coffee and juice. There were no other guests besides us, so we could use the terrace. The air conditioning works well and there is hot water.

There are no curtains in the showers, so if you are not careful, the bathroom can get flooded. Also, payment was cash only. The worst part was the surroundings of the hotel. It is not safe because it is in the medina. Children came to ask for money and we were scared because Asians are rare and they were staring at us.

The riad is well furnished, it has everything you need for a great stay in Marrakesh! The rooms are better than the pictures, and even if the nights are a bit cold in Marrakesh in the winter, the rooms have AC heating and extra blankets. Our host and friend Esham was open, kind, helped us in every way he could, and he organized a feast for us when we left. Even if the prices from the menu seem a little steep, the food is clean, fresh, the portions are for kings and definetly for more than one person...

It was great! Very beautiful and cozy, comfortable and the hosts are the sweetest! The breakfast is delicious, they offered us tea at night and they were very attentive to our needs. They are genuinely the sweetest people and we couldn’t be luckier with the place we chose to stay at for our vacation. Thank you! All the best

The place is nicely design and is very welcoming. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Ehsan who made sure all my needs were met and was very helpful. You can ask for a home made morrocan meal while there at a very reasonable price.

The place was lovely and clean but needs some renovations. The door and window in my room didn't close well, but I enjoyed privacy regardless

The property is good positioned, nearby you can find pharmacies, places to eat and small market shops. Clean and cosy place. Breakfast was really nice. Beds were comfortable, overall nice ambient and perfect terrace on the top of the object. Staff was really helpful and overall nice and polite.

Did not like the fact that the dinner made by the host and his family in this riad was a bit overpayed. It was not mandatory but still more expensive than in the best restaurants of Marrakesh.
