Honestly one of the best places i’ve stayed! We were meant to stay the night of the 16th but our flight was cancelled, so we came a day late, and they were very accommodating, they only had a family room left but discounted it for us so we only payed the price of a double room! The staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and chatty. The room was so comfortable and clean and very aesthetically pleasing! They allowed us to store our bags there after checkout, until we left as well which was brillaint. The location was PERFECT, everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. And also not to mention the food was amazing! We had the ‘hot sandwiches’ from the menu and we LOVED them! We couldn’t be happier with our stay and this stay has made us absolutely want to return in the future.

Absolutely everything! I have done nothing but rave to anyone that will listen about the one of a kind experience I had and I 100% plan to return. Every member of the staff was exceedingly friendly and communicative. They used WhatsApp to confirm my arrival time and to confirm my breakfast plans each day - so convenient and easy. The room was accurately described, adorably decorated and EXTREMELY clean. I was traveling alone so the Bookbinder room fit my needs perfectly and even though it was small, it didn't feel like it. They made such clever use of the space that it felt cozy, NOT cramped and the view of the canal can't be beat. I was really impressed by all the small touches that really made it feel like a luxury experience. These are the type of things you typically only get with chain hotel status or when staying at boutique hotels that are 3-4x the price: the complimentary bottle of cava wine, the glass carafes of still and sparking water refreshed daily, a bathrobe and slippers, very high quality toiletries and on and on. Even the sheets and towels had that "luxury hotel/spa" smell. It's hard to describe but if you know, you know! Last, but certainly not least... THE BREAKFAST. If you've read any review besides this one you've probably already heard a lot about it but trust me, it lives up to all the hype. *Chef's kiss* The smell of fresh-baked croissants was my alarm clock each morning and I can't think of a better way to wake up. The option of enjoying breakfast in your room was yet another luxurious touch, though the gallery downstairs is pretty d*mn adorable so you really can't go wrong either way. Just book it already, I promise you'll love it.

Absolutely nothing! My stay here was as close to perfection as you can hope to get and I can't wait to return!

The location is brilliant for sight seeing. An easy walk from the station and plenty of places to eat, drink and shop very close. Not too quiet but not too busy. The view while sitting eating breakfast was magical.

Honestly I think air conditioning was the only thing missing, it was particularly hotter than normal for our visit, so the stone floor probably does a good job normally.

Great location - just round the corner to the main city centre. Unique style - not stayed anywhere like this before. Really comfotable bed. Really helpful and attentive staff throughout our stay - able to offer advice / tips and organise taxi's without issue. Hotel is very quirky which adds to it's charm - each of the rooms are decorated around a different theme - so much better than a chain hotel.

Room was in the basement so ceiling height is limited - could not stand up straight during the whole stay - so if you are 6! 4" or more then maybe you have to think before booking. Entrance to the room from the reception is not so easy - very steep staircase - lucky the is a seperate entrance direct from the street level into the room. Although in a limited trafic zone you can hear everything coming past the street window - thankfully not so many people walking or cycling in the street during our stay. Breakfast was not up to much - you have to schedule your time the night before due to the limited space so the breakfast could be set up for that time - no buffet just what you are given (very small portions). Coffee was the saving grace though.

the Craftsmen is a quirky hotel in a fabulous location. The room was large, nicely decorated, unique, clean and with the most fantastic bath. A bonus was the hairdryer which was an actual functioning hairdryer (Dyson) rather than the normal fan tethered to a wall disguised as a useful implement, small detail but makes a difference. The bubbles in the fridge were also a really lovely touch. beautiful cut glasses in the room, and great tea and coffee making facilities also made for a lovely stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast both plentiful and lovely. I’d definitely return and highly recommend to others.

The only downside (and it’s small but annoying) was the lack of tiny traveller comforts like cotton wool pads, shower cap, and a real bonus would have been bubbles for the enormous bath. These obviously aren’t big things but having to go hunting for cotton wool pads on a two day break when you only need a couple is a bit of a frustrating inconvenience I wouldn’t expect when staying in an expensive hotel. These additions would have made the hotel feel even more sumptuous.

The location, room, facility and staff were all amazing! Really exceeded my expectations and I stayed in probably the smallest room. I got in and the room wasn't ready but was offered a coffee in the Galeria. The only tiny slight disappointment was that breakfast started at 08:00 and I had to leave earlier for the airport. They packed me a very nice doggy bag and prepared a cappuccino to go even at 7:30, but I was envious looking at the actual served breakfast. A reason to come back again ;) I will be back.

loved the quirky, unique character and finish to the property, with decor that remained true to the property but also with modern and luxurious touches. the bed and particularly duvet, was so comfortable. the canal view was lovely and the room was peaceful. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the extra touches like providing a great breakfast with a cute little note for marathon day.

Nothing we didn’t like about the property. Just a note that whilst the room was kept very clean, housekeeping didn’t always clean/replace glasses or toiletries that we had used up and could do with some bath bubbles - I had bought some myself.

This hotel is amazing! I don't really know where to start. The staff were all top-notch. Very professional and so helpful. We were in the boat builder room which was just so cool and spacious. The attention to details and design were unlike any hotel we have ever stayed at. Plus the view of the Single canal was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, the bathroom was modern and the was an elevator but since it was only one flight up we always used the stairs. The breakfast was delicious...eggs, croissants, breads, yogurts, meats and cheeses and my favorite....poffertjes. The location is ideal...very close to the train station yet on a canal and away from the really busy area. We walked to all the sights without problem and used the trains to for day trips out of the city. It was a little more expensive than some other hotels but the view, the breakfast, the rooms and the staff were worth it. We will stay here every time we visit Amsterdam!

The only complaint was that you could hear when people were being noisy on the street, but that was infrequent and minor.

This is hands down the BEST hotel Ive ever stayed at! Incredible rooms with crazy attention to detail, the folks who designed this place did SUCH an amazing job. Also, the breakfast- WOW! What a way to end our stay. This will be the ONLY hotel I will stay at when I come back to this city. The staff are all top notch, the location is perfectly located, and the view from the rooms are exactly what you picture and want when you think of room views in Amsterdam. Stay here, dont look or book anywhere else.

Fantastic location, walking distance to the central station, restaurants and attractions. the hotel has a very unique and stylish design, is recently renovated, and there were little extras like robes and heated towel racks. We stayed because our flight was canceled and we had no luggage, but staff were very helpful in getting us toiletry items and packing a breakfast to go since we had to leave early.
