Kathmandu Garden Home really felt like my home away from home during my month in Nepal. I’ve stayed here several times, and every time I come back, the staff makes me feel so welcome and taken care of. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Plus, the food in the restaurant is incredible! What really makes it special, though, is the location. It’s right in the heart of Thamel, so I could easily walk around Kathmandu and explore everything the city has to offer. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

It is a good budget hotel. It is very clean; the staff is friendly; the receptionist provides you with good assistance( I am grateful to Bhawani for her help); a little gem is its cute little garden. Another positive aspect is that the bed and the duvet are very good. Besides, you can easily reach several sights from its location.

I did not like the fact that my bathroom got flooded after every shower, so every day I had to ask the room to be cleaned (which is done on request, not automatically). On my first day the hot water did not work and I had a cold shower, but fortunately the hotel fixed the problem the day after. Besides , the hotel is located in a busy area in Thamel , so it may be quite noisy (although it gets quieter around 10:30 pm).

Kathmandu Garden Home was our base before and after a hike and was super comfortable, practical, and well-run. Great location on a quiet side street off the main drag, comfy and well outfitted rooms, hot showers, and a great system for taking care of our bags while we went on the hike. Would definitely stay again!

My only complaint (very minor) is that they only have instant coffee at the breakfast buffet - I travel with my own coffee/ french press, so I survived, but I shudder to think for other, less prepared travelers.

I stayed in Kathmandu Garden Home over 9 day . Very quiet and peaceful inner yard with the best security guard ever There is always reliable hot water available for the shower and air conditioning works well. Location is at the heart of thamel. What makes my stay most unique was the friendly staff. Pick up airport helpful, i arrived at midnight and I lost my luggage at the airport, he waited for more than 1 hour, thank you very much . highly recommend this hotel for peace of mind in Kathmandu so you can enjoy your trip best. I’m will com back again

The room door is very noisy when closed and not soundproof. Hotel should use Silicone Soundproofing Noise Blocker Door. Coffee not good

Breakfast was pretty decent. Location wise the hotel met our expectations. Helped us to complete our work in KTM and at the same time facilitated our travelling experiences. Staffs were friendly and helpful. A big thumbs up to Reservations Manager Mr. Rijal for ensuring we had a safe and peaceful stay.

My stay at this hotel was very satisfying. I want to especially thank Bhawani for her excellent assistance with my reservation. Her kindness and attention to detail made the process smooth, and I was able to enjoy a more comfortable stay because of her. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, making my experience even better. Additionally, the environment was very quiet with little to no noise, allowing me to relax peacefully. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Absolutely love the property, the amenities, the location and the very courteous staff. They are an absolute gem. Front desk managed by bhawani, devyani, govind & mahesh provided an exceptional and smooth experience. The kindest and friendliest people ever. Kshitiz & Mann always made sure the food i was served was made exactly how i like it. And not just food it was the same with drinks and coffees. Rest the entire stay was amazing

Everything was good to be honestly

We were very impressed with all of the staff who couldn’t do enough to help us. The breakfast was exceptional. You only had to ask the chef and he would cook your eggs however you wanted them. The garden was beautiful and restful. They took the stress out of organising trips, bus tickets, drivers, air flights and laundry. The manager met with every guest to check that they were happy with the service and to offer help and advice. We loved the multi role of the bar man who was efficient, polite and attentive.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We've travelled a lot around Nepal and think this might be the best in the price category that we've stayed in. Perfectly clean, including the bathrooms (not all that common at this price point, I'm afraid!) and the staff and manager in particular were super. Even gave our daughter a little departure gift, which was so sweet! Breakfast was also decent, with different options every day. And I usually avoid staying in Thamel as it can be so noisy at night, but this hotel was tucked nicely down a quiet back street. Would definitely stay again.

The only negative was the lack of anything but instant coffee at breakfast! But other coffees could be ordered from the bar.

The hotel is at the edge of the backpackers quarter Thamel. Just 100 meters and you are in the small roades of Thamel. The big advantage is the garden. Kathmandu is a very hectic and noisy city, but the small garden of the hotel was a place of retreat for me. We were there after breakfast for a coffe and often in the afternoon to evade the chaos of Kathmandu roads.

The room is large, but with two large beds it is full. So, in spite of the large room, there was no space to move. This is not ideal for a single traveller. On the other hand I understand the setting, becaouse single travellers are seldom in Thamel.
