Mario (the owner) greeted us on arrival, very friendly and helped carry our bags up. We had the top room (11), beds were comfy and had fresh sheets on. Room was clean, functioning hot & cold sink, mirror, and plenty of plug sockets for device charging. Big window opened up to a full view of the street/cathedral (a better view than our friends in the vastly more expensive hotel across the street!). Location really couldn’t have been better, quick walk to everything, and the property is on one of the main streets so is easy to get back to after a long night out! You can hire bikes from the shops next to the hotel, really cheap and easy way to explore the city, and didn’t really have a negative experience for the whole 5 day break. I would happily move to live in the city if I could! Extra thanks also to Mario for keeping our luggage safe on check-out day allowing us to go out for the day before going home! 100% would stay again!

Not really an issue, steep stairs, but this is to be expected throughout the whole of the city. Shared bathrooms were a bit dated, but honestly they were cleaned regularly throughout the day, so wasn’t an issue for a short city break!

Great little hotel in the middle of central Amsterdam, at a reasonable price. Basically, it's a quick walk from anywhere you're planning on going in the area. Also surprisingly decent shower.

You get what you pay for. It's a place to dump your bags and sleep at night, if you're expecting anything more from your stay, that's on you.

Perfect location,.everything is close by. Bed is comfy. Amazingly kind receptionist (thank you Mario). You can leave your bag there. Yes it's a small room, but this is Amsterdam. You wanna go out anyway.

Stairs -With big luggage it would have been harder to get up on the stairs. Wc- There is 1 toilet on each floor but you can use the one on other floor. Noise- it's quite central, noise calms down around 1-2 am.

60 euros is cheap for a room in the center of Amsterdam. De bed was comfortable, with soft-touch bedding. The pillow could be improved, but it always helps to take the towel, fold it in some parts and put it underneath the pillow. The shower worked, but it was not possible to hang the show head on the wall, would be good to repair this. the staff was very friendly.

The location of the hotel is absolutely the best. Comfortable and safe. The staff - nice and helpful. The room was small but with a nice big window.

The water in the shower could be warmer. Good advice: don’t search for a hotel on Google Maps by name because you will get a completely different location. By address you will get to the right place.

If you want a small cheap room that you dont need to share with random other people in an amazing location then this is a great place to stay.

Amazing location literally right in the centre Mario and the other host were really sound, felt very safe as a woman in this hotel and the room was nice

Came back to this hotel after 20 years. it still the same budget hotel without any fancy bonuses, but it gives what it suppose a nice simple accommodation and it's in the city center. would definitely come back! I'm happy they survived the pandemic!

The hotel prices went sky rocketing in Amsterdam so it would be nice if simple hotels like hotel Tamara would give simple lower prices even on the weekends to compete with the big fish hotels that just don't care. The WIFI didn't work at all on the top floor. Would be great if the management could put another router there.

i loved the price and location, for the money it was very much worth it

it wasn't very cleans and the facilities was minimal but honestly only stayed for 3 days and was very affordable so it was perfect

The owner Mario was very kind all the time, he gave us everything we needed and he was always available! Wish more personnel were like him. The place has an excellent location and is very clean.
