Central location tucked down alleyway so nice and quiet. Good sized room and bathroom. Helpful staff

Room had window that faced adjoining building window so had to keep curtains closed. As a result had little natural light

A family run hotel who really looked after their guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the excellent family team. A pleasure to have met them all. The hotel is located in a very good spot for many Kathmandu tourist attractions and we were very glad of the opportunity to stay there.

We had a very good size room at the front of the hotel...regretfully there was a nightclub on the opposite side of the road which for older people like us, was somewhat noisy and a couple of times our sleep was badly affected. The only other tiny issue was that the wet room styled ensuite was tricky to stop from being flooded...as the shower was great but not a lot of room to manoever in.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Nepal Pavilion Inn, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was met with warmth, hospitality, and an ambiance that truly made my stay memorable. The Nepal Pavilion Inn is a hidden gem in the heart of Nepal, and it offers a unique blend of comfort and culture. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the decor tastefully incorporated traditional Nepalese elements, giving guests a genuine taste of the local culture. The attention to detail in the design of each room truly stood out. The highlight of my stay, however, was the owner. His commitment to ensuring his guests have an exceptional experience is evident in every aspect of the hotel. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, providing valuable insights into the local attractions, and even taking the time to personally engage in friendly conversations with guests. The restaurant at Nepal Pavilion Inn is another testament to its excellence. The traditional Nepalese dishes were prepared to perfection, and the flavors were an absolute delight. I appreciated that they also offered a variety of international dishes for those with diverse tastes. The staff at the Nepal Pavilion Inn are equally remarkable. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request. Their genuine smiles and willingness to ensure a comfortable stay were much appreciated. The location of the hotel is convenient for exploring the beautiful city of Nepal, with many attractions and markets within walking distance. Whether it's the bustling streets or serene temples, you are never far from the heart of Nepal's culture and heritage. I highly recommend the Nepal Pavilion Inn to anyone looking for a wonderful and culturally enriching stay.

My wife and I had an amazing time at this family hotel in Nepal. Seriously, it's like a hidden gem in the middle of the chaos that is the city streets. The family vibe is so strong; it felt like we were staying with relatives rather than at a hotel. Even though the streets outside were wild, once you step into the property, it's a whole different world – calm, cozy, and inviting. And let me tell you about the owner – they're not just running a business; it's like they're hosting a big family gathering. You can feel the genuine effort they put into making everyone's stay special. It's not just about the rooms; it's about the whole experience. We left with not just good memories, but a feeling like we were leaving a home away from home. If you're in Nepal, this place is a must-visit!

Our room didn’t have outdoor window (only the indoor), but since we didn’t stay inside during the day it wasn’t an issue.

The hotel was in a great location with access to many restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions. The room was a very good size for a small establishment and it was amazingly decorated with many cultural nepalese artefacts. The owners and staff were very welcoming and hospitable during our stay and they had a lovely roof top garden restaurant to relax and enjoy. We will definitely consider staying here on our return to Nepal.

It was a little dark and surrounded by other buildings which didn't allow for any views but it didn't detract from our pleasant stay in Thamel as there is plenty to do.

Mehesh and his family are exceptional people who made us feel welcomed and valued guests. Mahesh made sure to give us the quietest room as we requested and helped us with everything from booking taxis to travel arrangements outside Kathmandu. I don't think we had ever had such an outstanding service. The location is excellent and the room was of a good size. The air-conditioning was very good. We stayed for 5 nights and had some breakfasts and a dinner in the hotel on the roof top. The dinner was very good.

The breakfast wasn't very good. The food was plain and there was no variety.

Staff and owner are incredibly helpful and lovely, organised the taxi from the airport for us, gave us advice on how to get the bus to start our Langtang hike and then later to Chitwan. Also stored our bags while we were away on both trips and let us relax on the roof top on the day we came back from Chitwan while we waited for our flight out of Nepal. We booked three nights and returned again for another two. Location is perfect, just out of the busy Thamel area but within very short walking distance, great coffee close by. The food at the hotel is good too. Comfy bed and warm shower. Would highly recommend.

This is a fantastic stay in Kathmandu. The location is perfect, close to everything but still in an alley off the street. Mahesh and his crew, including his cousin behind the reception desk, are amazing! They have been assisting me all the time and are able to take care of anything one may need. The beds are fantastic. Whereas other places in Nepal usually have a hard mattress, here it is soft. The rooms are very clean and have everything that is needed. The building does not have an elevator (none in Nepal do!). If you’re looking for elevators, then Nepal may not be your country to visit. I needed a guide for a trekking and Mahesh was incredible in organizing a guide that is knowledgeable and kind. The rooftop restaurant and bar, for hotel guests, is a great place after having spend time in the city. Kamal, who runs the restaurant, is so friendly and kind. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kathmandu, look no further! During my trip I kept on returning to this place! Upon my return in Nepal, I will without doubt stay here again. A home away from home!

There is absolutely nothing to dislike.

The staff were amongst the friendliest and most helpful we have encountered! When we needed a bus ticket to Besishahar, the owner drove us to get a ticket on his scooter and when we got sick after being in Pokhara, he gave us rehydration salts and water and was always checking in on us to make sure we were ok. The hotel itself is in the perfect location in Thamel, and despite being on one of the main streets, it’s so quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Kathmandu!

Owner was sooo friendly and helpful - went out of his way to help us with transport, attractions and bookings at no extra costs. Talked to him and became friends :) Thumbs up. Location is great and quiet enough. Walking distance to a lot of places including Thamel Square. Eateries and marts located just a few minutes away. Decor is amazing and we are in awe. Friendly staff and always ready to answer our enquiries. Room was cosy.

Sometimes the water temperature can be too cold or boiling hot. Thats all.
