+ Rahim (alias James Franco) is a wonderful host. he comes to the train station at 4:30h in the morning to pick me up and also he help me with some issues. he is funny and he makes you feel at home. I contracted a desert safari with him (wonderful too) and the next day he let me take a shower and rest in his hotel. he always has a chai to offer you :)

Incredible value in a great Thamel location. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was so friendly and helpful! I stayed in three different places in Kathmandu during my travels and this was definitely the best for the affordable price! The attached restaurant serves great food and is an excellent spot to hang out.

Evening shower was not entirely hot, but morning and afternoon there was plenty of hot water.

Clean room, comfy bed, super staff (young, welcoming, very helpful and always smiling). Surprisingly quiet. A bit of noise in the early morning but not related to the hotel staff. More the locals going to work. Excellent restaurant. Will adapt food to you likings and taste. Could not ask for better. For the price this is by far the best place I have found.

I had a wonderful stay at Yala Peak during my first week in Nepal. It was the perfect place to base myself as it was in such a great location. The room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was okay but very small and in need of some refurbishment but can't complain for the price. The people there were so lovely and accommodating to any needs I had. Always welcomed me with a warm smile. Their restaurant was also wonderful, excellent choice of food and great prices. I lost count of how many times I ate there!

Hotel was in cul-de-sac location, which was decently quiet and only 100 m away from busy street. Also, very convenient to have cafe in the hotel with beautiful garden settings. Absolutely fantastic combination.

Wi-Fi was not good. After talking to receptionist I've got different wi-fi connection, which was fine. Towel could have been updated with newer version - was clean just looked quite old.

Let me begin by saying this was my fourth trip to Nepal over the years and this was by far the best, without a doubt! Absolutely brilliant and wonderful place to stay. Right in the middle of the bustling Thamel, yet nestled away from the noise (I reckon it's not noise, it's part of the experience, beautiful chaos, as they say 😊) Great rooms, suited to each one's budget and clean. The cleaning staff keep the place top notch right through the day. Right from check-in, everything is smooth and the staff go out of their way to make you so, so, so comfortable. There's a saying in Nepali: Atithi Devo Bhava which translates to 'Guest is God.' And this is true of Hotel Yala Peak. Every member of the staff was so helpful during my stay, but a very special mention goes out to baini (little sister) Isha (Baini, hope you got the little gift I left for you at the reception as I had an early morning flight and couldn't see you and say good bye). She is such a sweet person and has so much of positive energy that it feels like all is well with the world! 😊. Dhanyabad, baini (little sister). Wonderful stay I had visited Kathmandu with my son and daughter in the first week of January.It was a memorable experience for us. Room was very clean and spacious.. This place is super comfortable and beautiful, in a quiet neighbourhood. Absolutely perfect place,super safe and affordable. I enjoyed the delicious food at in-house restaurant at a very reasonable price. Staff was so humble. Owner and the Manager Mangal was so quick to respond and they helped us for making our sightseeing itinerary and visiting nearby places.wonderful person,very helpful. Overall it was an awesome stay at a good value. I highly recommend everyone to stay in this hotel.. Thanks Jyoti😊

Location: Extremely accessible yet away from the noise of the busy road. Restaurant: This was the most fun part of the experience watching the waitstaff interacting with the guest. The excitement in their eyes to serve the guests while still being hospitable and showcasing Nepalese hospitality. The food was on point and portion size was proportionate to the price. Front desk: One of the most friendly front desk teams I have ever met. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Housekeeping: BIG ROOMS. Rooms were very comparable to those of higher budgets. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
